If you use your lb or summons at the exact moment a number on the countdown appears it will reset the animation and recast. Stalling or cancelling animation can be huge for this or any other tier Bahamut/difficult boss! Great video!
(Works for dark aura and umbral flare too, specially if you have a low charge lb like Reds or Tifa)
Agree. Using LBs to stall an attack and forcing the boss to redo the animation sometimes can be very useful. In my case I needed those lbs to deplete that bar quick enough during the countdown but you're completely right, making the boss recast it is very useful if you use Tifa/Red with their insanely fast charging LBs.

Thanks for the video, I took your concept for a team and tried Matt as the healer and used tifa matk-debuff/ dps and cloud as the main dps/ Mdef-buff and finally completed ex2. thank you again!
Congrats on getting your clear! Yeah, I always try to point out that it's just the characters I'm using but can use different characters as long as you keep the utilities needed for the battle. I'm very happy to hear it worked out for you and you found my guide helpful. Congrats again!

I watched this guide even though I'll probably won't be attempting this until level 80 or even 85 lmao. Great guide anyhow. Currently I don't think I can meet the HP requirement and also have the dps for this. Looks insane haha I'll focus on ex1 for now and wait for new levels/equipment for this one. I really hope the summons for the rest of the elements follow the pattern of ifrit/shiva/ramuh and not bahamut.
I totally understand. I planned I'll be able to beat EX2 at lvl80-85 too but I've been trying it every once in a while and seeing what I have to adjust. I kinda cleared this battle on accident. I don't think you also need to rush it very hard and definitely can wait those 1-2 months for higher level and try then when we get much more powerful. Also there hasn't been a single instance where we actually needed to use Bahamut anyway. This battle has been intended for whales and big players after all and when it came out even they struggled.
I didn't expect EX battle on a summon given that with 3 launch summons we just needed to clear VH. But now that we got EX I fear it may be the case with all future summons.
I will give it a try once I have my Cloud's fire weapon in OB10, cuz even though I have my Sephiroth with an OB10 Ice weapon, and an OB4 Kuja Blade, I couldn't complete the damage check

How do you add your character like this on the bottom?
There are various programs you can use like PNGtube, veadotube, etc. You'll just need to make a .png graphic and can run in one of those programs.

I think you could add it in post production but I'm personally adding it to OBS and it's in the same scene so it's recording both game+character at the same time.
