Already done via your instagram post! Thanks for the hookup!
i am east indian and living in canada, my community doesnt much adventurous but i got interest in camping, camp fire, visit natural places, by your types of youtuber. i am keep watching you vlogs even late night ( 2.30 AM) corona time is being perfectly utilize by me. thank you so much guys.
Love the back story!! Was curious about a few of those things - anxious for more!! Thanks for the mention too - that was the day i picked up the new trailer!
Thanks, man! Oh, and thanks for holding down the fort while we were busy! Having those Anza Berrego videos was like we were still out there ;)
Awesome stuff guys... all so real, everything spontaneous and down to earth, feet on the ground thoughts, preparations, video... everything... really great material for anyone wishing to do the same as you guys, whatever the extent of their trip... Well done, all thumbs up from me...!
just found your site. how cool of you all. No way to replace what you all are doing. enjoy keep us all in loop
Thanks for watching! We will keep the videos coming!
You should look into using fulfillment centers to keep your shirts and hats available. You make a little less than if you were doing it all yourself but you don't need to carry inventory or worry about shipping! And you can have a lot more designs. Stoked for you guys and can't wait to see the Alaska content!
Thanks! We are definitely looking into using this type of service!
We're going F/T within the next 3 months. Hopefully our paths will cross sometime. Safe travels and best of luck.
Awesome! See you out there!
You need to get a GoPro Session for Caroline so we can see her point a view.
Haha! We talked about doing just that! Have the head rig ready!
Let the Full Time overlanding Begin!
Heck yes!
Cheers..... To... Ummm... You guys taking over the youtube overlanding crowd... I got my popcorn! Yay!
Hahaha! I don't know about that, but thanks for the vote of confidence!
Great to hear and see an update! Our family loves to follow you guys. Where in TN? We are in Nashville! Can't wait to see whats next!
We are currently in east Tennessee! Thanks for watching!
Maintaining the video editing from the road is tough! We got crazy behind and found it challenging to get two out a month from the road. We never tried the edit while driving technique.
It's not easy but some good noise canceling headphones, an Xantrex 1000W inverter, ASUS ROG laptop and Adobe Premiere is a great combo so far!
Just starting supporting you on Patreon. Good luck on your adventures!!
Hey Rob! THANK YOU so so much! I greatly appreciate it!
Brake Job: you forgot to grease the shim plates. it may make noise in the future if not already.
I've never heard of greasing the shims, but I'll keep it in mind next time. So far, they're totally silent.
Lifestyle Overland u grease just around the pistons where it would contact on the shim. It prevents squeaks and squealing noises. Use synthetic brake grease. Also don't forget to use antiseize on the bolts too.
Not selling out... liquidating and living life to the fullest!
Exactly!
I would be interested how you handle the kiddo ( i have a 6 and 4 year old ) with school? (Assuming your little girl isnt at that age, but if you keep on doing this how that will be done) and a good episode of how you can afford to do this. Along with that the details of how you handle insure and titling since you don't have a physical residence anymore (or do you?) Im building up a 00 grand cherokee at the moment and plan to work into this myself, but not going full out till the kiddos are out of school and on their own.
Great guys... A new fan from Argentina. ;)
I love this 💚💚👌👆episode
My kids love donuts, where was that in Scottsdale? Cant wait to watch for more encouraging overloading!
It's called the Local Donut and it's amazing!
Comecei assistir hoje seus vídeos, muito bom cara, parabéns.
What you guys are doing is what some people dream of.
Wish I had the time too to do some long travels like this and see the country with no major schedule and no rush.
Such a loving family. Take care of each other and be safe out there guys.
Thank you so much for the support!
Curious about what your plans are for schooling for your daughter? Will you be homeschooling her? I also have a young daughter, and the thought came to mind.
Good video
good
it's gonna long long trip...
You should have shown Jason's finger lol.
Bwahahaaha! Yes!
🤙
Not boring at all. Awesome to see the adventure prep, which is part of it right?! Definitely supporting on Patreon, even if it's a really small amount. Good luck to you guys and look forward to following along.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the support!!!
Awesome content. I am a kayaker with a 4runner and do "adventures" in a 50 mile radius LOL but you provide ideas for DOING exploration!! Wow. Thank you.
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it!
Quick tip: When changing the brake pads and using the C clamp to press the caliper piston back in, you can place one of your old break pads onto the face of the piston to press it back in evenly and avoid damaging the piston.
Love your decision to go Overland full time. You have inspired me to do the same at least once in this lifetime! I look forward to watching the full series of adventure!
Use the thin dead pad to push the piston back in, you risk breaking the piston the way you did it
Very good idea! I'll keep that in mind for next time! (Though, I've never broken one yet!)
Or offset the piston..
I've done it..pain to fix
I scrolled through comments to see if anyone else said this, I have seen composite pistons and as previously mentioned you can push the piston to one side and possibly score things
Why the solar panel. It takes up a majority of the roof rack space!!!!???? Isn't there a more comprehensive solar charging solution???
Good vid. Here's a brake tip for next time; Put the old pad in the caliper when you compress the piston. This way when you use the c-clamp you get even compression around the cylinder and you won't get binding. Safe travels!
Great meeting you at SMOR, look forward to more. And hope all goes well on the upcoming adventures!!!!
Great meeting you too! Thanks for the support!
What brand of your Rims?
