Actually I thought the same thing when the first trailer for the new season came out, I said "too much laugh, it's too obvious" but then I watched the first episode it surprised me to find out that He doesn't laugh or act insane all the time, so it doesn't seem forced. And I have the think that he may not be the actual Joker after all, that they're just testing us for something even better than this!
Well, many storylines have a Joker origin. Gotham's storyline chose this one. I stoped cringing when they killed characters that were meant to be alive in the future. But you got to agree. When he laughed the first time in the trailer, it sounded like Heath Ledger and the second laugh was just awesome!
Calling it, they know he's the perfect Joker candidate, so mid-season they'll seem to kill him off. Then Jerome will come back near the end and cement himself as the true Joker, with his survival only adding proof

Rohan Unni I don't doubt that by next year, Leto's joker is going to be memerable. However, keep in mind that there is no definitive Joker. Every actor that portrayed this immersive character has played him to pure genius. From Cesar Romero, to Nicholson, to Hamil, to Ledger and beyond. Different styles different types of movies and shows engaging in what it is about. All I can say is we'll just have to wait and see. I can't wait for Leto's Joker anymore then I can't wait for Monaghan's (aka Jerome) Joker in the series. I think they both with be memorable despite the over-hype. That is of course, IF Monaghan's Joker is in fact "The Joker". . . Just Saying. . .

Actually I thought the same thing when the first trailer for the new season came out, I said "too much laugh, it's too obvious" but then I watched the first episode it surprised me to find out that He doesn't laugh or act insane all the time, so it doesn't seem forced. And I have the think that he may not be the actual Joker after all, that they're just testing us for something even better than this!
Well, many storylines have a Joker origin. Gotham's storyline chose this one. I stoped cringing when they killed characters that were meant to be alive in the future. But you got to agree. When he laughed the first time in the trailer, it sounded like Heath Ledger and the second laugh was just awesome!

+Erads In the comics there was a point where the Joker shot her and she was no longer able to walk so she was unable to continue crimefighting so she became the tech support and pretty much did all the research and hacking from then on.

Rohan Unni I don't doubt that by next year, Leto's joker is going to be memerable. However, keep in mind that there is no definitive Joker. Every actor that portrayed this immersive character has played him to pure genius. From Cesar Romero, to Nicholson, to Hamil, to Ledger and beyond. Different styles different types of movies and shows engaging in what it is about. All I can say is we'll just have to wait and see. I can't wait for Leto's Joker anymore then I can't wait for Monaghan's (aka Jerome) Joker in the series. I think they both with be memorable despite the over-hype. That is of course, IF Monaghan's Joker is in fact "The Joker". . . Just Saying. . .

I just created this topic for fun, considering all the hype. BTW im not comparing the actors playing their respectively roles, I KNOW WHO JARED LETO IS, and even Monaghan is a rising 22 yrs old star, he is doing a great job in this show, remember that his overacting could be just a red herring to tease the series viewers, i already stated that in another post on this vid, and even we have only seen 10 seconds of Jared´s Joker like +Jovilette Epoña accurately said... i still think this topic could be fun and a relevant one in "COMPARING THE CHARACTERS" in an "OBJECTIVELY" way aside of the fact that Leto is the most experienced actor.
