My favourite 001 is easily "When Day Breaks". Not only is the original idea a brilliant and genuinely terrifying concept, it's been expanded and explored so much as to basically become it's own sub-category within the wider SCP universe.
How about The Factory? That's a fun one that in my humble opinion is a very interesting origin for the SCP foundation.

I think the black moon is underrated, the image of the administratior fighting entropy in a bar at the end of time lights my brain up in all the right ways
I'd say no. Even the O5 would know when to draw the Line. At some point you just have enough Anomalies to keep your position of Power.
When this SCP was first written I bet it was actually a great idea but I don't think the idea has stood the test of time for the very reasons I stated in this scenario.

I mean, maybe they realized that if anomalies just stopped appearing, people would get suspicious. So they keep opening the sheath of papers to continue the process, after which they can hide behind the lack of a concrete SCP-001 entry and dodge any faults. It could go somewhere around the lines of "Well the sheath of papers isn't confirmed to be an SCP, and we wouldn't be stupid enough to keep opening it once we realized what it could do!"
It's not the best theory ever but it kind of stands. The O5 council is more than willing to lie.
The o5 definitely used it alot but not enough to fill the world with scps, and I think it's "cannon" that anomalies existed wayy before humanity ever existed, and if that sheaf of paper was the first scp then atleast a God exists and they would probably get pissed off and destroy the o5 and the sheaf of papers

There is some logic behind using D-Class as security, as curiosity is the biggest threat, so if you check the psychological profiles of D-Class you just have to find those who just don't care what they're guarding as long as doing so gets them rewarded.
I think the whole thing is kind of a tongue and cheek nod towards all of the authors on the scp wiki. The O5 council is the in universe parallel to the moderation team(s) who approve or reject new entries, hence “opening the documents”.

On one hand, the O5 counsel could be responsible for every bad scp in the foundation lore, but on the other hand, that means they also were responsible for creating SCP-999 so all is forgiven.
I think it makes sense to have d-class guarding it. Even in the foundation universe people are always looking for a way up. Trying to use everything to their advantage. Even the most loyal of loyal will try to help which could lead to a breach. D class most likely have knowledge, if limited, of the dangers of anomalies. They know the price of failure. While their fight talent will lack, desperation will compensate. So personally, it makes perfect sense. Hope that is good enough excuse.
I think an excuse is that since nobody knows the real one if this was the real one then to hide their misdeeds they make a new one every now and then to protect their secret

Honestly, I think the Spiral Path is a better take on the "O5 creates the anomalies" myself, though I'll also admit to combining 001s to build a better narrative (Specifically Spiral Path, Sheaf of Papers, The Foundation, and The Way it Ends with elements of the sadly now deleted "The Insurgency" for good measure)

After watching this, the Global Occult Coalition's actions and policy of destroying anomalies make so much more sense.

The D class placed in charge of guarding the briefcase containment room to me sounds like an oddly implemented idea of making sure nobody has easy access to it. Or perhaps not. It's either a very conspiratorial way to ensure it's badly guarded and thus easily accessed. Or! The whole point of putting D class in charge of guarding the thing is because A) D class know what the drill is, and thus will fight tooth and nail to keep anyone from getting to it to ensure they don't end up stuck going to help test another monstrosity, and B) D class are likely short on trust, patience, and thus are not liable to allow anyone to come within their sight range without opening fire. An MTF can be corrupt/bought/purchased/etc etc - instead, putting a gang of very ill-tempered armed manics whose jimmies have been rustled sufficiently by D class duty to guard it means nobody is going to get to it without a fire fight. Including O5 council members trying to sneak in there.
Or they just get bored and just get more scps, it works
The Sheaf of Papers has always been my favorite SCP-001 proposal. It's both simplistic and deep. It's the end of the world or a God capable of doing so, because it doesn't need to be. What it creates (or merely warns us about) can be that instead. It entails that the Council are toying with the world at any time they feel like it.

This is a great video about the possibility of “The sheaf of Paper” being Scp-001 but I came with a theory that some Scp 001’s may have created each other. For example when the foundation discovered the “Spiral Path” used it to create anomalies but is it possible they created the “Sheaf of paper” by accident and is it possible that the papers created another 001 after all when the foundation looked at the papers it talked about 002 is it possible that someone else found the papers saw the pages mention 001

Or you could do the same with your SCPs condensed vids where you give brief descriptions of a few hundred SCPs, but this time, include some sketches here and there throughout the video.
It's been a long while since you've done either of those, even before the algorithm demanded content diversity.
I feel like with your increase in skill and format and overall quality over these past few years, these ideas could do pretty well.

