    Thank you for your tutorials. You really helped me learn to crochet and I want you to know what a precious gift that is. I am disabled (I have PTSD and seizures) and I'm housebound. Crocheting is allowing me to do something productive and useful which is making me feel like there is a point to my life again. I am making a bunch of squares at the moment for an amazing charity called "Woolly Hugs" that make blankets for the homeless, for refugees, sick children and so many more people in need. I've also made a blanket for my Husband (there is no greater feeling than seeing him snuggled up safe and warm in a blanket I made), stuff for my Mum and useful stuff for my home. I just wanted you to know that this gift you share with all of us is being spread and is making people's lives better. Even though I don't know you, you have made such a difference to my life and I am so grateful!

      I have epilepsy and depression. Art and Crocheting are quite therapeutic. Arts are a wonderful way to feel good about yourself, helping others as well. Thank you for your comment Tim.

      Iam with you. I've been crocheting since I was 17. I just retired from work. I have stress issues and epilepsy. Crocheting helps me relax and stay focus.. I Am 62 years old. I have made so many afghans with different stitches and applique. It keeps me busy. I learned to do s rectangle blanket that was fun. Jayda your videos are easy to follow and fun to create new projects.

    This square is so happy! I was given a garden bench that needed cheering up. I saw this and decided to make 6 of them using a large hook. Then crocheted a long rectangle piece. Crocheted the two pieces together kind of how you did the granny square chair cushions and added ties. The sad old bench is now the sunniest happy spot in the yard. Your patterns really get my imagination going, thank you so much!!! 🌻🌻🌻

      Ordered the yarn for it yesterday. Am doing a coffee brown for the center, lemon yellow, and I had about 10 skeins in my stash of variegated green for the leaf part. and a oatmeal fleck yarn for the border. When it comes in and I get a few put together will have my daughter snap a picture of one of the squares for you.. and btw, I loved your mouse so much had to make a pink one for me this morning.. lol.. added a little lavender oil to the fluff, it looks and smells so cute.. lol

    Just made this gorgeous square and posted a picture on Google+. Instead of using green I used blue to make it looks as if it had grown into the sky. If you wanted to make a blanket put of these you could do one square with green and one square with blue. just an idea. wouldn't it be good if you made a square with a character in the middle like you have done with the sunflower. I love your channle so much😘😘😘❤❤❤

    Hey Jayda! I know this is not about the video at all, but I was wanting to give a suggestion that would benefit all of us that crochet and knit. The suggestion is hand exercises and stretches that can be done to help prevent or soothe carpal tunnel and aching hands.Much Love! =)

      +The FrankenBride Hi! You are so right! I've talked about this once or twice in my blog, and I've considered doing a video about it because pausing and stretching (no matter WHAT activity we're up to) is SO important!! :)

    Love love love this sunflower pattern... sunflowers are my fave flower! You've gotten me interested in crocheting again, not sure if that's good or bad since it's been many many years and I no longer have a stash. Ever since I saw your video for the double strand granny square I've been purchasing a variety of yarns... have to start somewhere, right!! Do you have any other "flower" patterns in addition to this beautiful sunflower (I haven't looked yet)? I'm thinking a garden afghan! Wouldn't that just be beautiful? I realize I could make the sunflower pattern in various colors but thinking tulips, roses, daisies, iris...... Thank you once again.

      Hi Deb! Welcome back to crochet 😁 We've made several flower tutorials (some are appliques, some are different shaped motifs) and we do have one other specific flower square here: ruclips.net/video/EqcSMXlEsHs/видео.html

    Hi Jayda that was great. I love sunflowers. Grew them once and I could see them from far away from my house. Slugs got them last year but I'd love to make a blanket of these. I was wondering if the cluster stitch could be applied to the treble crochet stitches so as to make a taller petal?

    • @JaydaInStitches
      @JaydaInStitches  4 года назад

      Hi Adrienne, rabbits got our sunflowers! * giggle * You should give the tc bobble stitch idea a try, it would make for taller petals :)

    I love all of your tutorials. You make it seem so simple.
    Would you be able to do a daisy granny square tutorial or do you think this pattern could be used and adapted by alternating colours in the centre?

    • @JaydaInStitches
      @JaydaInStitches  8 лет назад +1

      Hi Dani, I love the daisy square :) This pattern definitely can look like different flowers by changing the colours, but it might fall short of a daisy. I'll certainly consider doing a daisy-centred square tutorial, thank you for the suggestion!

      +Jayda InStitches you're awesome. I only recently started crocheting after many years and it was your tutorials that made it click for me as I'd forgotten everything my mum had taught me thirty years ago. Now I'm making a granny square blanket for each of my kids.
