This was incredibly helpful! I followed a different shadow wrap heel tutorial and screwed it all up but your tutorial was straight forward, just enough talking without over complicating things. I made this heel first try with your tutorial with zero mistakes or confusion. THANK YOU!

Thank you so much for this very clear video, I just completed my first shadow wrap short row reel! Yay! I used to knit socks with the heel flap, gusset method (don't know what it's actually called haha) but this is so much easier. Your voice is so calming to hear so I will definitely be checking out your other videos.

I found this heel pattern from another instructor here on RUclips several months ago and I love it. It took hours off me knitting a heel. I don't like wrap and turn heels and this one isn't complicated at all to me. Thank you for a very clear understanding of how to knit this heel so that other's may find hope in this pattern too.

Thank you so much, just discovered this for the first time from your video, so much easier and faster than the heel flap and wrap and turn methods I have used in the past. Will use this method forever more, can’t thank you enough 😁

Great tutorial, very clear. I love the simplicity and it seems to go quicker than the heel flap and gusset.

Thanks for breaking it down for us! I tried knitting the fleegle heel and the bottom part of the heel turned out huge, because I had no idea how long to make it. Had to start over. Also, I liked the nice blues music you had going on in the background.

The thing is, though I'm not exactly sure how to do the math for my nieces 26 knit socks. 8, 8 and 10 or 9, 9 and 8 seems to match with what you were saying. Oh, now I see the pattern. It's flexible. Thanks. Oh, but wait, it looks like I have to divide the 26 knits in half because we are only working with the back side...?

Hi Holly. I just finished your tutorial and it looks amazing. Thank you for very clear instructions. I have a question about the 2nd portion of the heel, I lost 2 stitches when I was making my triple stitch and didn’t know where they disappeared to so I winged it & there’s a slight gap but I’ll patch it up ( it’s my first time) what do you recommend I do if a couple of stitches slide off unexpectedly? I just winged it but if there’s a solution I would love to hear it. I’ve tried so many different heals but this is the best one. I can’t wait to finish the sock to try it on for fit.
    Thanks
    Take care
    Rosy💜

Sorry, my English is with a translator.
I correctly understood that this method is without an additional circular row?

Great video and I loved your instructions. Can this be done with a toe up pattern or can this method only be used with a cuff down pattern?

  • @thepamgoose

Does it matter if you knit toe up or cuff down? This looks like cuff down. Thank you for this video. Very clear & I want to try.
