Master Class all the way. No flash just real singing, playing, and off-the-chain talent. Listen to this! Live! Michael McDonald? A big bonus to everything that is so over the top great. No lip sync will be found here. No studio tracks or fake guitars and bass playing. Just a bunch of guys having fun enjoying their music right along with the audience. 50 years!!! WHAT! Thank you God real talent. The coolest thing is their 50 years took place during my entire life. I consider myself a blessed man for many reasons and one of them is right here.
@@thompsonbrowne5523 I don't know, their vocals are slightly enough out of tune to make me think the vocals are all live. They've got plenty of percussion on stage, and certainly enough guitars to cover all the parts without anything pre-recorded. Maybe pre-recorded keys at some point, but I don't recall hearing that.
Can’t stand Michael McDonald….sissyfied the real Doobie Brothers. Just my opinion. Good at what he does but not a good fit for the hard rocking’ Doobies!!
Thank you, Doobie Brothers, for letting me put this video for you out there ! You get all the credit, and we get your music ! That's the way it should be ! That tells us you care for your fans ! Thanks again ! From Billy.
I went to this concert and I could not find a parking place! I am still disappointed. But at least our money went to HAAM (non-profit to help musicians out with medical issues) Thank you for sharing your video! 👍🏻
I have two friends who want to see them in June 2024, but our seats are gonna be so far away. We’re not gonna be able to see them anyway so this seems to be where I can see them closer than I will be paying hundreds and hundreds of dollars, so what do you think. I have bad vision anyway so I wanted to be closer so for me to be kind of blind and only to hear them. I just don’t think it was gonna be worth it. I’m watching this and this is the best I think I can get.
It still bugs me that he's joined other reunion concerts and benefits but not the 50th Anniversary? Just imagine Jeff sitting next to Tom in between John or next to Michael just shredding away🔥 would be phenomenal.
63 here, 64 this coming July and still play full court basketball, have all of my hair & teeth and my Live Aid London shirts all still fit. Fight it every step of the way! I stand, why get close if you're just going to sit.

I don’t think they are playing all the sounds to hear live

All the guys are still in good voice and the ensemble is tight!
Not quite
Great to see Tom Johnston and Michael McDonald on the same stage. The best of the Doobie Brothers. 🤙🏼
Can’t stand Michael McDonald….sissyfied the real Doobie Brothers. Just my opinion. Good at what he does but not a good fit for the hard rocking’ Doobies!!
Black Water was my Navy Boot Camp Song and I love your music. So happy to see you all in 2024.
I’m seeing them in Atlanta, July 2024. I can’t wait!
It could be the last time they ever play in Austin again ! This is history in the making for music fans ! 😊
Why would it be the last time?

I can't wait to see these guys play live in June at the Dallas show can't wait
I will be at the show in Dallas! Can't wait! It will be my first time to see them!
Yeah I have tickets to that one too. The wife and I hit at least one outdoor concert every summer. Last year it was the Steve Miller Band.
I went to this concert and I could not find a parking place! I am still disappointed. But at least our money went to HAAM (non-profit to help musicians out with medical issues) Thank you for sharing your video! 👍🏻

I say go anyway ! 😊 and use your phone like Benoculars, lol 😊
Welcome back Tom!
Tom sounds fantastic
Tom Johnston is back!!
He’s been back for a loooong time.
@@kdrbeav Saw the Doobies in Duluth in summer of 2023, and Johnston wasn't there. He was having back surgery
I filmed this in Austin, Texas at the Austin Moody Center.
Doobies and eagles in one show. Manchester uk. In june. Can't wait.
Going to see them in Raleigh on 7/31!

@@MA-pe9cl I believe he's sick.
@@joshuabiddix2923 more the reason to get together. I hope it's not serious
I've never seen an arena concert where there are tables set up on the floor... weird. Old people????
No mosh pit required.
Echo chamber... ugh.
crowd is mostly sitting why
being in the age demographic it's what happens down the line no matter what you think
Not only is "FatherTime" undefeated, he's crippled.
Bunions.

Nothing has changed, that sax player wants to play over everybody. It’s not about you
Marc Russo is a great jazz musician in his own right who was the original saxophonist with the Yellowjackets.
Will not argue talent. my point is he is not the star of the show. that he seems to think he is@@rickschilling7390
