Thank you for your advice. Just cancelled and rebooked as we realised the same room was cheaper. We saved $300 and got a package for $200 spending money. 👌🏻
Fees galore! That's what I always remember when I visit Hawai'i 😆 Hope I can visit the Islands soon; it's been awhile! Love your channel and adorable kiddos 🌺❤️
We made the biggest mistake of going to Kauai and absolutely falling in love with it. We only went to that island going forward 😂 but we must break free of the awe-inspiring experience of Na Pali. We’re headed to Maui and the Big Island for our honeymoon in Sept/Oct. looking forward to using the itineraries!
The first mistake is staying at a Resort. Outrageous fees for nothing and you have to walk a mile or more to get to your room. Staying at a Vacation rental thru a VRBO organization is key. A place like Maui Banyan, where you can walk to the beaches, restaurants, and bars within close proximity (a block or 2). Not to mention condos also have kitchens.
Hilton Hawaiian Village is go to, more than worth the expense for 22 acres of resort property, 5 towers, widest stretch of beach in Waikiki, and the lagoon
Hi, We are watching as many old and new videos as possible, as we did make some mistakes with our trip to Oahu and are planning to go to Maui next time, we loved our Island hopping days to Kauai and The Big Island. Clare and my mother, Susan from the UK.
I have been to Hawaii more than 20 times. I have watch most of your videos I think. You guys are awesome, the Ali'i of Hawaiian Guides. Other people should just give up offering Hawaii guides. Haha
🤩 that is the nicest comment we’ve gotten. We’re always learning so thanks so much as that means a lot coming from an experienced Hawaii traveler. Mahalo nui loa!
We noticed prices on everything on Maui and the Big Island are up at least 25% Groceries, Restaurants, gas car rentals since Covid ! That was our 35th stay since 2004 so I know what prices have been in the past! Also They are charging for Parking at State beaches on The Big Island! Luckily we Own a Condo on the Big Island and have Timeshares we love on Maui so accommodations are always as expected we have no resort fees or parking fees.
@the hawaii vacation guide 4:42 whats the beach /island with that Sea turtle hanging out? Also I am staying 10 days/9 nights do you have a list of landmarks in Oahu to watch the sun rise and sunsets?
We drove. We always get a rental car as we go out everyday and it’s easier and faster for us. Some tour companies include Kualoa Ranch so that’s one way.
I’m going to stay in Maui later this month. Plan on staying at the Wailea beach resort. Would really like to get around that parking fee. Are there any parking meters?(id walk pretty far to avoid those fees lmao)
That’s a tough one in wailea. You might find parking at the shopping centers. But the whole are is resorts so they know how to get you. Ask for them to waive the fee, they might be nice
@the Hawaii Vacation guide hi I am looking at the Oahu cheat sheet. I am going in from July 30 to Aug 8th. Is this week the cheaper/hotter/wetter month in August?
Hi, I was wondering if I could email you guys. Im trying to go to Oahu solo, i have decided on Oahu as it seems to be the easiest to travel without a car. which is where the uniqueness of my case comes into place, I’d be interested in paying for a personalized itinerary in which I’d be able to smoothly go around the island and see great things
We have a free itinerary for Oahu without a car. You can grab our for purchase itinerary for Oahu to see more details and have more days to explore. thehawaiivacationguide.com/oahu-hawaii-itinerary-seven-days-no-car/

Haha, Kauai is a favorite for many! Thanks for grabbing our guides! Have a wonderful trip
I did the same back in 2015 lol my first vacation and I havent gone anywhere else since.
great suggestion for staying at lower cost/amenities for heavy excursions days and high end resorts for more relaxing stay

love this topic…so much to consider and not fun to experience FOMO when you’re finally on vacation (like we did recently at Waikiki 😂)
I stayed at the Ilima Hotel in Waikiki & let me tell you I had a really great time 😊 the lei making class is free and there’s no hidden fees
As always, great information. Things a person doesn’t really think about but needs to know. Really helpful, thanks guys
Love your channel i always watch especially if i am heading to Hawaii 🏝️ mahalo 🌺

I am staying 10days/9 nights as single person, how much money should I budget for meals and random stuff? I am doing personal bag and carryone only
Really helpful video.
I will recommend this to everyone who is planning Hawaiian holiday
Wish public bathrooms were more readily available ..especially in Waikiki !
What's the best way to book my vacation and pay in installments. Trip is next year
Great video & lovely family. I fell in love Hawaii and have visited two summers in a row. Would you recommend a February visit?
February is great for peak whale season. Hotels and vacation rentals can be high like summer as winter is popular.
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide Thanks so much! I will take your advice and book early.

Where was that waterfall you jumped off of?
When you all went to Kualoa Ranch did you drive? I know they have a pickup/drop-off option but it’s crazy expensive!
We drove. We always get a rental car as we go out everyday and it’s easier and faster for us. Some tour companies include Kualoa Ranch so that’s one way.
Like19 cảm ơn bạn đã cảnh đẹp quá bạn ơi 👍👍❤️
What waterfall was that that you jumped in and swam?
That was on Maui, the Road to Hana.

I like the vibe of this family. Hope to meet them on the aina soon.
We love The Royal Lahaina Resort on Maui, have you ever stayed there?
Agree totally with you!!
Just love this place, great grounds and facility. Hope you check it out.
Aloha!
It is a great value place to stay. The location and vibe is excellent.
Good to know you can cancel and rebook within 7 days .for the lower price!
Are vacation rentals cheaper than hotel resorts?
It depends but for the most part, yes. They are best for groups or families of 5. You can find well priced condos in Waikiki.
@the Hawaii Vacation guide hi I am looking at the Oahu cheat sheet. I am going in from July 30 to Aug 8th. Is this week the cheaper/hotter/wetter month in August?
August is a warmer and drier than average month and has the summer crowds, but not as busy as July usually
Can someone give me good landmarks for sunsets in Waikiki and rest of Hawaii? I am going there for the sunrise and sunsets.
Some of the resorts I stayed at looked nice in the 1980s but need to be remodeled 🤣

I am going to Oahu Alone and is airbnb good in august?
August prices are high as the summer is busy. See what deals or prices you can find.
