so far in 2014, 4 races and 4 top tens, he hasnt ever done that before, getting a top ten in the first 4 races, hopefully it means alot more good things to come this season for Jeff
I was there! Been a Gordon fan since '97 when I was 3 years old, and going to races off and on since 2002 between Richmond and Martinsville. This was the first time I've seen him win in person. I have a few videos on my channel of the race from my P.O.V. if anyone is interested.

This is my favorite Jeff Gordon win. Drive for 5 in 2015.
After all that happened to the team this season: the terrible luck, personal struggles, crew chief rumors and the Richmond debacle, this race was redemption, not just for Jeff but for the team. One of my favorite wins of his illustrious career.
They didn't win the title and Texas helped cause that misfortune, but this group fought all year & they are stronger than before. Next year, they will be VERY TOUGH. They know they can WIN. #NeverQuit

After Gordon passed Kenseth for the lead, I was just yelling, "STAY GREEN!!! STAY GREEN!!!! STAY GREEN!!!!!"

I actually watched the finish of the race with my dad. He and I are huge Jeff fans and he and my mom are divorced so I don't get a chance to see a lot of races with him. So this win was very special for me and him.

Great drive by the 24, he deserve it!!! The Chase is not over for this team ^^.
If anybody still says Jeff should retire, they obviously missed this race, missed that Jeff finished 6th in points-- his best since 2009, and they also forgot that he's only finished dead last 2 times, so others should retire before Jeff.

Martinsville was Gordon's strong suit track, even though he never ran off a string of wins there compared to, say, the 7 straight road course triumphs or the Food City/Southern 500 fourpeats.

I love Jeff, but not sure if he has what it takes to win a championship under this format. Under the old format? Of course, hardcore Jeff fans have well documented that he was robbed in '04 and '07. But that's not the case. I think Jeff has a shot this year if he gets into that last round at Homestead because he's been so consistent and he's been really fast there in the last few years as well as being very good at the mile and halfs this year.
