I don't know why, but I would love for the redevelopment plan part of it to be of a timeline, where Team Flare's plan actually succeeded with their plan, and they managed to make a more beautiful world. The redevelopment would be a way of covering up the past of the real Kalos. It would then be our job to find out the actual history of the Kalos region. This could also be a good way to bring out the lore of Kalos.
A new pokemon hype cycle, a return to viewing one of my favorite analysts! I know the games are likely more than a year out, but I’m already biting for more info about the new Pokemon Legends! I wish this teaser weren’t so void of information! Everything except returning pokemon feels like speculation. On the note of speculation, though- you mention here how you think this game will take place in the future with the hologram aesthetic of the teaser. I’m still not sure how I feel about that, personally- a legends game in the future would be really cool, but I do also wanna see some 1880’s Paris Reconstruction! It’d be neat if they took elements of the modern, ongoing, and lighter Paris reconstruction (the eco-friendly one) and blended it with the classic one where the Eiffel Tower was built. I have 2 main hopes for the story route of this game, but I feel like they may be quite opposed to each other… 1) Lumiose City through the Ages: With the existence of AZ in Kalos, I feel like a time travel setting would be really cool, where you could go to different points in Lumiose City’s growth. What I have in mind here specifically are The Initial Founding, where there will be more wilderness, and Lumiose is nothing more than a Fishing Village- maybe around the time of the Great War, even; The Classical Age, with some nice 1800’s French Architecture (and around a similar time-frame in the Pokemon Chronology as PLA, so those pokeballs could come back); and the modern/future one, where you get the modern pokeballs, the Lumiose Fashion Scene, and presumably the 5 plazas have been expanded to cultivated ecosystems with wild Pokemon. Zygarde could be causing issues in all these times because of the city’s rapid expansions, and you’d get to see AZ more throughout his very, very long life. If there were more time periods, it could be interesting to see him come to terms with his immortality and the atrocities he committed. 2) Lumiose Noir: Hello? XY postgame called, they want their premise back! This is a bit of a pie-in-the-sky type of thing, but I feel like it’s a perfect idea to make detective-work the main thing of a pokemon game set exclusively in a city. I don’t have much to say, because I think it’s pretty self-explanatory beyond this. I hope the expanded scale of Lumiose means more Paris Landmarks, too- Notre Dame, the Louvre, and the Catacombs would be *sick* in Lumiose City. *Especially* the catacombs, that’s perfect place to stuff all the ground and ghost pokemon in the somewhat more mature legends games (at least, I hope Legends stays somewhat more mature) And lastly, as always: hoping for young adult or customizable age protagonists.
SpaceNerd! I missed you, bud! Wow amazing comment! LUMIOSE NOIR IS RIGHT! Honestly I really hope they take advantage of all the buildings and npc's and really make the city a living, breathing world to explore. We better get lots of side quests, lots of indoor spots to access, and lots of adventure and plot! With the confines of the city I hope it means they're really gonna flesh out everything inside the way we'd expect a modern game to. The catacombs would ESPECIALLY be awesome! And could eventually lead us to Zygard! Like I said in the video I do believe we'll have an underground area to explore
Here's something that is admittedly speculation. But if the A is a reference to the ultimate weapon, then either we go to Geosenge town or the ultimate weapon is moved to Lumiose city. This is all assuming that we will see the ultimate weapon at all.
That's one of my biggest questions. I mean the Pokemon on the side of the building I talk about in here gives me hope. Especially when paired with that Dragonair scene
I cant wait for them to release more news on the switch 2,, like if they didnt show any gameplay because of this like you said they might show some gameplay in the switch 2 reveal video or sth 😭🤚 Very hyped for this title
You forgot at 10:38 there is a symbol that says "quasar" which is most likely the organization that is handling the redevelopment plan for Lumiose City. Because quasars are very bright objects and Paris is known as the city of light. But I have a theory, what if this quasar is the evil team? Where their goal is not only to redevelop Lumiose City, but something related to the ultimate weapon: 1. If you look at its shape, the quasar has a shape like a galaxy which has a laser beam fired from the center, where TUW (The ultimate weapon) works by shooting a laser beam. 2. Quasars work by being powered by black holes, where black holes will suck up material around them and convert it into energy and light for the quasar. Which is similar to TUW which sucks Pokemon energy and converts it into energy to activate TUW 3. The design of the A in the PLZA title is similar to the shape of TUW TLDR: The quasar team has a goal related to The Ultimate Weapon

Hmm… I think maybe we’ll start in the present/future, then something (most likely Zygarde) will launch us back in time. My guess, if that’s how it goes, is that we’ll work towards a goal that’s noble, something will have been missed, and it’ll wake Zygarde up in a huge rage to come and kill us. When we get blasted we wake up at the base of the still under construction Lumiose tower, and our new mission is to figure out exactly what went wrong and try to prevent it. Perhaps we’d even be coordinating with the people of our original time, like… planting a row of trees then saying “is Zygarde still pissed off?”. Could also explain why we’d be limited to Lumiose City without needing to resort to some cataclysmic event having damaged the rest of Kalos: what better excuse to lock us into a city than “if you leave then everyone in the region is gonna have to deal with a VERY angry Squishy”.
By the way, the Japanese website for Legends Z-A defined the reading for Z-A as ゼットエー; Zed A so without the "to" as you were eluding to in the video. Of course, Zee A works too since the Japanese use the British-English Zed (Zetto) instead the American Zee
If done right, PLZA will dethrone the shit out of both PLA and ScVi! Also I don’t think RUclips worked with me on this but I may have discovered that in PLZA you aren’t 100% stuck in Lumiose City based on what Pokémon Japan Twitter account said about it and using the ever reliable Google Translate I translated it into this. In 2025, a new challenge in the Pokemon series, Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A, will be released on Nintendo Switch! A new adventure begins in Miare City, which is undergoing urban redevelopment with the aim of creating a city where humans and Pokemon coexist. Apparently Miare is what Lumiose is called in Japanese! Either way I’m optimistic for PLZA!!!! 💚 Edit: I checked your other video on PLZA and sure shit it didn’t saved my comment. 😡
Awww Katelyn I'm not so sure that wording hints at leaving the city 😅 I WILL say though that I DO think there's a possibility we leave the city at least once but more in a way like how you got banished from Jubilife in Legends Arceus and had to go to Cogita's reserve. Rewarching these videos for hype but I wanted to mention something. While the npc’s here look the most realistic to date in comparison to the cartoony look of most gens, Gen 6 was the only Gen with realistic npcs during cutscenes and in battles.
The timeline matters not to me for now, but players will leave a mark in history for this Legends game one way or another, and Zygarde might go in a fit of rage when the balance of life is heavily disrupted in any point of Kalos’s timeline.
The Lumiose Tower needs to be talked about more. It’s the biggest central figure of the city and on the map it shows. There’s going to be a lot to do with the tower I would guess. Way more than just a gym from X and Y.
I think there is some possibility that this is actual gameplay footages or rather in-game building and models used for this fancy wiremesh style they did here. Anyway I think PLZA is definitely a switch 2 title because legends is thier experimental title they have very less care for its sales as evident by announcing the next game a month after, so they are willing to risk it so legends is a good way to realese a game on console with obviously less fan base than what switch has now. With this they get enough time for people to get comfortable with the new console and they can have the grand sales for the gen 10.
