I appreciate that this is done in a more cartoon sorta way, no really need to actually blend all of the transitions... however, I really felt like I wanted to see them blended, and so I was happy to see that there was some blending at 14:06 :) Thanks again.

    If you do more NMM guides, could I ask it be on models that are a little more tricky - they either have more irregular shapes or they don't have a large surface area to paint on (e.g. Necrons, Eldar, Imperial Guard etc).

    Hi Juan, may I ask you two questions: do you use some kind of a glaze medium or lahmian medium from citadel for the different layers or just water thinned paints? What is the ratio of water and scrofulous brown for the first layer? It looks so damn smooth when you paint and you have total control of the thinned paint…and when I try to use thinned paints, either I have too much tinned paint inside the brush and when I stopped painting a drop of thinned paint runs down to the area causing a coffee stain or too less 😉. Thank you 😊

    • @JuanHidalgoMiniatures
      @JuanHidalgoMiniatures  4 месяца назад +1

      Just water, no medium.
      I don't know the ratio, it's done by feel and don't trust anyone telling you about ratios when thinning paint, each paint is different and will need different amounts of water. There can even be differences between batches. By the sounds of it you have WAY too much paint loaded in the brush, make sure you have less or unload a bit into a paper towel before painting

    Big fan of your videos. Calm and educational - but easy to understand for beginners/intermediate level painters. I've always avoided NMM because blending isn't my strongest skill, and I don't find blending fun to practice either. I really like texture painting, especially for things like fur & even skin. After trying traditional NMM and failing for several hours this week, I'm going to try this style on my next mini. Keep it up, we love the content.
