So here is the question. I just put a 50mm cylinder/skirt/sleeve into my crank case, and it looked like i had a lot of extra headroom in the case if i wanted to put a larger cylinder in there. Is the limit of the bore kit you can put on these determined and capped off by what cinder skirt i can fit in there or would the cylinder skirt/sleeve being completely flush and tight with the crank case jack something up? It's a qmb block and it was stock 50cc if i can throw and fit a 150cc crank shaft and increase stroke distance exc and do some heavy modding and put a bigger larger cylinder in there that be sick. I just don't want to do any boring to the crank case at all.
Hey Dan I had a question maybe you could help me im trying to get replacement parts for a 2017 kymco mongoose 90s all I seem to find are 125cc big bore kits do you maybe know which gy6 parts will fit my particular engine or if generic gy6 parts will fit at all or if I need to try to order just from kymco I’ve also heard Kawasaki kf90 parts fit and possibly Polaris outlaw 90 but I haven’t been able to confirm anything my engine has a top end noise or possibly the crank and I really want to rebuild it for my sons birthday thanks.
I have a question. I want to use the original taida case i have. But i want to put a 14 inch rear wheel how the 161qmk comes with. Can I switch over any parts to make that happen?
Hey Daniel Too bad that guy left you holding the bag and screwed it up for the next person, some people are like that everywhere they go. Next time get the money first, most serious people won't mind . I appreciate all your info and help. Thanks
How do I find out what Big bore block I have I have IceBear mad dog all taida motor.... The Piston is a 67 mm piston 57 fit spacing with a t300 cam shaft....was told it was a 232cc the head said fit57 63mm with chain 92...does this make it a 232cc?
Wats up enjoy your videos really great stuff.i have a? Have you ever messed around with a ttrmc+14 107 rod crank with a 4v if so could you give me some tips on it.the only thing I see so far is milling the piston and chain length just asking thank you
Can you please explain for us everything about the so called, 1P61QMK-B2 engine as there is no information about this engine to be found anywhere? I really need all the specs and info on this engine I can get as I messed up and bought one thinking it can be bored out bigger and have the head wrapped with a copper tubing with tiny radiator and 12 volt water pumped cooling system?
Hi Daniel...excellent video as usual..first thing..thanks so much for explaining the magneto output to me...I learnt something there👍...now my question is this ..can I put a big bore kit in my fuel injected GY6 (yamaha cygnus twin port)...many thanks😊
+versatec1 Hi Vers! Thank you very much. Unfortunately, I do not know your specific model of scooter. So I can not say for sure. What I can share with you is that modifying scooter cylinder that has fuel injection is very hard to do. When you go with bigger piston, you also have to upgrade the amount of AIR and Gas the scooter uses and have to modify exhaust for new flow rates. Getting fuel injection to add more fuel is difficult to do and requires expensive modifications to the ECU (computer that controls fuel flow rates)... You would need new fuel Maps, possibly a bigger injector, the list goes on and on. Sorry I could not give you exact answer.
If I have a 50cc gy6. I don't know yet weather it's a long or short case yet. Haven't went out and looked yet. But would the 150cc engine swap right into. I heard the motor mounts are different. that's no big deal I can weld new ones. But everything else will be direct fit correct?
Im up tuning my 125 cc Gy6 cylinder to 180cc (63mm) What are the intake and outtake diameters I need to drill my 125cc cylinder head to? Also what size main jet you recommend for the default carburator of 125cc?
Great tutorial video I have a gy6 150cc long case 157QMJ I'm installing a 180cc big bore kit for a 157QMJ 150cc but the cylinder skirt doesn't want to ease in easily the cylinder skirt definitely not going in easily what is the correct cylinder housing to make it fit? The kit I currently have now installing is a 63mm not fitting by that I mean the cylinder skirt is difficult to slide on but everything else fits perfectly mint?
I have a 180cc from a China quad the numbers stamped are as follows....AT80-003420 can you tell me what engine it is I'd like to add some performance parts but I have no idea what type engine it is please help if you can Thanks for your time
hi there i was wondering i'm looking to buy parts to start building 232cc Taida Engine with all the high performance 8200 stroker , liquid cooled , 4 valve , and all the rest of the parts i need to build me a custom monster gy6 Ruckus. can you help
i currently have a cheetah baotian gy6-a 50cc and its upgraded to 47mm piston, I also have a gy6125cc motor with a 12 intch wheel.The answer is:can i swap them?
I'm having an issue with my build.everything went well untill I installed the cam.the cam is way to far the left and it hits the valve cover and rubs the rocker arm assembly.the cam was from another 150cc gy6 qmj but looks to short.have you seen this before.
I have a GY6 171 CC liquid cool engine it comes stop Stone Age Sims moped motorcycle could you tell me what kind of block it is cuz I was like to build me one but I want to start with the best that way I mess up not the block
I have a 150 gy6 b case it has the bigger stud spacing and curved fins on the jug ..I can not find a big bore or even a stock replacement head anywhere ???can u get me a big bore for my motor ??
Excuse me your correct I meant qmj but no i pulled the motor out of a touring 150cc scooter its a gy6 style not qmb, but the style of the qmj its a factory 150cc 4 valve oil cooled motor of the qmj style just 4 valve I have kept it only cus its a 4 valve and I have never come across another to this day.
