THEORIES! 1. The whole thing with the wolf man is just another game that Dad cooked up to keep Shay from getting bored with Mom's games 2. Shay has been unwittingly controlling Mog Chothra the whole time. Mog Chothra is, of course, actually a robot. The "one survivor" he had to leave was the girl sulking in the wrecked bird cage Vella found.
The ship is DEFINITLY the mog chothra... Think about it first rescue mission, one was left behind "bird lady from melston or smthn", second rescue the last one got away "vella", boom arms, cargo hold, mog chotras arms and stomach
lol I knit while watching Cry's videos, so when the space weaver showed up, I just stopped and looked at my project like: "Holy fuck, I'm knitting the space-time continuum".
LordOfTheWeebs You're not getting his point.. he's not talking about a real mask but a cover-up. Like he's a whole complete different person when gaming but when it comes to his normal life he's a different person. And i like your picture of Sehun and sorry i cleared this up so late-
after close examination of allll mah previous comments....this seems to have the most +1's of any comment ive made prior...thank you all....youve made a nerdy white guy rather happy
I love how in the beginning in part one of this series, I thought this was just some kiddy game....I'm glad I stayed till the end of the video or else I wouldn't have found out how cool this game actually is! :D
Ya know, moon dad creeping up on Shay outside the ship like "Kid I know what you're up to, I'm watching you, you better be on your best behavior hmm" LOL. And I really don't quite trust dat wolf ]:
Shay's story now becomes really interesting. :O yeah, Marek seems VERY shifty, however I'm starting to piece everything together upon watching both Vella and Shay's experiences, though there are a few questions I still have, I'm eager to see if my theory is correct.
I still find it more than a little sad that that computer mom loves her kid more than the assholes who threw their daughter to the maiden eating monster...
***** "Fair" has nothing to do with it. Their Culture says that it's a noble thing because the people are willing to sacrifice the innocent so that their own lives are not comprimised. The idea of sacrificing another, your child, to save yourself, is apauling regardless of whether or not you and everyone around you says that it's right. Dogs are animals, I understand killing non-sentient creatures, even if I personally like dogs. That IS a cultural thing. But the sacrificing of innocent sentient life to the point where it becomes a celebration... I refuse to acknowledge that as acceptable moral dissonance between cultures. Anyone who would allow it, regardless of what their culture and those around them say, is an asshole. Maybe ignorant of the fact that what they are doing is wrong, but an asshole. I could say a great many more colorful things about such a form of human trash, but I think I'll settle for asshole. XD
Theearl444 Dogs are sentient; humans, by definition, are animals. To believe that a human life is worth more than dogs or other animals is both ignorant and egotistical. It is extremely ethnocentric to call a culture an asshole for practicing the norms that were passed down to them by previous generations. The norms displayed in the previous videos can be seen as parallel to that of the Chichimecan people, the Aztecs, or numerous other civilizations. These people believed that by sacrificing one, they would appease the gods or nature and prevent harm to the entire nation.
***** Implying that their cultural norms were what resulted in the death of the civilization breaks the cardinal rule of scientific statistics. No civilization is permanent, the ones existing today included.
WhiscashWhiskers I understand their reasoning, I'm merely remarking on the fact that such reasoning is deplorable. And to say it's alright for them to be that way, would be the same as condoning the behavior of people who are rascists. True, it was passed down to them by previous generations, but that doesn't make their behavior or way of thinking "right". I may understand why they are that way, they may even blameless for what their history has made them...but WHAT it has made them, is an asshole. As for dogs, when I said "sentient" I meant, "human level sentience". Something that can actually acknowledge, analyze, and percieve it's own existance to any great degree. Dogs, while certainly smart in terms of the animal kingdom, are still nothing even close to that level. The idea that lesser species are in some way equal to something that can actually contemplate "life" or "death" to the point that humans can isn't egotistical, it's merely valuing the ability to percieve life and higher ideals above "life" in and of itself. If for example there was a dog that could think and operate on the level of human, I would defend it's right to be valued equally alongside any human you could name (probably above certain others if it was a pleasant individual. XD) The same would go, for me, for things that weren't even "alive" at all, but could still think to the level of human, such as an A.I. So I don't think it's ignorant so much as a different set of priorities on what's important. *whew* And that's all I have to say about that. XD
Wait wait wait don't tell me this ship is controlling Mog Chothra somehow??? (I haven't finished this video so I'm not sure if this gets proved wrong or right but-) Or is Mog Chothra? Like... 'saving' the creatures, maybe that's when Mog Chothra eats the maidens? And him picking all of them was what happened with Vella?
