Thanks for stopping by to watch another When Day Breaks video :) I wanted to explore the literal idea of "God" being corrupted by the event in this case. So, here we can see that for all his attempts to try and justify his actions, the event has still won in a way, while not fully physically corrupted like most lifeforms, the very idea of what he is supposed to represent has been corrupted.
You know its interesting as for all we know he's a small piece of a greater being and that he believes that he's that greater being and basically he's a avatar of it and so is "god" by the fact he's just a weaker piece its interesting ideas for some scp 343 story's

For thoses commenting on "Why God was affected?" Or "If Uriel (SCP-001: The Gate Guardian) resisted the sun, why didn't God?", it is implied in the SCP-343 article, that SCP-343 isn't really God, but a powerful reality warper who has a God complex and believes themselves to be God. The whole reason why SCP-343 erased a doctor from existence is because they were coming close to identifying SCP-343's true identity and SCP-343 didn't want the truth to spill out.

I found it interesting and unique twist that even scp god could not survive and tricks individuals by giving false security and hope just to add them to his collection without care for individuality.

Instead, He's broken and uses his almost unlimited power to delude himself into believing he has made a paradise for people which in actuality is merely a hell covered in the splendor and majesty Heaven would have.

@@shawermusGas masks, I think don't give much protection from radiation, if you have exposed skin or if you experienced the blast, it means you're already blasted by radiation

So most organic SCPs cannot resist the sun (053 is the exception), but would 076 be any different? If he melted, would he respawn unmelted in 076-1 or is that not how it works? And what about 035, could it possess a flesh creature? And heres something I just thought of- What about 002, the living room?
I have edited this comment to fix a few mistakes as 053 is in fact immune, while 682 is just a fast adapter. I'm sure that in enough time, 682 would be able to adapt immunity based on 053's immunity, if they stick together.
I always thought if 035 connected with the flesh he'd see the hive mind or the one sole controller of the flesh and either have its own thoughts corrupted to madness or he'd be able to control some of the hive mind itself for its own purpose. But I'm sure it probably possess a body like how Dr. Brights amulet did in a previous story.
076 would probably be corrupted, but if his corrupted form was destroyed he would probably reform normal. 035 would probably be depowered by the sun like most anomalies. 002 would probably fare the same or else be abosrbed into the flesh. Keep in mind though there are all just stories told outside the "cannon" of When Day Breaks, and each author is simply giving their own interpretation. One author could have 682 immediately become part of the fleshy mass, one could have him completely immune.

682 is not the exception, it is revealed that 053 is however, 682 was effected, the question is if it was his anomaly refusing subjugation or the anomaly interaction he has with SCP 053 that allowed his anomaly to reassert itself and shield himself from the sun’s rays.
i saw a story once where 076-1 used his ability to create weapons to accumulate a vast amount of whatever shadow-material they were made of, and then smithed them into a suit of protective armour. He now wanders the world as a black knight attacking every flesh-blob he encounters, with no real goal in mind other then combat. Though sometimes he rescues a surviving human by coincidence and leads them to the nearest safe zone he knows of before wandering off again.
The gate guardian is unaffected by the sun even though he got hard nerfed (682 himself said he's fake)

That was something this channel did explore a bit and in Djkactus’ canon said 343 is not actually God (just a very powerful reality bender who portrays an illusion that he’s God)

I’m very perplexed as what this version of 343 even is. Is it actually the God and that the sun managed to somehow overpower him? Surely not if 682 could resist the Sun’s temptation and Uriel is simply unaffected, so is it simply a false one? A sort of faith parasite that managed to fool even 682 into believing it’s lies? Is it so delusional that even tricked itself?
I have so many questions, because it made it seem like God was simply above the matters of the Sun as a whole but this made me immediately question so much of the cannon being used here.

No matter how powerfull the reality bender is, the broken day will melt their mind. Even the one called God cannot escape from the burning beacon of corrupt light overseeing us all in the sky. His mind left broken with only one person left believing his lies. The only one left fooled in the end was he who fooled all.

@@Sigma_Male_Anti_FemaleI think in actuality he's less of a head and more of a giant SCP-001-a mass composed of everyone formerly at site 17. His face just happens to be visible on the exterior of the mass because he's too powerful for the flesh to completely subsume his identity. In other words he's the only part of that thing powerful enough to still be himself to a degree, which is why it has his face.
I wonder if any survivors thought 939 and the flesh are the same.
They are really similar in appearance (red flesh monsters) and have the ability to mimic voices

Tbh I kind of wish for a happier conclusion to these short stories, i know it's a cruel world in the when day breaks cannon, but it's kind of now getting predictable that the protagonist of the tale will die or suffer a gruesome fate.

I was rewatching this series, and a video I would love to see is one following Epsilon-9. They've appeared twice in firey glory, bringing both safety and death from above. They know about the 682 breach, so maybe a story could follow them pursuing "Mr. Elisabeth" or recount what we've already seen from their perspective, like explaining why they descended on 3008 and them finding the aftermath of the Site 19 events. I think it'd be a pretty cool story either way

Hrmm I guess it really is up to your own interpretation of 343. I personally never really thought he was an actual god, but still he seemed powerful enough to basically change anything around him. I'd be interested to learn how it was the sun was able to penetrate his defenses. It sorta brings into scope just how strong whatever it is that caused the sun to change is, if it can overpower (at least mostly) 343 then there really isn't anything that we know of in the lore that can just outright ignore it. Interesting.
Aight the power differences are odd here, bright’s necklace can completely stop him from being taken but 343’s power can only slightly resist it and not even to the point of not being a slave to the sun

I always like things done with 343 because it entirely depends on what the writer thinks 343 actually is. My personal favorite being that he is a nearly all-powerful reality bender, who has gained a god complex because people keep seeing him as god. And lucky for me, thats exactly what I got from this story

Honestly wondering if we’ll ever get a tale where “When Day Breaks” finally ends one way or another, whether it’s all life on Earth succumbing to the fleshy rays of the Sun… or somehow managing to beat the Sun. Or maybe the event simply ends one day, leaving confusion among survivors.
There’s so many ways the scenario could “end”, or perhaps even just worsen. Maybe it’s just our Sun, or maybe it’s every star in our galaxy, maybe the universe. Perhaps the anomaly was triggered by certain conditions, or maybe it occurred 100% randomly with no cause or reason to do anything. It’s such an interesting scenario to me, there’s so much that can be done with it.

I always preferred the interpretation that 343 was just a reality warper with a god complex. I imagine what probably happened was he heard about the sun thing and assumed that with all of his power and godhood that he'd be immune to its effects. But when he wandered outside he too started to be corrupted just like everything else. He tried to use his powers to escape back indoors but it was too late, and his mind was warped, turning him into this, despite all of his power.
A true irony because with a little more care he could have likely saved the world, or at least a lot more of it. Even if he isn't actually powerful enough to say just magically fix everything, he at the very least could have provided plenty of resources like building materials and food as he's demonstrated before. He could transport himself or other people to safe locations, maybe even help create colonization efforts to escape the sun's rays.
Whatever this Miracle worker makes, is better than that wet dream that never became anything.

The Gate Guardian is an Angel of heaven guarding the gate to the garden of Eden. In the When Day Breaks timeline (and most other canons), 343 is just a reality bender who has convinced humans to think he is God.

I forget what the number is but there is Bassically part of Russia that if it gets attacked it starts nuclear winter across the world and the point of the unlondon story was to get to the sun to nuke it. The sun just got to 343 at the beginning of the outbreak and is using him to convert people through the nuclear winter
