  • "We do not have the strength to fight both Mordor and Isengard!"
    Oh I think you'll find you do indeed Mr Elrond!
    We're back with another painting tutorial today and finally bringing you the much asked for and long anticipated High Elf Painting Tutorial.
    These are some of, if not THE oldest miniatures in the Middle Earth range since its inception and still to this day bring heaps of character and visual appeal to a fully armoured Elf army on the tabletop!
    We'll be showing you how to create a really effective and natural look to the gold armour through recessed shading and glazes along with tying everything together with really natural browns and ethereal, regal blues.
    Next week we'll have the new Razgush model for you, another big orc hero to fill out the ranks but until then we hope you enjoy and as always...
    Happy Hobbying!!

    Such vivid colors, awesome job! Would you ever do a video for the High Elf spearmen?

    • @PlanetMithril
      @PlanetMithril  2 года назад

      The elf spearman probably wont be for a while becuasde the paint scheme is pretty similar, we may explore alternative elf schemes using spearmen in the future though

    You use the method from in to out painting. I do the other, from out to in.
    Your video is awesome by the way!
    One suggestion, unless they pay your for promotion. Dont use citadel, they are not good, use better Vallejo, they hold longer, are cheaper and are very good for miniatures (metal and plastic) also about the eyes, the reptil eyes method is very bad, I know its easier. Your wash tecnique is very very good.
    Hugs from Spain :)

      Thank you so much for your kind words! :) Means a lot for the feedback.
      We do have the vallejo and scale 75 range however feedback at the time was to try and keep GW models with citadel paints for ease of convenience, happy to explore other paints with GW models in the fullness of time though.
      I hope you enjoy the content and again, thank you for your kind words! Hugs back to Spain from UK! :)

    Hi guy!
    Really good job! I think your videos are really cool when you start painting after 20 years ^^
    Just a question : will you paint the elf with bow?
    Thanks for your videos again!

      @PlanetMithril  2 года назад +1

      Thank you so much!! I will probably at some point but the elf bows wont be for a while now this video is out, however you can use this scheme on the majority of elf units from the range :)

    Great work on armour and leather but that blue should be far more darker on my opinion (macragge maybe?), Anyway great work overall