OH MY GOD. I just made the connection in my head, and then come down to the comments just so see...everyone else...is...already...ahead...of me.... *sighs*
I'm going to stop watching your LP from this episode Cry. It's an amazing one but you made me want to play the game so I can't spoil myself any further. I'll watch it when I'm done with the game. :D Or keep this as my walkthrough. Thanks for this man!
Plus, marek assigns you to "rescuing creatures" and some of them he doesn't want you to choose. One manages to randomly disappears? That might be Vella.
Richard Horvitz (Zim) also is the voice of Daggett and Pox... Just throwin' that out there.. Aww, Pox, i wish they would make another Destroy All Humans, but for ps3, such an awesome game.
The best thing about Gary is that he doesn't want to grab stuff at all. tried it on nearly everything. There is just one thing he wants to grab. God damnit Gary.
What if the Mog chothra is Shay's ship? And when they were "rescuing" the creatures, it would turn out to be the sacrifices in the maiden's feast! And the one's that weren't able to be rescued were the "rejected" sacrifices. Oh god, this is making so much sense now...
Nice theory, but I don't think that's it, since the Mog Chothra has apparently been around for decades, and Shay doesn't look that ol- Wait a minute... every 14 years... ... Oh shit.
Wait... I don't get it. Why is everyone thinking that "Mog Chothra is the ship"? I thought the Mother was telling the story of Vella, how she didn't want to sacrifice herself... And then Shay said "The Sacrifice Girl is you" which basically means that the Mother is Vella? Maybe I'm just too confused or dumb to understand this. Can anyone help me out? Edit: *Without spoilering too much
randomtrucks That last purple one he was trying to get was Vella i'm pretty sure because it was fighting the arm, and I think that knitting thing makes it look like they're in space.
randomtrucks Perhaps she is recounting a different story that is similar? That's kind of the biggest piece of the puzzle that I'm not sure about yet, but it will probably make sense as the story goes on.
I'm going to take a guess and say time travel. I mean, it seems like Shay's on a pretty powerful ship. Maybe instead of traveling to a different galaxy, it actually traveled to a different time period. If that's the case, Computer/Mother could still very well be Vella. That makes me wonder about how Vella ended up as the Computer/Mother, though... Edit: OH MY WORD. I just had a thought that makes things make more sense, but I probably shouldn't post it here in case it ends up being a spoiler. Also doesn't answer who Marek is...
I don't believe the Sun is Vella. He even said that he's "sorry she's programmed with someone's sad memories". Plus, why would that last animal struggle to get away from the claw. I'm pretty sure they'll cross paths at some point.
The story of the guy and the world created to protect him reminds me to the story of Buddha, where their parents enclosed him in palace where they to protect him from the black side of the world (sickness, poverty, war, etc.) It really reminds me of it. Also the comparinson of the girl's story and the hunger games that cry made is also very accurate.
I think Cry just has that effect on people and when you watch his videos you just forget about all your problems (one of the many reasons why I love watching his videos) (: I also struggle a lot with eating problems, but just remember that you are beautiful no matter what anyone says, and no matter how you look you'll always be perfect ((:
On pure assumption, don't you think that shay is actually taking the sacrifices and Vella was the one that fell off, and that bird girl is the one that was left? :0 Pure assumption though.
