Dude, you're awesome. All your videos are concise and easy to follow. As an adult that just started playing; my stick handling has improved remarkably and my accuracy, albeit rookie level, is also improving.
Better than all those kids on youtube thinking they're snipers and uploading videos.
I think it's funny how everyone that does these videos has flip flops on
Awesome shooting, thanks for the tips!

Thanks for the great video! I'm getting back into the game, and needed a little refresher. This fit the bill perfectly.

thank you these helped me alot! I FINALLY CAN GET THE PUCK OF THE ICE YAYY!!
As always, great video.
What I couldn't figure out 100%: Where do you look at in the moment of the shot e. g. when the blade hits the puck?
Never had any damages of the house from pucks ricochetting from the bar/posts? (I guess that might be because your accuracy is quite good, especially top right it was impressive!)
Thanks they helped alot
im gonna try today at my game thanks u are beast at hockey
Good job bro. You've earned a subscribe
you got a crazy shot man, love the videos
@Swizzy I'm 24 and live in a small town, so I play in a men's league. In the winter I play whenever I can, especially on lakes and ponds :D

7:05 puck rolls off your patio.
Aahhah Yea
😂😂yea I saw it
I just subscribed awesome vid
thanks for the tips now i can slapshot even better :)
I'd kill to shoot like you! Just moved from a Zetterberg EQ30 85 flex to a Richards TotalONE 102 flex...still need to adjust.
Ah nice! I am all the way over in the UK you think they'll ship out here plus would it be worth getting it through customs? Cheers man
killing the game in flip flops son!
Nice set of golf clubs.
its probably been said in the comments before but i cant see it, but what are you using as an alternative to ice there so you can practice out side? thanks!
Thank you! I just started hockey, and was taking some practice slapshots and I couldn't get them to raise up.
first learn how to do a well wrist shot including backhand
dont even think of slappers before wristers
I have the same shooting pad as you from hockeyshot. Just wondering if you notice any wear and tear on your pad after taking so many shots? Do you ever have to replace them?
do you use the same stick for practice as you do in games? I ask because of the height difference between being on skates and not.
@khman4 We have a few videos on this. One is called How to Improve your Slapshot Technique, and the other is called Slapshot Tips
Nice video
Thx! but it is always different and harder to place your feet and go forward and shoot like this when you are wearing blades or skates.
thanks
hey, where can i find some of that white sheet stuff u always use, is it like fake ice or something??
Great stuff my fav shot was @8:34 even though with my screen name i would be saying upper corner =)
@thealphagn I got mine all for free during the winter. There is an outdoor rink near where I live and when the snow melted I walked around and picked up all the pucks. For you I would recommend asking the guys that work at the rink, I used to be a rink rat and we had a tonne of pucks in the back, the guys would let me keep any I found when cleaning, offer them $10 for 20 pucks and maybe they will just say here take them for free, either way you get a deal!
Where did you get that white mat thing??? I need that in my garden
@manimanus generally the toe of the blade.. that way if you are hitting 4-6 inches behind the puck getting the flex you want.. it will automatically flatten the stick so that the blade is flat on the ice by the time it contacts the puck
I'm the same way, I can put a wrister anywhere, and I can deflect anything, but taking a decent slapshot is the moon to me.
It's a hockey shooting pad from Hockey Shot. If you visit our website we have a review and a $10 off coupon code. I like the roll-up shooting pad the best because it gives you a lot more room to practice and shoot
you should tell people to practice shooting on the sides about halfway up the net because in a game, that would go between the goalies pads and glove
Thanks, great vid! Would be cool to see some slomo.
Did you nail the last shot "bar down" at the first take or did you make some takes?!?!
Nice shots =)
hi, im still having trouble lifting the puck. i follow through high but the puck is still on the ground. do i have to snap my wrist like in the wrist n snap shot?
its because when you're on ice you're most likely not pushing much with your legs to transfer the weight cause you're sliding a lot. when you're on the pavement your feet grip the ground and you can easily push your whole body forward so practice transferring your weight
Hey Jeremy I'm having some trouble getting the puck in the air while taking a slap shot moving or not. Any pointers? I can get the puck off the ground when taking wrist shots and snap shots moving or not. I've watched your video on technique but still no luck. Please help.
For a harder shot would a straighter curve like the zetterberg pattern do better than a bigger curve like the Sakic?
What stick are you using? I know ur using an rs in some. What kind of Easton is that?
thats a really nice place to shoot around
Thanks for this vid i was sturggling with my slapshots, I'll try out these tips tomorrow at practice.
I have a skillpad and a net but only 1 puck. It gets really annoying going to get the puck after every shot. I was wondering where do you get all your pucks, did you just buy them? If so where from? thanks.
I get all of my pucks at Play it Again Sports. They are only about a dollar each
Can you use this in roller hockey?
"just below the crossbar baby!" hahaha, very nice shots
Hockey Canada WHOO!!
what type of stick are you using in this video?
Is it easier to slap shot with a composite blade, wood blade, or ABS blade?
question where should the stick hit the pucks? blade or toe?
This guy should be in NHL
loving how u use wooden sticks to take slapshots with, dont wanna break the expensive ones! thats what i do
@xitzgrimx For the hardest shot you need great form, then the proper flex on your stick, and then I would start worrying about the curve of your stick. Typically people who take a lot of slapshots do prefer a straighter curve (heel curves) but I wouldn't say it will make a noticeable difference in power. Work on your form, transferring your weight, and using your legs and core muscles. We have a bunch of videos on slapshot power. Try a flatter curve and if you like it, keep it!
i got the same gloves as you bauer vapor xvi
Does closing the blade on a low shot kick it to the left?
I have a small curve so it it really hard for me to lift my slpashot. Even if i open the blade the highest i can go is the middle of the net
damm really impressive bro so accurate
whats the distance between the net and the blue line ?
Just below the crossbar, baby! Beauty shot eh?
Say your Skating on a break away from the right side is it possible to take a top right slap shot?
I’ve watched you for over a year now and now I just realized you kinda looks like ovi
How is this platform called?
What your training board?
LOL 6:57 that puck had enough :D
I bet your yard is littered with pucks lol
head up!
Very interesting to see him before he had some confidence, he looks more mature and overall just a better coach and person.
,, Hello there! Will you please what measures teflon table ?, live in madrid Spain and I'm trying to get a table but can not find teflon but I would like to know the thickness, length and width of the table to buy a teflon, in some factory or store. THANK YOU FOR YOUR WONDERFUL ATTENTION
I know this may be a stupid question , but basically do you slam the stick against the ground before it hits the puck to create this "flex" ? I played for the first time the other day and noticed I had no power nor control at all with shooting. I notice though I was trying to hit the puck only without hitting the ground since I was scared this would damage or break the stick. in all your vids you and others hit the stick against the floor which created that slingshot effect as I call it , correct ?
mario pena yes you are correct
mario pena you should hit the ice before the puck but don’t lose your power hitting the ice. Try to sweep the ice up to the puck. Just don’t chop the ice. But don’t take my word for it cause I’m only a peewee hockey player🤣😂
thanks little bro :).
Is that is pro shooting pad? Plz reply thinking of getting one
Oliver Chen ya
just buy a 12 dollar 4x8 white panelboard from your local improvement store and spray it with some lubricant, works like a charm and is pretty durable. i currently practice on one when i'm not playing
Can't second that enough. Especially if you've got a truck to place it in.
That puck though
7:00 the puck was tired of his abuse.