Hi. I'm from the caribbean. Really enjoying the videos. By the way, your wife really resembles another RUclipsr. 'Kimmys bubble' I think is her channel.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great meeting you at SMOR. Good luck on your adventures.
Great meeting you too! Thanks for the support!
You guys have a good relaxed and informal style of interacting with the camera; keep it that way! Too many phonies out there.
Haha, we are who we are! Thanks for the support!
You guys are awesome!
Prevents chattering, also when compressing the caliper piston. You want to used the old pad so you don’t risk damaging the piston surface or tearing the piston boot. You guys are cool. This looks like fun!
Good point! Thanks for the support!
Holy hell! You look just like Eric church with your shades on bro! Lol!👍👊
Bwahahaha! Maybe a little... Thanks!
I dream about doing what ya'll have been blessed with the opportunity to enjoy. I wish I could donate. But I'm a poor college kid just waiting to overland like ya'll
You're support is very much appreciated, monatary or verbal, it's doesn't matter to us! Just glad to have you watching!
Alaska in the spring, be careful the bears and moose. I've always wanted to drive the Alcan hwy so I will vicariously through you I suppose. What a heck of an adventure and I can't wait for more.
Thanks for watching! We will definitely be mindful of the wildlife!
A true man, sneaks into storage and then sets up a man cave while the woman is out... lmfao well played.
Curious as to the install of the solar panel on your Gobi rack. Don't you lose quite a bit of the use of the rack mounting it there?
Looking forward to the Alaska trip. Bucket list for me.
Yes, we certainly do lose space but with the trailer we rarely need any extra storage space. We needed additional power more than the storage at this point. Thanks for watching!
Just watching you guys so cool
Thanks!
Please use a caliper piston tool. They are 5 bucks. Alot of people use the clamp method but it is a good way of ruining the caliper.
We've had a lot of feedback on this. Thanks for the tip. Been doing it this way for years without issue, but there's always a chance.
seems as though the solar panel will take a big beating attached to that rack, no rubber separation
Good luck with everything. Cant wait to see whats coming
Thanks!
What about the dog?
Allyson Clark they ran out of food and gas for 2 weeks so they had to do it.
He’s responded to pretty much every question EXCEPT people asking what happened to their dog.
Keep up the great work! You make a great team. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much!
Very low-key group, but i’m hooked
Hi - Adventure looks great!! Are you also charging the battery from the alternator or solar only?
Thanks! Charging with solar and alternator. Eventually we will be totally divorced from the system with only an emergency tie.
You guys going to be at Overland Expo West 2018????
Yes! You can find us at Turtleback Trailer's booth Q31!
🇷🇺👍
Yea first
Nicely done 😉
lovely family
Crank it out, I could watch 4-5 videos a day!
We will do what we can!
Cool startup..i'm curious to know lol..jump to next episod...
Lot's of episodes ahead of you!
@@LifestyleOverland on my way hee
Congratulations! Subbed.
Thanks!
good job
Pretty cool what you guys are doing
Thanks!!
Just happened upon your channel. Really awesome idea packing up and going on an adventure. My wife and I did a trip to Seattle, WA to test out the idea. Not quite the same as your adventure. We are longing to get back on the road again though. Just a thought on the brake job. When you compress the plunger (for lack of the correct name), it is better to use one of the old brake shoes over the plunger. Then place the C clamp foot on the back of the brake shoe, and compress. This helps avoid any slippage of the C clamp foot. You don't want to damage the caliper. Just in case you are not aware of it. :)
Looking forward to watching the rest of your videos. Thanks for posting!
What psi are you running on your tires when you’re on the road and unloaded?
We are never really unloaded but we usually run between 38-45 PSI
@@LifestyleOverland what about on the road?
Good job guys...loving it!
Thanks so much!
I thought I spotted NM plates. Maybe we can link up sometime. Just got into the hobby, I'm up in ABQ
I wanted to ask you where you lived when you own the RV trailer
South Scottsdale, AZ
Sorry for the confusion, what I meant to ask was, in a campground, different campground, etc? Your adventure in the 4Runner is going to be amazing and your family couldn't be any more a perfect fit. I've got a daughter about your daughter's age, I only wish she enjoyed adventure as much as yours does!
Did You sell the House too? What job You were doing before this? This expedition is going to be expensive I guess. Good luck.
Good for you guys! You seem like a lovely family and I can't wait to follow your adventure!
Where is your dog?
What about the dog?
Finally I found something to watch..
Wife wants to know where you got the quilt, she loves it!
I'm guessing someone has a BFG sponsorship. And if you don't you should have lol. This is great stuff, I'm really pulling for you to make this work.
Nope! Hope to meet them at Expo West though. It's a bit late in the game for any sponsorships though. Time to head north very soon. Thanks for the support!
This is not how u do brakes , guys
some advice, use the old pad to press in the caliper so it is pressing evenly.
Yep, great point! Thanks.
👍❤👍
where can i buy the great " attitude pills" that you give to your wife??
🤣🤣🤣 They're magical! Thankfully it's natural (for the most part!).
Lifestyle Overland ....right On
Not boring you have inspired me. Dont know if I will ever be able to convince my wife to embrace such an adventure. I am currently searching for a vehicle preferably a JEEP Grand Cherokee to do a overland build. I am a JEEP guy I currently own a 97 GCL but because of its ghost stalling issues I have obtted to NOT use the 97 as my platform.