How does nobody notice that the "Universe" they're floating through looks exactly like WATER, even when you get close shots of the windows when you're talking to Marek? Seriously. You see bubbles in it and everything. I'm surprised I didn't notice that when I watched this for the first time.
Oh wait a minute I think I figured out what the boom arm and the creatures that have been captured are. Not gonna spoil it but I think I have a pretty good idea now.
ASHERUISE Hmm, I don't know. We don't have anything concrete yet to prove it in the entirety of Act 1. I'm holding out hope that Vela doesn't turn out to be psycho computer lady.
Yup, the monster is the ship. Exhibit A: Shay had to leave one creature/maiden behind. That creature/maiden was the meriloft girl. Exhibit B: Shay rescued the last creature/maiden but it broke free. Vella broke free of the monster's arm. COINCIDENCE? I THINK NOT!
Wait, could it be possible that Marek is Mog Chothra, and the little creatures represents the girls being sacrificed in the Maiden's Feast. And the one that escaped is Vella? Or am I just weird? I thought maybe somehow that was how the stories connected....
Cry, u play the most weirdest games but they are so interesting. Don't know you come along games like that but im glad. Really cures the boredom. Also ur voice always seem to put me to sleep so thanks for ending my insomnia :)
Spoilers- I found it very VERY smart how they foreshadow each other The creature you leave behind, The green bird lady The on who fights back Vella "Danger system seven" Where vella grew up, they used to fight mogs
This is a really interesting series and i like the guys story because he's a really in depth character. (not to mention the unique animation style and Cry's amazing commentary lol
AND i realised after the feather place it was sugar blunt right? There were five girls and the last one did get away. Wow how did i not noticed that the ship was Mog Chotra when i watched this for the first time?
Cry, she's the space weaver, so like... she literally creates the fabric of time and space, haha. There were a lot of weaving puns in that first little countdown of hers, if you know what you're looking for. :)
EPIC SPOILER: Shay's ship is actually Mog Chothra. The mini games where you save the little creatures are you picking the maiden from the maiden's feast. The little creature that couldn't be saved by Shay was Vella, as she ran away from Mog Chothra. But none of them know how it is outside their homes/towns. AWESOME, right?!
then why is shay's home made to look like space? what is benefit of letting him think he's on a space ship? how are they making it look like space? and is the computer really one of the sacrifice girls who was taken to become shay's mother? Is it basically some messed up match making thing??
the wolf (marek) is voiced by david kaufman who also did the voice for danny phantom if anyone was wondering :) i was so excited when i found that out you can kinda hear from his voice a little. it likes comes in here and there.
About midway through after he "rescued" said creatures from captivity, I got to thinkin'? Anybody else think that maybe the ship he's in is Mog Chothra?
I think the laws of physics behave differently on your channel, because 30+ minutes always feel like maybe 5 minutes to me!!! Truly liking this game, thank you.

You sir or mam, are a genius, that makes perfect sense especially since the mother said she was a sacrifice girl before, maybe it connects together.
I'm a Sir and yes, yes I am
ohhh i had to read it over twice to get it
You're right
wow. I haven't thought at it that way. man, thank you!
I was trying to find the connection but I just couldn't!
thanks bro!
lol I knit while watching Cry's videos, so when the space weaver showed up, I just stopped and looked at my project like: "Holy fuck, I'm knitting the space-time continuum".
XD idk why but that made me laugh really hard XD
Just imagine how many Cry fans have walked past him without actually realising that it's him...
If he was talking we would all be like 'OMG CRY SENPAI I FOUND YOU!'
LordOfTheWeebs You're not getting his point.. he's not talking about a real mask but a cover-up. Like he's a whole complete different person when gaming but when it comes to his normal life he's a different person. And i like your picture of Sehun and sorry i cleared this up so late-
Ace Clair Then he should've cleared that up, instead of pushing that he's wearing a mask he could've told me "No, I don't mean a real mask."
Cry: Wait...Does he eat them??