Hello sir.. wanna ask you about Suzuki AN150 (157QMJ) engine.. what type of the case?? Is it short case B or what?? Can i upgrade or modify using any gy6 performance part?? I want to make it go faster.. 🤣🤣
Hello great video i dont mean to be a bother yes i do lol im looking for a short case left side crankcase for a Hammerhead 200 w/internal reverse would you know where i could find one the number on the block is 157qmj thank you
I've got a question about the 4 valve motors. I have one its a qmb 4 valve oil cooled 150cc like the one in the video just stock. is that in fact the same motor or what can you tell me what I have if its anything at all.
A QMB is not a 150cc and I have not seen a 4 valve kit for a QMB (Not saying there isn't, I just haven't seen one). The "QMB" is actually a 139QMB or 1P39QMB... Hey Daniel, Thanks for the great video. I’m hoping you can help me with some info. I have a customer with a 161QML ... he needs a variator but we discovered the crank is bigger than the standard GY6. The 161 crank is 17mm vs 15mm for the standard GY6. I have found zero info about this and cannot find a variator. Anything you can tell me about this would be appreciated and if you can point me to a supplier for the variator I’d be ecstatic... Thanks, Josh
how much for your top dog engine there the 232cc all taida? I'm pretty sure you wont sell the 232cc and I need a short case btw, how much for the one that guy from new york didn't want?
+raddddix Thank you for the kind words! Glad ya liked the video. Visit shop.martinmopeds.com ... Were are in the process of uploading our inventory to the net.
On an engine like yours, you can go up to 61mm if you select Taida or NCY. I have in stock the Taida 61mm no bore if you're interested. I also have 58.5mm BBK's in stock (Glixal and Taida)
Hi Martin, is this the one that you recommend to my 125cc gy6, 61mm no bore shop.martinmopeds.com/X06-Taida-GY6-Cylinder-61mm-Big-Bore-Kit-Case-mod-not-required-GY6-01061-w.htm if so I need your response. Tnx
i believe the ncy 61mm bbk will fit the gy6 a case with no problem. others like the naraku and taida, those are hit and miss, but it all depends on your case. some gy6 a cases are odd balls from what i read. some could have the 63mm opening, some could have 63.3mm or even 64mm. the only way to find out is to disassemble the top of your engine and measure the cylinder skirt and case opening.
If anyone out there has a performance case that the transmission side is ruined I would be interested in that engine. I want to build one of these or find one that's built and the transmission side is damaged I'm going to cut it off anyway.
David DeBergh yes. 50cc is max amount without a license and registration. if you go over 50cc it needs to be registered with insurance and you need a license. I know it sucks.
Just to add to this, and make a correction you do not have to hold insurance on any motorcycle in Florida no matter the cylinder size as long as you wear a helmet. I would still carry liability though because you never know what could happen.
good video but if someone is advertising a engine as a 200cc but it's a 169 then that's false advertising i have a taida 170cc big bore kit i know i will be at 163.4cc so you might not want to say it's not false advertising when it is other then that good videos
+ThEoThErGuYz757 Ultimately, If someone is selling a 161cc as a 200cc, then sure, I suppose it is. What I was talking about is intention. These 200cc engines are marketed by the manufacturer that way, they're even sold on mopeds as 200cc's, but they're not. So, when they hit the US market and sellers are provided the false info, I don't think the end seller is misleading people on purpose, as they were also mislead... It does become intentional when a seller is made aware of the fact and they don't change the ad or add a disclaimer... I do not sell these "200cc" engines, I was only pointing out the info errors.
+Daniel Martin i hear what your saying but as someone who would sell an item like that wouldnt you do your own research to make sure everything is what it is suppose go be before advertising something? as for scrappydawg or whatever they know they arent that cc but still sale then as that which is false advertising not saying you per say just stating facts...just cuz something says it does this or that doesnt mean it doesnt that thats when research should be conducted to make sure accurate information is given out
Hi Daniel I love what your doing !! Very few people knows what is going on here with these motors , I am doing all kinds of mods on a motor like it , lifan 140cc and the YX motor , case welding and make a 76mm piston work ! People will find an old camero or trans-am and drop 20-30,000 into it...for that kind of money, they could buy a brand new one...some would say it doesnt make fiscal sense.... it's more about the love of the project... people get these Chinese scooters and fall in love with it, but they dont fall in love with the performance... that's why they upgrade... they know they could just buy something fast, but they love their scooters and want it to go fast....
Sorry that’s false. Most people buy there scoot because they are cheap and can’t afford a larger bike. They put the standard performance upgrades because they are cheap. Very few people and I mean very few people will drop three grand on an engine for their scooters what’s the point of building and boring 150 cc engine, when for the same amount of money in relatively the same mounting dimensions for 350 or 450 mL engine from a different scooter and have way better performance in better reliability I’ve board many blacks and I’m sorry as thin as you’re making the walls on those oil passages that is a recipe for disaster. Example I have 150 mL GY6 buggy from yerfdog. I did the whole pouring beers and got it up to 180 ccs. Just last year I bit the bullet and bought a wrecked 250cc gy6. And that 250cc GY6 blew the doors off of the 180 and I had significantly better reliability and performance.
You're quite the whistler my brotha! Loved your video. Won't be joining your forum because a page forces you to add junk apps to join. No thank-you
Specialty orders means no refunds!! Weed out the time & money wasters!! Good video

Converting to a 180cc uaually means youre using a 63mm piston, you must bore the case block....61mm is biggest you can go without case mods.
@@dmartin925 okay thx Daniel I really learned something today!
