It is very possible to do EX2 without Murasame outfit. My friend did EX2 yesterday with ob7 Murasame sword and no outfit. But he has good weapons on his team, put good lightning subweapons and that alone made him make up for not having ob10 Murasame nor outfit. His ob7 Murasame and no outfit did same dmg as my Cloud with Murasame in the guide.
My friend's levels are Lightning Potency lvl7, PATK lvl7, ATK lvl4 and physical ability potency lvl6. I have Lightning potency lvl5, PATK lvl7, ATK lvl3 and phys ab potency lvl4 and Murasame outfit. So, my friend gets +85% lightning potency from his weapons while I have 55% from Murasame and then 35% from Arcanum outfit - so he has essentially same Lightning potency but gets that from one his ob7 Murasame and just one lightning potency subweapon and then extra +25% more from those 2 more phys ab levels because he has Ultimatic and Killer Hornet equipped. So, even without the outfit he hits harder than me because of his subweapons.
I have lighting potency level 5, OB6 Murasame (no outfit) and use Red 13 to cast lightning down x3 and It's still not enough so yeah I think having an OB0 Twinkling Star is holding me back.
Depends on your other characters and their weapons. If your dps is strong enough, you don't really need it since ob1 does 20% debuff and ob6 allows you for another 10%, so it's not that much usually but if you're close it may allow you to push a little bit more.

Yea twink star is born for rhis fight i dont have a single one copy. I can pursahre it but if its not help, i lost copy weapon voucher for nothing.