FORESHADOW
-I don't actually know, but that is a really good theory so im not surprised if it is true.-
its a wolf in wolves clothing
after close examination of allll mah previous comments....this seems to have the most +1's of any comment ive made prior...thank you all....youve made a nerdy white guy rather happy
Wait so if Mog Chothra isn't actually a maiden-eating monster but a flying ship, what actually happened to all those girls?
Find out in act 2...
Oh wait I replied t you after 4 years.
The music that plays whilst talking to Marek reminds me of Sly Cooper..
IKR! I was thinking of that too!!
Btw 28:13 also reminds me og sly cooper lol
Six years old but this is the third Sly Cooper reference I've heard/seen in my life.
I love how in the beginning in part one of this series, I thought this was just some kiddy game....I'm glad I stayed till the end of the video or else I wouldn't have found out how cool this game actually is! :D
You can't trust things with cute visuals nowdays, they're either gonna be pretty sad or very deep...or both =w=
Ya know, moon dad creeping up on Shay outside the ship like "Kid I know what you're up to, I'm watching you, you better be on your best behavior hmm" LOL.

I think I've gathered some pieces of information here.
SPOILER
Talon Nebula is Meriloft. Danger System 5 is Sugar Bunting. Prima Doom is Shellmound.
Yo, Shay, my icecream is melting, can I borrow your heart for a sec to chill it back down?
OOoooo! Boy just got Burned! Uh I mean, Frozen sun! Oh snap!

OOOOHHH and the other girl Vella met who didn't get picked was the one that he didn't get a chance to save!!!! IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW
Every time I hear Marek's name, I start thinking about Marik from YuGiOh.
Wait wait wait don't tell me this ship is controlling Mog Chothra somehow??? (I haven't finished this video so I'm not sure if this gets proved wrong or right but-) Or is Mog Chothra? Like... "Thats a suit? What are you .. underneath?"
"Naked, mah boy."
he's a pervert! that's why he acted like a stuffed animal!
o___O I smell a plot twist. This is gettin good
5 people must have been rejected by the mog chothra
Well Mr.Mog is kinda full after eating 3500+ people.
Emma Wyrick Mr.Mog must be an American.
THAT WOLF IS SUSPICIOUS AS HECK
OH MY GOD. I just made the connection in my head, and then come down to the comments just so see...everyone else...is...already...ahead...of me.... *sighs*

madness, i tell you: Pure Madness.

michael harrington that's exactly what i thought, like he's controlling the mog chothra or something.
+Funclebottom Humperdink mog chatra is the ship Shay is in. The Maiden Festival people see it from the outside, Shay sees it from the inside.
Richard Horvitz (Zim) also is the voice of Daggett and Pox... Just throwin' that out there.. Aww, Pox, i wish they would make another Destroy All Humans, but for ps3, such an awesome game.
I am starting to think that the monster the girl wants to fight might be the boy's ship, actually...
her mind is hidden away inside the ship.....possibly.
yh I thought the same thing to! :D
Oh my god.. you are so right xD the last "creature" looked exactly like the feather cake girl... the one that got away
you too?! This turned from a child's game to the most twisted and deep storyline i've ever seen.
Holy shit, I never even thought that but now the boy picking creatures from space kind of makes sense.
Who would've thought that SHE was Vella .... -_- Wowwwww what a plot twist though!!! Urghhh can't wait for more!!!!!!! >.
(I don't think she is?)
She as in the mother? Nah, she ain't Vella
SHE isn't Vella, but I think she was once chosen for the Maidens Feast and became that.
This game is awesome. I'm waiting for more!
this is much more intriguing than i originally gave it credit for!
such interest!!
so fascinate!!
wow!!
The best thing about Gary is that he doesn't want to grab stuff at all. tried it on nearly everything. There is just one thing he wants to grab. God damnit Gary.

This means the girls that were eaten could still be alive! And maybe in part two Vella would have to rescue them, I guess.
***** let us believe our false hopes until cry proves us wrong with his videos and shames us for dreaming ...
Nice theory, but I don't think that's it, since the Mog Chothra has apparently been around for decades, and Shay doesn't look that ol-
Wait a minute... every 14 years...
