@@yarn7733 Nah, I think they should stick to specific dates like the other updates did, snowmen and ice furniture are already a thing included in the game at launch like how the pink tree thing was as well.
Fun Fact: *The actual first person is GetMadz, and the second person probably doesn't comment right away.* I know that some people mean that they are first to comment, but it's different sometimes.
The thing is, if you actually feel like the way ur playing is wrong, or, your island isnt as good as the ones that are 5 stars that u saw in youtube, or you have no idea on how to do terraforming correctly, or you try to rush to get things done because you don't wanna feel "left out" kinda of, then, you'll experience burnout very soon. Im not saying in general tho, many people like to have their own play style, and, decide to play only 1-2 hours per day, which is pretty good actually, those who like to time travel, and, obviously, those who play 5+ hours daily, and dont feel burn out yet. But, what makes it "worst" kind of, is the villager dialogue, and the fact that, they're adding many features that should've been in game since day 1. Which doesnt make me surprised at all, since the game got delayed to this year, they prob were feeling like the game wasn't ready yet, and if even after getting delayed, it still feels undone, well, imagine if it wasnt. I honestly miss everything that this game lacks in.. Like, getting yelled by Resetti because my DS crashed for no reason and i didnt saved my game, going to the LOL club, the café, having Kicks' own store, i just miss tons of features honestly. We all hope they're fixing them soon tho. (Ps: im not saying that New Horizon's bad! But as someone that played many old AC games, I just think they can still make it way better, starting by the fact that they didnt fully add everything from previous games)
Yesss, all of the villigers feel like NPC's no matter what personality type you have, all of them just repeat themselves with he same boring dialog. I feel like game just came in the wrong moment. Like yes it wasn't finished yet. Or they were just thinking a bit different from what the fans do (in terms of adding already existing things as updates)
I have played for hours upon hours upon hours and I still can't please Isabelle and my villagers don't say much and I can only play on weekends so I play for hours on those days and I'm addicted to clothes, I haven't played off my debts, Isabelle is complaining about trees but they look fine to me. What am I doing wrong?!?
I’ve only played 4 animal crossing games and new horizons is at the bottom of my favourite list, because how booooooorrrrrrriiiiiiiinnnnnnng the villagers are like geeeezzz the reason I love animal crossing is the villagers, that’s why I enjoyed wild world and new leaf so much a and the wii one, but on new horizons I haven’t made a special connection with any of the villagers like I did with Whitney on wild world, Hugh on the wii and Lobo on new leaf, but instead I got cutie henry on my island being like oh boy I lobe this thing you can do in the game, MAKE THE VILLAGERS FUN AGAIN PLEASE!!!!!
Yeah, 4 months later and that still haven’t fixed the redd glitches, oh no, but why would I need him, my sister is the one that talked to him the second time and now he’ll only show up for her, and she doesn’t even play, and now I cang buy art and AGHHHHHHHHHH
I think New Horizons is a bit lackluster for returning players once they have reached the credits. When the game first came out, the player was constantly making progress by gaining tools, furniture, DIYs, new villagers and accessing more of the island. However, once they’ve seen it all, the game loses some of it’s surprises, it becomes really uninteresting and the flaws start to become apparent. For example, many of the new features aren’t too interesting, like terraforming and crafting, which are both extremely slow processes. And many features from previous games, rather than being expanded upon, have been completed removed! By slowly releasing content over time, it looks like they are just patching an unfinished game up, which can leave a sour impression on some players and cause them to be disinterested way sooner than in previous titles.
This is really true, I loved the game for like the first 2 months but then I got so bored because the game felt so unfinished, now I just play new leaf instead.
@@bort3624 New Leaf is so much better than New Horizons. There is way more ti do and you can't finish it all in a few weeks. A lot of the issues with New Horizons aren't present in New Leaf.
It’s not just that the features were removed either. They ARE coming back, but we have to wait for them, which takes up development time that could’ve been used to make new horizons more unique. What’s even worse is that many of the returning features are worse than they were in new leaf too. Dream suite no longer supports random dream hopping, I’m pretty sure swimming felt faster in NL, and when we finally get Nintendo items again, it’ll only be Mario stuff (at least at first)
I got my switch during quarantine and got botw and acnh at the same time but I decided to play botw first and finished around the time the ac hype started to die down so then when I started getting into it, the community wasn’t as big and I wasn’t as inspired:( so yeah now I really want botw2 lol
Tell me about it. Actually, it would be awesome if instead of flying to a random island, you'd also get the option to fly to a city/plaza area, similar to City Folk and HHD. Where you can shop for certain special clothes, diy, furniture sets etc, as well as interacting with other villagers in the City. Although I think villager hunting should be left for random islands instead of the City but hey that's just me.