My favourite is God's Blind Spot. Nice origin story for why the SCPF is the one who Secure Contain Protects, and the idea them making a deal with God Themselves is something I like. SCP-343 may be the Administrator, who met with the council in Greece to seal the deal, giving them true immortality like SCP-7001 tells.
This makes the SCP 5000s timeline all more terrifying
It's very obvious why the 05 Council would keep opening it. For every horror (most of which though gruesome and costly, you can contain), you also have things like...oh...the literal fountain of youth to keep yourself immortal. Or how about some pills that can literally cure anything? Or a machine that can refine or modify existing matter to better suit your needs. Or a vending machine that can create/summon concentrated gold, diamonds, whatever. Or a supernatural butler that is a slave to your whims?
And that's just the start. The foundation now has access to other worlds and dimensions. Just in case, you're immortal and powerful but if the world is in danger you can run to a new one. Or go to yellowstone and hit "Reset". Or create a faster than light spaceship to explore the universe, or whatever.
TLDR As an 0-5, you are limited by your imagination and...the number of useful SCPs that exist.

I like this as the scp-001 because it really would give an origin to everything. All the other 001's are kind of arbitrary as their reason for being that, simply being the first found.

For anyone wondering, SCP-001 is guarded with D-class in order to attract less attention. If O-5 were to deploy high-tech defenses, people would suspect it was the real SCP-001
Dog having an scp show would be amazing. Like following the journey of an scp guard in site 19 as he has to deal with all these scps would be insane. Like one of the endings would just be dealing with a 001 proposal.
I thought it would be about "The Spiral Path" but I suppose the "sheaf of papers" works too. Although I think the former is more intentional

I've been enjoying everything you've been putting out lately. This style of video seems very scientific, perfect for the SCP foundation.

I just really like the idea that several 001 scps can be at play. I also imagine that several multiverses are at play, and there can be a universe for every combination of scps out there.
Maybe the Chaos insurgency created this narrative of this being the true SCP-001. It paints the 05 Council and SCP as true villains, creating new SCP’s. This would be the easiest one to demonise and discredit the council altogether while placing themselves as the just one.
I still like the idea that the o5 orientation tale put forward: "What is SCP-001? There isn't one. Was there a first anomalous object that was discovered? Of course. Was it important? Probably not. Confused? Good. At least you're still human."
Though nothing quite tops the final line: "Don't worry about it too much, whatever you think is the truth is probably good enough anyway."
I'd request an illustration of this tale, but given it's just someone reading a letter that might not make for the greatest RUclips content ever.
While this is a nice theory, I'm personally under the firm belief that, if any, the true 001 is actually 184; The Architect.

I like the Sheath of Papers as the 001, but I also like the meta theory that we, not knowing what we're doing, write the entries.
O5 Council: Its not a bug. It’s a feature. And we see this feature as beneficial.
This does necessarily mean the council was the ones that opened the paper to begin with. The could have found it after many SCPs were already in existence and then not clued in for a while after when using it.
I believe that's where The Factory has come into play.
I personally like the prototype, the idea of the first scp being relatively normal, the only reason it's a big deal is that it was the first.
I also quite like the simplicity of that proposal. Plus the language of the article. It’s very different to the standard template we see in all others

It’s got to be this or the factory. I think it’s possible this itself could’ve been made in the factory. While other 001s don’t have much to do with actually being ‘the first’ and are just labelled as such (like when day breaks)
In theory, it is a good idea of an SCP, if the whole SCP catalogue was less than 100 anomalies long.

You are kinda missing the fact that the Foundation does not know if the papers create the anomalies, or allow the Foundation to contain them. With the added fact that there are many other anomalous Groups Of Interest that have their own anomalies and no Sheaf of Papers, it's quite possible that this paper allows them to have the anomaly contained once the document is made.
Honestly, I'd also say no. Mostly because as much as they want to try, eventually something is going to happen where the Foundation is going to lose control over an extremely dangerous anomaly that will overthrow them.
So even the Administrator approved of this? I'd rather trust the Insurgency than the Foundation at this point.