... Oh shit.
(cry can throw together a damned good outro, can't he??)
I have a feeling he's IN the choko whatever creature thing......
OH MY GOD! Before Cry said that the space weavers voice sounded like Invader Zim I had been thinking about that. HOLY SHIT WE HAVE THE SAME TYPE MIND!
Indeed...Space Weaver was the first one I really noticed it in though...still that kinda blew my mind.
*sits there* .....What?
... He's flying around in the giant monster that almost ate her isn't he
That's what I was ganna say
Children and wolves never mix well.
The more I see of this game, the more and more intrigued I become. Excellent so far, Cry.
Wait... I don't get it. Why is everyone thinking that "Mog Chothra is the ship"? I thought the Mother was telling the story of Vella, how she didn't want to sacrifice herself... And then Shay said "The Sacrifice Girl is you" which basically means that the Mother is Vella?

Mhhh.. Yeah right, but it still doesn't make sense to me though. Why would the computer be called the "Sacrifice Girl" then?
randomtrucks That last purple one he was trying to get was Vella i'm pretty sure because it was fighting the arm, and I think that knitting thing makes it look like they're in space.
randomtrucks
Perhaps she is recounting a different story that is similar? That's kind of the biggest piece of the puzzle that I'm not sure about yet, but it will probably make sense as the story goes on.
I think the story of Vella was programmed into the computer to be used as a lesson? Maybe Vella's story happened before Shay's storyy
I JUST FINISHED THIS ACT AND I MUST SAY I AM VERY ANGRY AT THIS GAME FOR DOING THAT TO ME
SAME
I don't believe the Sun is Vella. He even said that he's "sorry she's programmed with someone's sad memories". Plus, why would that last animal struggle to get away from the claw. I'm pretty sure they'll cross paths at some point.
I`m sure that Shey is voiced by Elijah Wood, he`s a good voice actor ^^
sounds more like the VA of Dipper from Gravity Falls to me...
nuub3d Never seen that show. But I looked up online and it is Elijah Wood.
Awww...those crochet creatures are just adorable! And the Space Weaver's voice actor is the one who voices Zim?
Yeah, Richard Horvitz. The guy gets around.
Senthain I see. Thank you for your reply! I loved that show. :)
Also plays Raz in Psychonauts, another amazing Double-Fine game.
6:25
I'm impressed, I thought he was about to say 'between good and evil' or something like that
'between the powerful and the weak' is so much better
Yea I kno, that was pretty cool.
My god...... It's the Crack Fox!
XD that line "man, computers are stupid."
The story of the guy and the world created to protect him reminds me to the story of Buddha, where their parents enclosed him in palace where they to protect him from the black side of the world (sickness, poverty, war, etc.) It really reminds me of it. Also the comparinson of the girl's story and the hunger games that cry made is also very accurate.
no!!! not "more to come"!!!!!
GIVE US MORE!!!!!
I love the song and how cry added his dialogue from the crooked man
The voice actor for the Space Weaver is Richard Steven Horvitz who was also the voice actor for Invader Zim (also Raz in Psychonauts) :).
Awww it's cute when Shay smiles
The teleportervoice is the same as in Teamfortress2.
Wow, I am really intrigued by this game now... Ahh, can't wait to see how this all works out! :D
Every time I watch your video you make me forget about my eating problems for a while and its amazing. So thank you for everything cry!

i like you.
INVADER ZIM!!!!!
Oh wait a minute I think I figured out what the boom arm and the creatures that have been captured are. Not gonna spoil it but I think I have a pretty good idea now.
this is too good
Popcorn, Cry and video games... perfect.
Really interesting so far! Cant wait for next part!
Also... the wolf... He is up to something bad for sure :X
The ship is Mog Chotra for sure. With the rescue missions and such, it ties together.
Wow, Sacrifice Girl lost a lot of cool points.
How so?
What?
knockoutroundabout
Because she eventually became the sugary smothering computer mom...