We honestly need more buildings and upgrades. There are only 3 in New Horizons, while there were more than double that in New Leaf. It doesnt help that most shops like Shampoodle or Dream Suite were streamlined characters like Leif, Reese, and Cyrus were used for other things. With that there is considerably less to do on your island, and less content overall, which doesn't help with burnout. Theres still hope for the Police Station or the Fortune shop, but how they handled the other opportunities, I doubt it.
I ended up taking a break for a good 3 weeks and after that I feel refreshed for animal crossing. Do that if you feel burned out. Breaks are always good! Even in games
There’s literally nothing left for me to do on my island what more is there? I have five stars, almost 1000 hours, all dream villagers, 500 million bells, most of the clothing and items, Criterpedia filled up, & A whole big collection of DIY‘s. The only time I come back is if they add something new in which in the next couple days that the new update releases I have all the items and it’s just on repeat... i’m definitely burnt out, although I really want the Nintendo items to return!!!
@@Sonic_Beyond then stop complaining. You beat the game if you don't want to try new things with your island. Sounds harsh but if you don't want to reset and try remodeling with differnt themes then there is nothing left for you to do.
For me, animal crossing is like Sims - you either dip down like crazy or don't play it much at all. I personally think one of the problems is that there's really no where to go with the game. Now lemme explain before I get my head chopped off xD Like, of course you have to set your own goals in animal crossing, like building a nice outdoor cafe or planning to build jail bars around all your villager houses -not that i would know about that one-. But while you get showered with new "quests" and other goals in the beginning like find a spot, craft furniture for someone to move in, unlock KJ.K., GIVE ME ALL YOUR IRON OR ELSE- for mid- and lategame players there is just... nuthin. That's something even seasonal updates can't solve, a core gameplay issue that is made worse by the fact that your villagers are MUCH less important than in previous instalments from a gameplay perspective. How many times do you see villagers eye a bug to catch, and then don't do it? What if they actually caught it, and YOU the player got to ask if you could buy it? Lemme give some wishful ideas: What if, when you befriend animals, they actually drop clearer hints on what stuff they like. If you befriend them enough, and give them 3 gifts they genuinely love, they might actually ask you for help with their home decor? The game randomly generates a list of 5 crafteable items the villager wants. Maybe it's seasonally themed, like they want to decorate home for halloween. By obtaining 3 of these items, you can start redecorating their home. They tell you about some items they won't let you take away because they might be attached to them. You get a few days in which, lessay the villager crashes at your place, so you have time to order extra furniture. While they are at your place, you can talk to them, and maybe settle on a style or colour they like together - like you actually have to TALK to them. And besides redecorating your villagers houses, if they're happy you get rewarded with a good amount of bells (99k), or a really expensive item (you get to choose from 3), or choose from 5 items you haven't catalogued yet, or choose to get a picture. Of course it gets time to get there, and might be frustrating if the villagers don't initiate it when you want them to, but that just makes it more rewarding when they do! Since it's a long process, it's not OP, and it makes crafting and customising items more important. Maybe unlock the ability to build tiny islands around your island, or get a nearby smaller island you can travel to to try design ideas and also upload dreams. Maybe that island can only hold 3 additional villagers, and is roughly a third or less of your main island. Unlocking that island will require a whole bunch of materials, cuz it's an artificial island like land gaining and stuff. Maybe you have to clean it and the ocean around it of trash first before you can really terraform around. Maybe you can't use island hopping to get villagers to move there, it's purely random since it's only 3 anyways. You can also use it as orchard for the coming veggies and stuff, so you can shape your main island without it being 25% orchard. Be able to go clothes-shopping together with a villager! When a jock asks for patrol jogs have him stick around for a while, or do some hardcore muscle training clam digging and let him help! When Marshal asks me to read his Autobiography at least give me the option to say YES and critique the hecc out of it. Mabye sell it at the store for one day or make him send you a copy per mail, and you're able to put that book down as an item and laugh at the silly shizz you wrote in that thing. There's already a composing mechanic in animal crossing, lemme go to my peppy and compose them a song, if multiple peppies exist maybe even overlapping melodies, and assign some other villagers as instrumentalists and choose the instruments. Let them HAVE some of that glam they crave. Basically what I'm trying to say is, don't only add seasonal events that result in collecting whatever you get there and never be interested again. Add a bunch of new goals, some longer lasting game mechanics. At least that's what I feel like, but what stuff would you guys add if you could? :D
