    I‘m subscribed to a dozen big mini painters here on youtube and I have to say this video is by far the BEST when it comes to painting NMM - especially when just starting out giving nmm a try. Great work!

    While I generally like shorter videos (it's just easier to find time to watch them, not that I don't like the long ones :-) ), I love to watch such a detailed, no-cut materials about certain topic / technique once in a while, so please keep them coming! And if that wasn't already obvious from other comments - your level of painting is amazing,
    Also, your Patreon link in the description has a typo in it (missing "r").

    Curious why you rinse the brush everytime you go to add more color even if it is the same color. Is it so you have a consistent amount each time. I tend to only wash when i want to change color.

    • @ArgoArgus
      @ArgoArgus 2 года назад

      I see there are no replies on this comment, but it is good habit to rinse your brush before any of the paint has a chance to settle, it keeps your bristles healthy and ensures that your paint always flows in a consistent manner, any amount of microscopic dry paint is very bad for the brush and also hinders paint flow.

    Thanks for this video. I think I will try blocking my highlights in my next mini! What was the name of the item you use to mix paints? A cone shaper?

    • @FlameonMiniatures

      A color or a clay shaper. I was never sure what the clerk was saying :D

    It's insane that this is ur version of a rough blend! 😱🤯 Was the helmet fully blended on screen or did u touch it up and push it further off camera?

    • @r1ck5m1th

      At around 1:18:15

    • @FlameonMiniatures
      @FlameonMiniatures  3 года назад +1

      @@r1ck5m1th I sometimes make things of the camera in order to save some time. I do it when I already presented the technique and I'm pretty sure that it is explained and presented enough. If I would record everything than my video tutorials would be not 2 but 4 hours long :D

    • @r1ck5m1th
      @r1ck5m1th 3 года назад

      Thanks for the reply. I fully understand you've got to cut thinks out. I love your videos because you do actually seem to show every single brush stroke for a particular technique 😁 at the point I linked, you say "now let me blend more off camera". At that point the helmet looks stupidly amazing! And I was just genuinely interested to know if u did any more on it or if it's exactly as was before the cut. Either way it's phenomenal blending! Thought it had to be oils when I first saw it!!
