WoW that’s a good Romp. What an interesting time to be alive for music tech. I know I am parroting many others here but I just had this conversation a few hours ago in consideration of how special the band I was in as a kid felt to have certain rack mount gear and a few cool synths at some point. People were still geeking out about the crappy but cool Yamaha Dx7, Emu, Ensoniq, Alesis ruling some local stages in the 90’s but now it’s a telephone ☎️ telephone 📞 I say !!!! 🤣
It's got a nice upright quality and would work well for some musical styles. But, like Pure Piano, it is rather percussive, lacks sustain and has no audible string or dampre resonance, makng it sound flat and unnatural. It's useful for some projects, but RavensCroft is still the best IOS piano, with decent sustain and fairly natural resonance.
That’s interesting because I strongly disagree with that. Pure is not as percussive as the 275. On the 275 even when you play at low dynamics there is too much “front” on the notes. But the real kicker for me is that the connection between what your hands are doing and the sound is just so much better on Pure. Pure responds way better to your touch. Ravenscroft just feels like you’re triggering a sample and the dynamic range isn’t as good. Pure by a mile for me from Ravenscroft.
@@t-bone3306 I don't think that any IOS piano is as good as VSTs like PianoTeq or KeyScape on Mac or Windows. But the basic sound of RavensCroft works much better for me than Pure Piano. My recollection is that the dynamic response of RavensCroft was Ok, but, again, it isn't the best compared outside of IOS. It's possble that the touch response of Pure Piano is superior. But the sound itself is so inadequate that it is a moot point for me.
@@geoffk777 each to their own but I find that truly amazing. The sound of Pure is absolutely terrific (especially the default “Pure” setting) and seems to be almost universally liked (reviews, piano forums, RUclips, App Store reviews…).
@@t-bone3306 I have lots of digital pianos and VSTs, so I can easily compare it to the best on the market. And it doesn't come close. As I said, it totally lacks resonance, lacks sustain and generally sounds unimpressive. It's just not a serious competitor. It might be Ok in a mix, but as a solo instrument, I just can't use it at all.
@@geoffk777 well, as I say, each to their own. Purely talking about IOS, I would take Pure over the 275 every single time. The 275 just feels so disconnected from the touch of your hands. Plus the pedal sound is horrible.
maybe the best ios piano. but as a pianist this is painful to listen to. it's so hard and has zero dynamic range. I mean it's awesome to start with but I wouldn't wanna play this
Niiice! I’m an upright kind of guy ❤️
Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and yours, keep up your awesome musical magic.
Nice one!!!

Wonderful stuff. I do wish I had similar options being an Android guy.
I wish it would has a MPE!…that would be a bomb!..piano explosion!
