Also, I agree to an extent. One of the most underrated elements of Goku is his lack of proper etiquette because of his upbringing. He has little moments where it becomes obvious he was raised in the wilderness. Goku going full on feral and biting the enemy like a dog reminds me that, even as an adult, he’s still the same weird little kid Bulma ran into in the woods in the first episode.
I love how Goku suddenly decided to just start biting people. Like obviously it started as "oh no I'm gonna die if I don't do something!" to "you know what? CHOMP"
It's such an unexpected move that none of Goku's opponents ever see it coming (even Whis with his UI) and its purpose is not to deal damage, but usually to break a hold or as a surprise attack. Remember that while Goku's an idiot in most situations, he's an absolute genius when it comes to combat - not in the analytical sense, but in that he's capable of thinking on his feet and coming up with solutions on the spot, especially when under pressure.
“My goodness, is nothing beneath you?” Goku is considered a low-class warrior to the saiyans, the lowest of the low in terms of being a warrior. so technically, there is literally nothing beneath Goku
Well to be fair, if a guy is punching and kicking me in a fight, I already expected that to happen. But if he blocks my haymaker just to pull me in by my wrist and fucking take a chomp at my arm instead of literally doing anything else that would be more effective at shutting my body down like a liver shot, I'd be pretty fucking bamboozled too.
Goku doesn't think poorly of whatever tactic or technique you use while fighting him. "Fair fight" in his mind just means that you shouldn't harm innocents, things like holding hostages or using an attack that would destroy the planet (if it has inhabitants).
Goku’s idea of a fair fight is: Both fighters KNOW the fight is happening, both fighters have access to their FULL power, both fighters are WILLING to fight. He doesn’t care about the tactics used.
I love that his bite is basically his trump card. Dudes out here can use energy blasts but the moment Goku uses this move, his opponent is completely caught off guard
I don't know what's more scary, the fact Goku's arm is perfectly fine after being bitten by Kid Buu, or the fact Goku makes Kid Buu cry out in pain from biting him....
He really should’ve, but he wanted to watch Goku suffer up close and personal again, and he paid the price for letting his sadistic nature influence his decisions… again.
Yeah. You'd think that Frieza would've learned from the first time Goku bit him, but clearly torturing Goku before killing him was all he could think about. 😂 0:40-0:48 and 1:06-1:09
"Yes, I see it now...Kakarot really is a great warrior. Perhaps even the best. His power and skill know no bounds. Truly, he has mastered the art of -" _Goku gnawing Buu's head in the background_
I was the youngest of 4, and bite + scratch were my go to fight moves. My punches and kicks dig negative damage, just made me more tired and vulnerable. Though my most powerful move was screech. Besides being mostly unlockable and usable from a distance, it had the chance to summon an adult, which resulted in an insta win or draw.
Just like the rest of him, his muscle density and training makes his jaw muscles and teeth pack quite a punch. Being able to bite down hard enough to hurt Frieza is nuts.
So this is what we are calling Goku eating the entire family dinner? 'Training'. "Chichi you got to believe me. Your enslavement to our oven is for a good cause."
To be fair, UI isn't exactly a power boosting form, it's similar to unleashed potential Gohan has, it clears the body's limits allowing them to fight a lot more effectively, but they're not really getting stronger in a sense. Also when your punch can split a mountain in half, your Jaw's going to crush pure metal...
@@vegetalover9297 it's not nessicarily a power boost (kinda is) but it's unleashes the users full potential and mind into both perfect offense and defense, they can perform at their very best and react inhumanly, but it's pretty much the same power as his base (remember goku alone is still VERY strong and all of his UI attacks catch his opponents off guard). Anyone can learn this technique, it's a form of perfect mastery over one's mind, body and soul, it does not give power, yet makes one more powerful too.

I love how biting is more effective than hitting people with melee attacks that shake planets or laser beams that can incinerate anything unlucky to be in the way.
Also hilarious how it can be even more effective than stabbing. If you fight with a sword/knife, your enemy knows the risk of being pierced. They never expect it if you just straight out bite them. XD It may do less damage, but it'll always catch them more off-guard.
yeah because his biting muscles are somehow not on the same scale as his other muscles? can you imagine how bad a bite would hurt from somebody who can shake a planet with a punch? You're arguing against your own point.

0:57 I think this was when Goku decided to stop saving it for last resorts and just started using it as a move, cause he very clearly had several other ways to handle Buu there, but purely out of spite for having been bitten first, he decides to just chomp on his head and ever since had no hesitation when using his teeth. Good job Kid Buu, Goku biting people is on you, I hope you’re proud of yourself.
Fun Fact: a regular human bite is around 130-200 PSI (pound per square inch) of pressure. On top of the fact we bite normally with our incisors- which are made for tearing off small pieces, it certainly can give a very nasty pinch or bruise, possibly even with blood. But if we managed to bite with our molars, it would crush and destroy whatever we bit. Imagine how hard Goku must bite….
I was honestly surprised Goku didn't gave Toppo a bite when he fought during the preliminaries before the tournament of power. It makes sense not to bite someone who has gloves on, but it would still work given how deep his bites are (Given how deep Goku marked Whis and how he held on to Piccolo's thumb).

I wouldn’t even call it fighting dirty I would call it a last resort
One of the most underrated elements of Goku is his lack of proper etiquette because of his upbringing. He has little moments where it becomes obvious he was raised in the wilderness. Goku going full on feral and biting the enemy like a dog reminds me that, even as an adult, he’s still the same weird little kid Bulma ran into in the woods in the first episode.
He's a monkey

It's such an unexpected move that none of Goku's opponents ever see it coming (even Whis with his UI) and its purpose is not to deal damage, but usually to break a hold or as a surprise attack. Remember that while Goku's an idiot in most situations, he's an absolute genius when it comes to combat - not in the analytical sense, but in that he's capable of thinking on his feet and coming up with solutions on the spot, especially when under pressure.

But if he blocks my haymaker just to pull me in by my wrist and fucking take a chomp at my arm instead of literally doing anything else that would be more effective at shutting my body down like a liver shot, I'd be pretty fucking bamboozled too.

I love that Goku always makes a big deal about fighting fair but as soon as he’s losing he just starts biting people
Goku doesn't think poorly of whatever tactic or technique you use while fighting him.
Just don't put him in a hold... That prompts him to bite...
this comment is a good example that some people misinterpret the most obvious things
Biting in a fight is entirely fair. Hell, if it's for actual survival, ANYTHING in a fight is fair.