Yeah that’s me. I feel like I’ve burnt out. I’ve not even finished my museum. But I finished my island within a month and got most of all my dream villagers. I personally don’t find fishing or catching bugs or collecting the catalogue items fun. So I’m kinda bored of it. Since I bought a switch for quarantine. I got botw. And ya know. I’m obsessssed. So for now. I’m putting animal crossing away. But I’ll still come back to it.
They should have let people have more than one island. It was Nintendos pure GREED making people bug separate copies of the game and separate switched JUST to have ONE island. Having more than one would have let people express their creativity, have differet themes...and when you get bored of one, you can move to the next....but they wanted to stuff their pockets. They could AT LEAST make it a final update....allowing people to open other islands....but they won't.
The lack of characters did it for me... including villager dialogue... like sure Redd is a COOL idea for the fireworks but why not a character like Phineas?!?!
Pumpkins give me a good drive to redesign my island and try to get all those themed things. Me, personally, think they did well in this recent update. I do hope there is trick-or-treating though
Snowball fights and summer volley ball matches between friends and/or villagers have been something I’ve been asking for. I would also like Brewster to come back as a new building adding a new part time job for you and your villagers; maybe the rumored cooking mechanic can make us have to fill up a menu like a secondary museum to expand the shop. I agree, the updates being features in prior games make them fun revisits but I drop off again that same week. Bring back gyroids at least, so that I can dig something that isn’t a fossil up. Lastly, please let us connect cliff sides with bridges Nintendo, please.
0:35 - It kills me that the purple and orange pair are on the wrong sides, because it reminds me of how irritating Nintendo is about JoyCon colors In that it loves to just release these mismatched pairs, and then _never_ release an inverted pair, or just a full pair of a single color Unless you're a fan of green, of course, then lucky you
I just want two purple JoyCons, darn it, but the only way I can pull that off is with the left one from the purple and orange pair, and the right one from the Skyward Sword pair And that doesn't even work good because the Skyward Sword one has a bit of gold decoration since it's supposed to be all Zelda-y [or more specifically, like the Master Sword], and it just makes the left one, a standard neon one, feel...naked
Go to google and type nookazon it’s like the tradeing place of animal crossing you can trade Furniture items villagers you could do work for people like pick up weed there’s more to it I just can’t remember
Whenever I think of animal crossing, I always think of the museum. For that is the best part, yet it has been unchanged since new leaf and the deep sea. I think there should be more museum exhibits. Maybe plants, so we have more of a reward for breeding flowers. Or what about some small animals or rodents? It would be a little weird, but we do know that real owls and owls like blathers both exist in animal crossing. A zoo would be really cool. I mean dinosaurs and ordinary mammals exist as fossils. There is even a human ancestor's skull. Maybe the animals are that are in animal crossing are just highly evolved. Anyway I got way off track, the point is add more stuff in the museum!
I can't wait for the october update, it was always so fun and Jack is one of my most favorite characters from the series. Also, i'm not the sort of person that puts the game down. I love it.
Same! when it was quarantine i played for sooo long. but when school started even if i dont have homework that day i didnt feel like playing and watched tiktok instead, and when i do open it up i play for 5 minutes and drop it.
I never got burnout on nl. It had all the features and stuff. And idk, it just had that life vibe that nh is missing. I was addicted to nh at launch but honestly im bored
I’m at the point where I play new horizons every day but I’m getting board. I’m only playing to earn money and it just makes the game seem like a chore and not fun by forcing myself to play
New leaf encourages me to come back because I actually care about my villagers. I've been trying really hard to finish my island on new horizons, and once it's done I'm never picking up the game again, I can solidify that, and the reason why is based on the villagers. The villagers in the new game have nothing for you to do, and even when you're super close with them, they still act like they are disgusted with your presence if you talk to them more than once. They have nothing for you to do, no reason to care about them, no reason to spend time and have fun with them. They rarely ask me to do chores for them, and it feels so impersonal, in new leaf it feels like I'm going out my way to do something. I preferred it when you could talk to a villager at any point and they will give you something to do. Now you have to wait for them to be thinking if you wanna even try to help them. I feel pretty lonely on my new horizons island, and yea it's fun making the island pretty, but once your done there's nothing else.
Honestly, I'm sorta the reverse, it feels like the villagers are.. TOO amazed at your presence all the time, unlike in City Folk and older, where they just acted like you were just another villager. And, while I do feel that way, I do feel like the "amazement" is, kinda like you said, half-hearted. There's some good dialogue, but, it just doesn't feel the same as trying to make friends with a random villager that probably doesn't even know you.
The art I'm most proud of is what's on Orville's computer screen

