As promised we made a video installing my newly acquired Tremec T56 Magnum Faceplated Transmission. No professional video but good enough! Big thanks to Liberty Gears for pushing this build towards me in very ample time. This is going in my 90 black mustang 351 turbo car for time being. Will end up in my other turbo next season behind a monster setup chasing crazy times! We will see. For now I can get it worn in and setup. My 351 has an on3 turbo kit with 76mm Precision Turbo. Has Bosch 160 pounds injectors. custom SCT tune and makes well over 600+ hp.

That’s crazy how light the pedal is.
Yes it is
really respect what u do. always good info, showing options i cld use. in return, i watch commercials . my way of helping the channel grow, return the respect to neomustangs
Thanks man I do appreciate.
any chance u wld use an unpaid intern, parts runner, lunch getter, in your shop short term this fall ? wld love to gain a fraction of the knowledge u n paul together contain. i learn best by watching a great example and then doing
your a bad dude neo like ur vids alot
Thanks man
I love ur vids man keep them coming
Thanks I will long as a couple people wanna hear me ramble lol
@@Neomustangs I'm building a on3 fox right now I've learned quite a bit listening to you ramble ur pretty much my source for on3 fox stuff or fox in general and look forward to ur new vids
With those ceramic clutches it isn’t usually the disc that wears away material, its the steel flywheel, floater, and pressure plate. So it doesn’t surprise me it was almost at new thickness. If you resurface the flywheel and plate you can buy some extra life out of them. Maybe that isn’t your style, but it’s a poor man’s clutch rebuild.
Not sure if it’s the same for twin discs, but with the single disc It’s my understanding that the clamping force actually starts to go up as the system wears
Yep the flywheel was worn. The discs seemed ok so you make a valid point
@@Neomustangs I'm thinking about going to a similar setup with my 87 notchback. Wouldn't a hydraulic clutch conversion be better than the factory steel cable so that I would have more throw?
Brian Boldin nah don’t waste time or money on it. Imo. Just do the cable. Get a good quality cable. Not a cheap one. Steeeda. Ford racing etc
Can you send me the QUICKTIME BELL HOUSING PART NUMBER AND THE SIZE OF THE DRUVE SHAFT? I have the same 351w and buying a T56 soon. Thanks in advance
Very nice vid. I hope this combo is good to You.
I had a tremec 3550 in my old ‘90 GT. Very tough back in 1995.
Nice !
I'm so amped for this black car right now. Once I split my 302 t5 combo in half. I'm gonna run a 351 aluminium head tko600 combo. Coming along nicely
Well I split my t5
Nice Neo!!! Go bust some heads!!!
Thx !!
You should make another bracket , get a patent and sell them things.
I should because adding the length of throw sure help my pedal effort.
@@Neomustangs you absolutely should, you've solved a problem the aftermarket doesn't care to address. Might not get rich off it , but it sure would cement you in the legacy of fox body history .
Sick!!!!
Ty!
Hey good job showing the twin disc set up I never seen that before.i did see the aeromtive fuel regulator setup didn’t see fuel return line if so do you have pressure creeping up thanks for the video
Yw. Thanks for watching !
Neomustangs thanks for showing us and teaching brother thank you brother Paul good help is hard to come by.
Ya he’s my cousin. Works for me. Been my right hand man for 20 years. Knows more about fox bodys than most lol
So quick question I see there’s two different type QuickTime bellhousing for a sbf is there a difference for the magnum & a reg t56 termi trans when it comes to certain bellhousing doing the swap
I’m not sure. Hanlon could answer that
I just ate up my second throwout bearing in about 500 miles. I’m pretty aggravated. Second bearing lasted about 150 miles. Using a super street pro , QuickTime bellhousing, scat flywheel, 94+up fork don’t remember a weight being on it but I’ll check. Cable adjusted with no pressure on the fingers of the clutch basically. Obviously you have to keep tension on the cable so it doesn’t pop out of the fork. Everything’s brand new. I have a moroso pan also. I think something is broken in the clutch like a spring or something. Any ideas? What are you doing for air gap ?
Air gap I can’t remember we had it wrote on bell housing
Another great video man! Steeda project sounds interesting.... which housing you thinking about switching to on the precision if you do?
.81.
I have the McLeod RST twin disc it’s almost freaky that the pedal pressure is so easy. And those washers will make you cuss like a sailor. My question is how tight do you run your clutch cable? Does it engage really high?
Just enough preload on the TO bearing. Engaging a few inches off floor
Neomustangs Is your QuickTime bell housing “modified “ because it looks different than mine , and I can’t see the clutch and TO bearing that good
Every body's blaming quicktime for the clutch cables not fitting. IT'S NOT THEIR FAULT. Your using the wrong oil pan !!! If you use the correct pan that canton makes for these cars you have no problems with the clutch pedal...............
Lol ok bud.
What bell housing is needed? I have a T56 in my 1993 foxbody and the fork doesn't have enough room to fully engage clutch
Your pivot ball probably isn’t right
I'm in the process if buying a 92 that has a T56 in it, right now it has shorty headers. Do you know which ling tubes will fit? I've looked everywhere and can't get answers
No one will really know answers like that offhand. However call KOOKS and some of the other high end header manufacturers and they might tell you
Good video again . What kinda cost for that t56 ? Thinking of building a 393 , with a single turbo, but want to keep a manual in it. Any advice of tips would be very appreciated. Thanks
With the driveshaft and all the extra parts you’re looking at about five grand
Thanks for your response , honestly lower than I thought. Keep up the good man.
Do you recommend any brand Clutch for a mostly stock Fox?
I eye balled the Mcleod brand, would appreciate your opinion, thanks.
Look forward to seeing this Black Fox rolling again 👍
Centerforce disc with spec plate. !
@@Neomustangs thanks 👍
I'm thinking about doing the same set up to my 88 LX. I want to install the T56 so when I install the 4.10 gear the 6th gear on the T56 will keep my RPM's low. What gear are you running in your GT @neomustang?
T56 needs to be driven at track just like any other stock. 1-4. Gear it appropriate. The 5-6 help keep rpm low yes
What do you tune your mustangs with?
Quarterhorse.
What is the length of the c channel bracket you made?
I don’t know I just Eyed it in. I could take photos
@@Neomustangs I was just curious. I have a quicktime bell and a t56 from an 04 Cobra going behind my 351 based stroker. I may need the same mod.
I’ll let you know. Remind me.
