Ok lets be honest. There is no way in this damn earth that the scp foundation is getting their test subjects form deathrow. They either gotta be coming from a scp, or like idk poor people because the sad truth is that nobody would notice them and any family members would probably think they just starved to death or something. Than why do the dclass remeber comminting crimes? Probably some sort of ammnestic that replaces their memories with how the foundation supposedly recruits. Especially in third world countries, the foundation could get massive amounts of dclass, but due to the fact that they dont have a large amount of one ethnicity or race, leads me to believe that they are doing other things to get their test subjects. You may be saying that this is unfair and immoral which the foundation attempts to avoid at least a little bit, but think of it from their perspective, you need test subjects so the world can continue existing. This is the best way to get those test subjects with minimal risk so its a sacrifice that the scp foundation would be more than willing to take.

This is truly one of the more inspiring stories in the SCP universe. It shows how despite everything; the pain, the loss, the hopelessness, faith persists and succeeds. His death was not in vain, but neither did it mean the end for him. If anything, it only proved how strong he was, and how in the face of everything this strange universe throws at him, he knows that he will withstand and perciviere, for the only thing stronger than fear is hope.
Through his sacrifice the lives of many have been spared, one can only admire and aspire the courage and faith of such men.
@Apsoy Pike That is true, however it's precisely that what makes him so much greater. You live in a world, surrounded by threats and beings beyond your comprehension. In a world so absurd, to persist is really not a matter of passionate religious belief but of faith. It's true that in the cold eyes of the Foundation, an object or person's value is determined by their resourcefulness, not their character. However due to this mentality, their actions and behavior, regardless of their good intentions, can be dark and inhumane. In the end, it's up to those with the strongest of wills to preserve the very thing that makes us human; hope.

Y'know I've heard this story so many times and it always mentions how this is one of only two d-class to ever receive the foundation star, and I have never heard anything on the second one to do so, I'm so curious but I have no idea how I'd go about finding out about it
It's probably just a detail added to not make the ending too cliche. However, I might be wrong.

I always figured the other one was the D-Class who, somehow, managed to re-contain SCP 682 on his own despite the entire rest of the team being killed.
If you look at 682's file, you'll see a section that documents the times it broke containment, and the teams that were deployed each time. One of those teams was killed to a man, *except* for what must have been an absolute Gigachad of a D-Class.

It says "one of only two awarded to Class-D Personnel", so unless I missed something and you were referring to a different line, that line means there are two awards that can be given to D-Class, not that there were two D-Class who received the award.

You play as him during a containment breach and in one of the endings he is captured by the SCPF again and designated as an SCP due to his ability to tell where danger is (fancy way of saying that we respawn after dieing to an SCP somewhere and avoiding/countering it)

The over-the-top tear jerking type of dramatic crescendo at the end of this as the D-Class's posthumous awards were displayed was just too much man. I couldn't help but laugh at how epic it was. Awesome video as always gents; I feel as though you and The Exploring Series are by far the two best channels for SCP content on RUclips.

I like to think is the cosmic horror part of the SCP universe, like having too much knowlege is bad
Love watching your vids. I started watching just before the pandemic in October of 2019. I remember many of them being just pencil drawn sketches that you did with voice over and not 3 years later you have these awesome visual effects and great partnerships with others for your voiceovers.
I like any other enjoy watching your vids every time they come out and even re-watch many of the old ones. This is the only SCP channel I enjoy watching and hope that you will continue to produce these amazing stories on the years to come.

D-Class are not only death row prisoners, afaik they're sourced from political prisoners and other places where if people went missing they wouldn't be noticed.
Edit: Nvm, on the "Mr.Jackson" article, which is sort of about D-14134 it says he shot and killed a police officer.

Considering that he had unwavering faith in god it’s safe to say that he was a political prisoner or maybe a refugee. If the Foundation can’t get prisoners from death row, they get their D-Class from the lower rungs of the ladder of society that most people wont miss
