As I was watching this I was shiny hunting for Litten, and at about 18 minutes into my hunt I found the little lad. Litten was my first ever Pokemon in a game, so getting him in shiny form really meant a lot! Thank you for your vids, they really encourage me to keep on hunting even if the going might be slow❤❤❤
This video was a lot of fun! Something I've been doing is finding pokemon that have "thematic" marks. That give them a title that is in line with their design. It took a lot of effort, but I finally got a An alolan vulpix who is a snow frollicker. It took a lot of doing, but since you are in scarlet, that's one you could do. Though I wish your eyes luck. Since I'm sure you're aware it's white and off-white on a white background. There's the new method for the Minior, which is actually great for pokemon like vulpix too! Another one that's hard to get but kinda neat is the "Misty" weather mark. Which is only attainable when you are near the boundry for the edge of the map in kitikami. I've hunted a little while for a misty marked mienfu, but no luck. Though I did get an Eevee back when Eevee outbreaks were a thing! She's my pride and joy right now! Since at the time of writing, you cannot catch an eevee in Kitakami to get this mark, as far as I am aware.

Fennekin and it's evolutions are definitely my favorite line of shiny starters and I think a lot more starters should get darker/black shinies as from what I've noticed most shiny starters just change to a slightly lighter color

I swear when the game gives you the charm that makes crit catches happen more often it flips some kinda switch that says "ONLY crit catches capture". I have not had a single pokemon catch if it isnt a crit catch and its only ever the first ball or like 10 balls down the road.

Now I know why there's still tutorials saying to lower a pokemon's hp in order to catch it at the beginning of the game. People would rather brute force it than false swipe it apparently.

This has been a glitch since before the DLC. If the Pokemon is in your dex, future ones you catch will only ever catch with a crit catch animation.
