That pocky and rocky game is for sale at Stricktly limited games. They also sell its spin off game 'Snow battle princess Sayuki' They also sell the better version with manuals and special editions.
I really enjoyed episode 1 of this. That’s so funny you made these, I’ve been tryin to seek out rare must own games for the past few moths and have been wanting to make a video on them. You’ve inspired me to finally do so!! Great list btw 👽👍🏼
Historically JRPG, and horror titles have always been the games that tend to shoot up in the aftermarket. First Party Nintendo games also go up as they are seen as more collectable than others. But I will say that games that are fully complete are far more likely to hold their value down the line. As in you don't need to download half the game to play it, or have dlc that's also essentially half the game. Funnily enough I saw Pocky and Rocky on Amazon just the other day for $11.99 lol
When Mario 3d all-star came out, i bought a copy at Walmart...there were literally stacks of the game in the glass case left un sold... Then they disappeared... Where did they go?
Interesting to see the difference in PAL/US conceived rarity. Oddworld Collection is on my want list as are the Pikmin games (which I have all games on other systems)
agree, it is always kind of weird hearing about a game being rare, when you can easily find it :) but it goes both ways. Trying to get PAL versions of shin megami tensei/ATLUS 3DS games is hard.
Nice list! I wish I got the original print of New Super Lucky's Tale, but unfortunately I've only got the code in box version. At least it was dirt cheap!
That's one heck of a deal! I thought I got it at a good price for less than $40. It's crazy how quickly some games go up in price compared to back in the day when they would usually get super cheap.
It's mainly the esrb games that get expensive. Hyrule Warriors, Ryza 2 and Mario 3D All stars are already being sold for high prices for the esrb versions. There's also not a lot of Asian copies readily available in North America. I guess time will tell.
@@90shandheldgamer you know it's kinda funny cause i'm asian and the US and EU copies are always cheaper than the asian copies. chinese copies are the most expensive and those have english support too
Another thing to consider is that the Asian versions don't always have English on the cart. So although they may be region free without English they are not gonna be enjoyable for a lot of people.
@@90shandheldgamer for some niche titles yes but for big titles all of them have english. most of my triple A titles are japanese copies because japan has the cheapest ones and i haven't found one that don't have english. if you don't mind not having NA copies, the asian copies are def worth it
Not a bad price for that game. I was fortunate enough to get it used from GameStop online for less than $40. Even came with the case. That was a couple years ago though
Every time I see super mario 3D all stars, I just get happy that I am not a mario fan. It is still around in Denmark the cheapest I have seen is around 800 danish kroner around 116 american dollars.
Ended up importing "Triangle Strategy" because for a while it wouldn't go below $40 used. I was willing to buy it $30 used and found it cheaper elsewhere. Heads up, Pocky and Rocky US got censored while JP version is clean. Can't remember what it was but it was ridiculous. I need to pick up other Atelier Ryza's, got mine new on a sale and need to play it. Definitely need to look at Pikmin 1 and 2 and pick it up. Either on Wii U or Switch.
The Pocky and Rocky censoring was that they took out his private part sack in the US version. They snipped him! Haha. I think Pikmin 1+2 aren't on Wii u now but 3 is. 3 on switch has all the dlc though which you can't get on Wii u legally. I also need to play the Ryza games.
@@90shandheldgamer Yeah I bought Pikmin 3 cheap then bought the DLC when I could. His sack?! Jeez this censorship is so absurd. It is going back to 80/90's stupidity with this censorship and I aint playing along.
I'm pretty sure there are a good amount of those too. I think the switch will go down as one of the most collectable systems of all time. There's just so many games on it.
I should have waited for that Odd world collection instead of buying them separately it would have been cheaper oh well. Did that collection came after they released these games?...Later
Honestly I'm not sure but, I would assume so as the collection would have hurt the sales of buying them separately I believe. On the bright side they might still hold their value as individual games because I don't see copies of them anymore in stores at least.
@90shandheldgamer I guess you're right, although I'm not planning on selling them, so it won't matter if their value does go up but the developer is releasing other games so this should be a leaning experience as they seem to lease their trilogies in one package often
@@alpha-boss I don't plan on selling any of my games either unless I end up not liking them I might trade them in later so I like when they hold their value or go up in value.

I have the Gamecube versions of Pikmin 1 and 2. Those are expensive. I'm glad I got them earlier on.
I wish I picked up Mario 3d all stars before the prices started to go up lol
You still might be able to grab a pre owned copy from GameStop for not too expensive. I think between $55 to $ 65.
I bought 5 copies. Never thought it would go up. Crazy.
