This car definitely saw trailer park nights and cracktivities took place. But I think the vacuum leak is the reason for all those dealer cards (they were trying to get rid of it). Lucky for them insurance asked no questions lol

Great video. I have a tan 2004 SRX that I bought from E-bay in 2006. It has a V6 and AWD and the panoramic roof. It has almost 90k on it and drives great.
I bought a 2006 in the same color with 190k miles at auction. She burned about a quart every 200 miles, but damn it I wasnt going to give up. After lots of oil changes and a full engine flush (liquid moli) got it up to a quart every 1000 (normal for a high milage 3.6). I beat on the thing like a redheaded step child. Jumped it offroad (small, not enough to damage anything), drifted around dirt tracks, and even freaking autocrossed it. You can probably imagine the look on peoples faces when I brought an srx to autocross. Was not afraid of that 7k redline. Let me tell you, these trucks are strong as hell. Fantastic on the highway with a strong, sturdy unibody thats great offroad. Sold it with 203k. Im sure its still driving around somewhere. Only thing is, these engines all become burners eventually. Keep fluids in there and those 3.6s will never die despite what others say.
That vacuum leak is 99% likely a PCV hose that exits the center/rear of the intake manifold and bends around to the passenger side. That pipe is a brittle plastic. You can fix with a vacuum hose.
Here in the UK owners do that to RR sports. Spend all their cash on the repayments and can't afford to run it. In two years time it's sitting on Chinese 'ditchfinder' tyres, every lights on the dash, suspension knocking and inside looks like a zoo cage!

I’ve always loved the first Gen SRXs. You definitely have the right model with the Northstar. The V6s weren’t too reliable. I never cared for the second Gen SRXs. Great Score, Al.
I have always liked the SRX, with the exception of the door sills. The seat sits “in” too far and I found I was constantly rubbing the back of my pants on the dirty rocker, because the seat was so far inboard. Little known fact, the SAAB 9-7x was originally built in a SRX platform but it was too good, and caddy killed it.
As a black ice air freshener user I’m offended lmao I baby my car and maintain it and keep it spotless to the Tee. The car has a quarter million miles and has no single issue or fault light in the dash
Wind damage...insurance adjusters all need retrained; unbelievable. Needs pro detail inside,out and change that cabin air filter! Make it a Baby Escalade? Nice car; you got another bargain.

A lot of people hate these. All they ever were from the get go, were rebadged Equinox/Terrain. Surprised the tranny is still good on it. I wouldn't say no to these. I like them. Thanks for the video, Al. Also check out the Ford Taurus X, too.
I dont know what, but it feels very Opel-like... The dash and the steering wheel... Even the door trim somewhat reminds me of Opel... I drove some Opels in the past (Insignia, Astra) and this thing has a certain Opel vibe to it...

It wish there were still cars that cheap for sale in Switzerland: The time of below 1500$ cars that are running and can be registered is over. Car prices exploded so much over the last two years that my daughter who had ot dump her last car decided not to buy any car as she does not want any loan on a beater. Even my high milage old Beamer ist getting worn out after 24 years and I may have to part with it. I wish I had this Caddie in front of my door. Maybe in summer I will start driving my 1963 Belair as a daily!
I wonder how people can let their car get to a state like this. Leaving thrash all over the car would bother me so much. When my dad bought a 2017 Audi S8 it also had thrash all over it but it was actually dealer maintained so he got a good deal. Now our family doesn’t clean our cars often but we never leave junk in them.

Huh? The tires on these are staggered (bigger in rear than front) maybe that’s what you’re noticing. Definitely no suspension or alignment issues on her.

That Cadillac SRX was not wind damage it was a F~0 Tornado damage and they left the big sunroof open and the back driver window open and the F~0 tornado went through all that of that crap in the Cadillac and all the crap was inside was thrown everything to the very back of the Cadillac...🤣

I have a 2010 I just got in excellent shape. Love the feel and the panoramic sun roof.
I would say that they went with a Impala over the Altima, to keep it American. Same energy though.

Car was misfiring bad so they said that due to the storm car haven’t ran right. They did a claim right before you couldn’t
They kept using the car all the way up to the day insurance sent a truck for it. That is a great buy! I can't find deals like that. Lol.

That’s not correct. First gen SRX is the “Sigma” platform. Same as a Cadillac CTS/STS. Not shared with any other GM vehicle.
