5 years has really put this into overdrive and of course I'm a big fan of Neo being here because that game is absolutely amazing and the DQ builder games are just so much fun as a sandbox
super mario party has been sold over 10 million times and is still available in mass in germany
Katamari Damacy Reroll was originally a GameStop exclusive for switch & got reprinted and sold elsewhere. I remember picking it up the day I got Smash Bros and didn't open it and seeing it resell on eBay for 80+ till the reprint. 😅
Oh yeah also Bayonetta 1 variants are rare I believe.

Never noticed how Cadence of Hyrule doesn’t appear on shelves anymore till you mention it . When I first saw it in store I immediately bought it since I enjoyed Crypt of the NecroDancer and looked to be just more of that.
One game I’d like to mention is Alliance Alive HD Remastered. It was a port of a 3DS game and I recall buying it a few years back but trading it in as I already had the 3DS version. Absolutely regret it now though since I cannot find it anywhere
Great video! I also would recommend checking out the Pokémon Sword/Shield + Expansion Pass physical copies. They have the DLC and updates on the cart and I feel like they disappeared like a month after they were put on shelves

i think a few of these have sold so many copies theyre unlikely to become difficult to get on the secondhand market. and with the way switch games are built, secondhand isnt as risky as other consoles.

I have three of the games you’ve mentioned! 😯 I’m actually glad I’ve picked them up as soon as I saw them on the shelves. The three games I have is Neo: TWEWY, Warioware Get It Together, and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon DX. I love Pokémon Mystery Dungeon I remember being so excited when it came out! Now these games are sitting on my shelf with the rest of my collection

I highly recommend Astral Chain and Y's VIII, IX, and OriginI feel they're starting to get obscured as well you can still buy them but I feel they're not talked about as much
I've never played Hyrule Warriors, but I think its time I get pick up a copy for my switch and check it out. Physical Games FTW!

Yes! Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and Pokken I feel like no one knew those came out! I swear I was the only person i knew who purchased them and now I don't see them around. This was a great video with lots of fun titles!

I think basically all falcom games on switch will be expensive. Especially the trails games.
Glad I bought Hyrule warriors switch version back in 2021 when nobody wanted to buy it after several months on the shelves. Lucky me for being wise despite paid $50.
It was a good choice despite the game being the exact same as on the WiiU and 3DS...
At least it had all DLCs in the base game but I didn’t know the game was discontinued when AoC came out
Weird to see so many titles that were popular at first start to fall into the rare category. I’m already so behind on new games that I need to pick them up right away!

There's definitely going to be regional specific (import related) price circumstances.
I know in Eu/Au they didn't import physical copies of Mega Man Zero/Zx collection. So where as that might be a bargain in the states not so much over here.

I can find multiple copies of every game you mentioned on eBay UK which isn't even that big a marketplace compared to eBay US.

It wasn't so much my rare mention but a game I wanted to talk about because I think it's a cool game haha
I feel like 13 sentinels:aegis rim will see a small price hike in the future... i don't know anyone personally who even knew about it coming out and even fewer who actually bought it... anything vanillaware usually holds its value pretty well...

I bought that game day one vanillaware is such an underrated company I've been a huge fan of it since Odin sphere back in the PS2 era
I got the Plat for it on ps4. Nobody knows about the game. Such a shame
Something to keep in mind is some of these modern games can get reprints at any time. If demand and price goes up I can see them making more copies down the road.
I noticed that both games Spirit Hunter Death Mark and Spirit Hunter: NG physical game copies are becoming rare and are going up in price.
The sequel is coming out in February 2023 called Spirit Hunter Death Mark II all three games are available on Steam for $50 each but obviously they are way cheaper on the Switch.
Also the WiiU port of The Wonderful 101 Remastered is quickly selling out as there are hardly no english carts left.
Man you need to add Pikmin 3 lol As soon as Pikmin 4 dropped, Pikmin 3 was SNATCHED OFF THE SHELVES

Bayonetta 1 Pegi 18 is incredibly rare! 1 just sold for £150 ($190) on Ebay. Defo would watch out for it
I hate being late to the switch because I’m behind on so many games and now I’m so behind and there are so many games I really want.
That's where game collecting and just buying physical games in general is so tough. Like even something like the Wii U that wasn't even that long ago has many games with the same price as moderately expensive GameCube games

I already got Live a Live, Hyrule Warriors definited edition, Super Mario Party Dragon Quest Builders 2, Katamari Damacy Reroll. game builder garage, Pokemon mystery dungeon rescue team dx and Metroid prime remastered.
I started collecting physical copies of metrodvania games, Celeste is my latest but i got the regular copy 😢

What's the point to buy Switch games now if Switch-2 is coming this year?
Yeah… I am behind AI Somnium Files since I played Danganronpa on the Switch, but the prices are ridiculous at this point.
The only true rare games on switch are the ones that are only available for switch have no variants or collectors editions and no download versions. Of which there is not many. So it's good to know the difference between what is truly rare and what is expensive because of the amount of printed copies.
None of the games on this list qualify.

My target has a ton of Wario Ware get it together a they are dirt cheap on EBay.
Well if these games become rare, then I know some games that could cost 1000$.
Getting a lot of these for high MSRP s is probably not the smartest thing. If you have collected games from other recent system (say the Wii/Wii U), you will notice casuals people absolutely unload these things towards the end of the cycle if not a few years in to the new system. Thats where these will pop up locally as parents put up adds for their kids entire collection or people sell their collections to buy the new system. Lots of switch games will be coming on the market as people try to save up to buy the new switch system next year. Many of these would have sold enough to catch them for $20-30 at that time.
This video is definitely not telling people to buy it for high price. The point of the video is to spread awareness of these games that are not as popular or are becoming more rare so that they have a chance to grab them before they're completely gone from store shelves or also push to look into getting them on sale or from third party places like market places and other vendors. I appreciate your recommendation of people selling games near the end of the switches life! I often find some of my games second hand for a good price!

You know if there's games that really goes under people's radar , it has to be some of the limited run games. Especially river city girls.
I try not to mention limited run games just because by the time they are in peoples hands you only have the choice of paying eBay prices
Some are sold at Best Buy as standard editions.

Wario Ware Get it Together probably won't rise in value. It's way worse than other Wario Ware titles.
I don;t think LiveALive will be worth anything.

Just because you don't see them on store shelves, doesnt necessarily mean they are rare games. I wouldn't consider any of the games you have mentioned to be rare.
They are rare when the prices went up. Copies were stopped being printed out from factories if you learned from economics.

Nahhh, fits in comfortably with the rest of the genre’s offerings. The soundtrack is excellent too, which is something AC routinely drops the ball on.