ASHERUISE Hmm, I don't know. We don't have anything concrete yet to prove it in the entirety of Act 1.
I'm holding out hope that Vela doesn't turn out to be psycho computer lady.
How much you wanna be the computers are his dead parents
That noise cry makes at 28:57 hmmm SO HOT
That would be the character in the game. But he does somewhat… after a couple of seconds.
Sara Beydoun yeah i know,,,,
Sara Beydoun I'm sure tacosauce77 was just giving some context =w=;
-_-;
whoa whoa whooooooa, Are those lines from crooked man in the outro?! dude that's hot.
I think that the whole "rescuing" people thing has something to do with the maidens feasts and whatnot...
I'M SO GLAD I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE THINKING THIS.
That makes SENSE.
yeah you may be right
Cry, u play the most weirdest games but they are so interesting. Don't know you come along games like that but im glad. Really cures the boredom.
Also ur voice always seem to put me to sleep so thanks for ending my insomnia :)
Spoilers-
I found it very VERY smart how they foreshadow each other
The creature you leave behind,
The green bird lady
The on who fights back
Vella
"Danger system seven"
Where vella grew up, they used to fight mogs
This is a really interesting series and i like the guys story because he's a really in depth character. (not to mention the unique animation style and Cry's amazing commentary lol

Which invader zim voice actor is it? Is it Zim's?
awww, your awesome cry "also your voice reminds me of invader zim, i feel like im in school again" 13:13
It just keeps getting more and more interesting! Looking forward to the next instalment! Keep up the great work Cry! PS: Loved that music in the end.
I love this! It's so cute and relaxing!! :D
I don't now what is's for your voice, but It makes me always so.. calm. I just love your voice Cry.
cry:"you can blow up a air mattress."
me: cry what even are y-

Cry, she's the space weaver, so like... she literally creates the fabric of time and space, haha. There were a lot of weaving puns in that first little countdown of hers, if you know what you're looking for. :)
16:08 anyone else notice the moon peeping out of the window?
Yeah, the dad :)
After finishing all the 4 parts and rewatching it again. Everything comes together and it just make sense D: Can't wait for more explanation on Act 2!
EPIC SPOILER:
Shay's ship is actually Mog Chothra.
It's a time machine, I think.
the wolf (marek) is voiced by david kaufman who also did the voice for danny phantom if anyone was wondering :) i was so excited when i found that out you can kinda hear from his voice a little. it likes comes in here and there.
"War. War never changes... "
About midway through after he "rescued" said creatures from captivity, I got to thinkin'? Anybody else think that maybe the ship he's in is Mog Chothra?
is shay voiced by Elijah Wood? it sounds alot like him!
Souless EmoVamp ok that's awesome! Thank you!
That song at the end!! It is AMAZING!!! Thank you for sharing it with us Cry :)
The wolf is like an older brother getting his younger brother into trouble with pranks.
I think the laws of physics behave differently on your channel, because 30+ minutes always feel like maybe 5 minutes to me!!! Truly liking this game, thank you.
the girl has more interesting story then the boy
I'm guessing they're going to tie in together at some point, so it'll be one story.
probably, i wouldnt doubt it
If you see closer, The Mother of shay or Computer like he says, IS the girl .
At least i think it is, because of that end story that she told.
HemkerPT I think it is. I mean, the Computer/Mother did say she was "Sacrifice Girl."
***** True, but it seems like the "Sacrifice Girl" story wouldn't have the same effect in the game if the Computer was anyone other than Vella.
it took me a second to realize it
but it was really clever using the crooked man sound right at the end there
Yay ! I just got here and now I'm watching XD
20:00 "What the hell room is this!?" 😂😂 Best line ever!!
I still got the hunch, that those "creatures" are the offerings....
i know basically all the voice actor characters and they are one of the reasons i like this game
Shay's voice sounds like Dipper Pines voice from Gravity Falls :3
I just wanted to say I love your videos, and I am really looking forward to more of this!
Thanks for the video
