That is the toughest decision ever... to me dogs are family, they aren't pets, they are kids. I've got 3 dogs (had 4, 1 past away in January 😢) I know how you guys feel. Prayers the doggie gets better.

Great video as always! We love the Cosby area and that’s where we choose to stay when we’re visiting the Smoky Mountains. We have made a lot of friends there during our travels through the years and a special shout-out to Mrs Dawn and the fine folks at Carver’s Apple Orchard and Family Restaurant, they’re awesome and serve the best apple fritters with apple butter for sure! We lost our 8 year old chihuahua, Wilson, a few months back and it's never easy, even just to leave them to be taken care of. They're not just pets, they're family. Good decision to do something that, although hard emotionally, was what was best for his well being. Another great video as always!
Greetings from South Africa. We love following your adventures, but just a minute in today you had my wife in tears leaving Zeke behind. She's such a huge dog person and we love to travel with our dogs as well. Would love to travel in the USA one day, there seems to be so many beautiful places there.... almost as beautiful as here in sunny South Africa ;)

I have a black lab mix that's 10 and showing signs of significant aging. Also she has a tumor on her side. It's heartbreaking knowing she's almost done. They're a part of the family. I wish you all well and have a safe journey!

Pretty cool that we both watched the same video the day before. Neither knew that the other was watching them. Haha. Is it crazy that sometimes I wear my Lifestyle Overland tshirt 2 days on a row? Oh wow! That's so cool! We've also been surprised at just who is watching. Folks stop us at gas stations, restaurants, etc. and tell us they saw us on RUclips. It's crazy! Even had several folks in Deadhorse that watch! Love it!
This has to be my favorite episode just because i live in Cosby just a few miles from were they held the overland rally this year.

I just came across your channel a few days ago and have been getting caught up on your videos. I'm from Maryville and when I first saw your face I could have sworn you were a former coworker. He actually looks more like you than your brother does, do you have any cousins or other relatives in Blount county? So at the very least you have a doppelganger.

Omg I wish knew y’all were there I would loved to say hello; I live in the city of Tyler and ride my bike at that park. Tyler State Park has some of the best mountain bike trails in Texas. Love watching your videos, been slowly fixing up my 4Runner for my overland adventures soon.

Hi guys - not sure if you answered this in an earlier video - at this point you're running all-terrain tyres, but have you had your suspension modified from stock at this point in your journey? I see a lot of lifted jeeps, but your 4runner looks pretty normal albeit with upgraded tyres. Enjoying the video and happy that I have lots to watch before I catch up.
Nothing like a good ole Krystal when you've been away for a while. And a nice talk glass of Mayfield milk. They're ice cream is pretty good too.
That toyo bold overland is beautiful wow such green mountains, here in CA aaaaa not so much

On another note I have noticed that on the interior head liner of your vehicle you have multiple patch attached to it so could you tell me how are you attaching them too it . "help you out", mention overlanding on any forum and they'll laugh you out of there... made that mistake when i bought my 2016 tacoma TRD OR... have been into offroading, but I really want to do some traveling around this country of ours and see some sights.. slowly building my tacoma up to get it there.. should be another year or so and i will be well on my way. currently on stock size 265/65/16 yokohama geolandar AT's, 1.25" wheel spacers (in prep for some 285/75/16s on the stock TRD wheels), pop lock kit, soft tyger tonneau cover, ordering the max-modular 18" bed rack with the tonneau mounts in 2 weeks (payday) so I retain my tonneau covers use. I will also be ordering the ARB Simpson III RTT. after that it will be the front bumper (SSO hybrid w 20" LED bar/winch), sliders, and rear bumper, then it will be suspension time looking at the OME BP51's with OME 888 springs, and rear heavy duty leafs for a 3" lift.. then tires.. eventually gears...
What do you expect, if you're on the internet there is always going to be assholes.

Big prayers for your lab. It was tough when our lab died. That looked like Goff Dairy outside of Hobbs. I could be wrong it's been a long time since I was in Hobbs. We have deliberated a lot on moving to Red River, NM, but we have the same issues with our parents getting on up there in age. If something happens how do we get back to them especially if we are snowed in? Best of luck to you folks
how do Krystal burgers compare to whitecastle and Whataburger? It appears that all of the Krystal places in Dallas have been closed.
I'm very involved in Dog rescue and see people have to make hard choices all the time. Ultimately, I think you guys made a good choice. He'll be there waiting when you get back. As I get started I plan to drag my dog Kaiser around a lot, but he's young and rides in the car pretty well.

Looks like we could make a comparison test happen, but it would require a little driving. There is a Whataburger in Baton Rouge, and Krystal and White Castle are both in New Orleans. So there is a future road trip for you. I havent seen any Overlanding videos done in swamps.
I have never had a Whataburger. The difference between White Castle and Krystal is that Krystal automastically puts mustard or theirs.

I've put on the new grill and headlights set up for my rig and got 4 new tires the other day along with other goodies I'm gonna start adding this month so it's a work in progress. Moved to the UAE 3 years ago. Had every intention of taking our dog with us. Even picked out an apartment that was dog friendly.
3 years later our dog is still living with my parents. It was a much better fit for him then the 14 hour flight. 😥
It's a tough call, but it's hard to completely change their routine especially when they are older. Thanks for the support.

My dogs ARE family. I would never leave them behind especially if they are getting old and having health issues. Should I decide that I wish to pursue some other type of lifestyle which did not include dogs I would postpone until I no longer had any. The fact is that Zeke will always wonder what he did wrong that you left him. I pray that I will NEVER have to make that decision.

You should be able to find them anywhere in the midwest. you can also get frozen ones in all major grocery stores, but they are better hot and fresh.