Well.... NH is my first animal crossing game so it feels different to me

It seems that nintendo cares only about northern Hemisphere

I hate it too that the villagers are like... well you ‘collect’ them based on their looks and not their personality. That’s kinda sad

@@flockstep how good is nl compared to nh?

@@bort3624 New Leaf is so much better than New Horizons. There is way more ti do and you can't finish it all in a few weeks. A lot of the issues with New Horizons aren't present in New Leaf.
And imagine if NH came out in 2019 like it was going to...
We needed another delay.

@@mateox1364 That would be awesome or like in New leaf a place where you could do tours and whatnot.

Me: here's your scallop

Madz: (*shows mario items*) Can we have these back please?
Acnh: Your wish is my command
For me, animal crossing is like Sims - you either dip down like crazy or don't play it much at all. I personally think one of the problems is that there's really no where to go with the game.
Now lemme explain before I get my head chopped off xD
Like, of course you have to set your own goals in animal crossing, like building a nice outdoor cafe or planning to build jail bars around all your villager houses -not that i would know about that one-.
But while you get showered with new "quests" and other goals in the beginning like find a spot, craft furniture for someone to move in, unlock KJ.K., GIVE ME ALL YOUR IRON OR ELSE-
for mid- and lategame players there is just...
Lemme give some wishful ideas:
What if, when you befriend animals, they actually drop clearer hints on what stuff they like.
Coming back to this video nowadays gives me”GoonVille” a whole nother meaning… 💀
Last time it was "300 hours in animal crossing!" Now its 400 hours. "YOUR INSANE JARVIS!"

So for now. I’m putting animal crossing away. But I’ll still come back to it.
Madz: There isn’t any new games coming out this year
Nintendo: know my power
They should have let people have more than one island. It was Nintendos pure GREED making people bug separate copies of the game and separate switched JUST to have ONE island. Having more than one would have let people express their creativity, have differet themes...and when you get bored of one, you can move to the next....but they wanted to stuff their pockets. They could AT LEAST make it a final update....allowing people to open other islands....but they won't.
I swear they watch this video because everything (almost everything) in this video was added

Pumpkins give me a good drive to redesign my island and try to get all those themed things. Me, personally, think they did well in this recent update.
I do hope there is trick-or-treating though
2:20 haha fire alarm low battery sound
Snowball fights and summer volley ball matches between friends and/or villagers have been something I’ve been asking for. I would also like Brewster to come back as a new building adding a new part time job for you and your villagers; maybe the rumored cooking mechanic can make us have to fill up a menu like a secondary museum to expand the shop. I agree, the updates being features in prior games make them fun revisits but I drop off again that same week. Bring back gyroids at least, so that I can dig something that isn’t a fossil up. Lastly, please let us connect cliff sides with bridges Nintendo, please.
I got really happy when I saw Phil 8:04
Whoever put that in, thank you
0:35 - It kills me that the purple and orange pair are on the wrong sides, because it reminds me of how irritating Nintendo is about JoyCon colors
In that it loves to just release these mismatched pairs, and then _never_ release an inverted pair, or just a full pair of a single color
Unless you're a fan of green, of course, then lucky you
I just want two purple JoyCons, darn it, but the only way I can pull that off is with the left one from the purple and orange pair, and the right one from the Skyward Sword pair
And that doesn't even work good because the Skyward Sword one has a bit of gold decoration since it's supposed to be all Zelda-y [or more specifically, like the Master Sword], and it just makes the left one, a standard neon one, feel...naked

I love it.

Yeah I never really burn out with those games unlike new horizons
I never got burnout on nl. It had all the features and stuff. And idk, it just had that life vibe that nh is missing. I was addicted to nh at launch but honestly im bored
I’m at the point where I play new horizons every day but I’m getting board. I’m only playing to earn money and it just makes the game seem like a chore and not fun by forcing myself to play
Looks like you got the Mario items you wanted so much
The fact that you put Zelda music in your videos is honestly probably half the reason I watch you LOLL
Lol you’re the reason why I got into animal crossing😂
