I cannot believe in the 21st century we are still talking about a caste system and discrimination that victimizes women and children. Why is the government of India not doing enough? Respect the teacher and the NGOs that are stepping in and making a difference.

The Indians will just blame the British, as they usually do, for all of their problems and their failures, and under the current Modi regime they've made it hard for NGOs to operate mainly because it shames the Indians and shows the world how little the GOI is actually doing for it's own people!
Caste was banned under Dr Ambedkar's excellent secular constitution in 1950, but as usual with the Indians they just ignore the laws that they don't like, and corruption plays its part too! It is what it is.

(I understand this video about prostitution and men of low casts are suffering at least as badly, but in different industries. But regardless, you worded it strange. Yes, it is unbelievable, that in 21 century there are cast systems that discriminate and victimize men, women and their children which is horrible).

@@bishesh535 you must be Indian. Indians can’t stand being criticized for your system. Automatically compare it to other systems when it’s not about that. Even only fans, as horrible as it is, is still a “choice” for most people. These women in India don’t have a choice and for many it’s the ONLY one. That’s the difference. As she says, no one in her family had jobs and her sister “had” to get married. Why does her sister HAVE TO get married? Because of tradition and culture in this place. Fight for change in your own country and support women. Stop comparing to other countries and to justify the issues in your own. It’s not about other countries it’s about India.

As I scrolled down the comments on this video I could see people being surprised and sad about the people in the video.
But the truth is, it's not just these people or women, not just this issue, there are lots of other unseen Harasssments in the Indian society that no one wants to talk about,For an example In this video, I can see a girl saying that she wants to be an Air hostess ; well I m an air hostess in a well reputated Indian airline but still people see us as a high paid waitress who are designated to entertain the men in the flights. Not just this people do misbehave with us and even touch us inappropriately.
Indian society has a long way to go, long era is required to change the social status of women.

It's disappointing how Indian people and the government have failed to recognise the struggles and create systems for seamless integration of historically nomadic tribes of India since independence and even in modern India. They have always been an important part of Indian culture and society, but it's sad to see a day where they have to struggle to feed their families and access education due to their caste (nomadic tribes). Same as eBay ISIS was doing. Mohammad bin Qasim the man who invaded present day Sindh also took Raja Dahirs daughters to Arabia and made them sex slaves. Soo too did the invading Mughals and Turks took unmarried as well as married woman and made them sex slaves or concubines. Imagine that happening to your wife. The greatest mercy they could’ve done to those woman is kill them. As they didn’t take to giving up their bodies by choice. So much of twisting the words of so called Allah to satisfy one’s own lust.

    Making India Lazy-
I asked a 35-year-old by choice unemployed youth standing at the village's paan shop, "Why don't you do something productive and earn? You spend the whole day drinking and spitting out Rajshree (a brand of tobacco/pan masala)."
    He replied, "It's my choice."
    I asked, "Are you married?"
    He said, "Yes."
I asked, "How did you get married?" He said, "I got 30,000 rupees from the Chief Minister's Adarsh Vivah Yojana (a government scheme) and 2,50,000 rupees from the Antyodaya Kanya Vivah Yojana (another government scheme)."
I asked, "Don't you need to work for your children?" He said, "Delivery is free under the Janani Suraksha Yojana (a government scheme), and I get 1,500 rupees and 20,000 rupees under the Bhagini Prasuti Yojana (another government scheme)."
I asked, "What about your children's education?" He said, "Everything is free for them - education, uniforms, books, and food. And under the Chief Minister's Naulnihaal and Medhavi Chhatravriti Yojana (government schemes), they get money every year."
I asked, "How do you run your household?" He said, "My younger daughter got a cycle from the government. My son got a laptop. My parents get old-age pension, and we get rice for 1 rupee per kilo for the whole month."
I asked, "Don't you need to work for your parents' pilgrimage?" He said, "I've sent them under the Chief Minister's Teerth Yatra Yojana (government scheme)."
I asked, "At least work for their medical treatment?" He said, "I have an Ayushman card, so I get free treatment up to 5 lakhs."
I asked, "What about their funeral expenses?" He said, "There's a 1-rupee electric crematorium."
I asked, "Don't you need to work for your children's marriage?" He smiled and said, "It'll happen the same way I did."
He continued, "You and lakhs of people like you work and pay taxes for us. Farmers work hard to produce grains, and the government buys them and gives them to us for free. So why should we work?"

I'm not denying the history, you should just open your eyes fairly and realize how racist people have become against white people in America, like, there's no denying it, they can openly be racist about white people in their tv shows and their politicians show this exact behavior as well, meanwhile preaching that they are the liberators.
Unless of course you have been thought by black supremacists that black people can't be racist.
If that's the case, there's no reason left to elaborate any further.

Some comments imply that there's only a caste system in India, but really, in every country there are places where respectable people won't venture, so I don't think it is the case. Yes but the difference is in India there is a caste system which is upheld by the government as much as they claim not to on paper. Just by birthright you are looked at as inferior. So if you born a "Dhalit caste" ,from birth you basically at a minus. Research it if you don't believe me. A person of a " higher caste" will not even eat of the same dish as a " lower caste". They make the lower caste clean up their feaces and do the most undignified jobs.

Decades ago, I attended a lecture in Hong Kong by an Indian doctor. He said, at that time, that the caste system was disappearing. I'm surprised it's still around. India is growing as a world power. As such, a caste system can't continue.

It’s disappearing in cities BUT in rural India where community and family is an integral part, caste system still persists.
So the Indian doctor wasn’t wrong as in cities no one really cares about what your caste is. But when you step into rural India we see it still thriving.

Lots of prostitution, homeless in America also bro.
Lots of prostitution in Europe and caucuses also. Why did British stop them from their traditional jobs? Why did British accentuate the caste system by growing more divisions and starting manual scavenging? What were Christian colonisers doing all over the world grabbing land in Americas and australias, killing the natives, exploring people and making them slaves as they did with the Africans? Propagating famines in India? Is this the truth about Christianity which was started by the Europeans for waging wars and maintain their superiority. In India they came and preached about giving another cheek when slapped on one to produce a set of docile Indian Christian’s who will do majority opposition and try to increase their counts using conversion if they are not able to match it by creating babies? What great posts or scientists have so called below average English speaking Christian’s of Indian descent reached in India or the world? They are not idhar ka na udhar ka. don’t even have ur a culture they can claim as their own.

Caste system is abolished in India and no caste system exists in India. But it cannot be said about caste-based discrimination. But this is not a case of caste system or aftermath of Caste System. They were forced in prostitution due to poverty. There is not a single caste even in history whose members were considered as prostitutes or slaves. This channel has raised a good issue but they have not done the research properly.
