There great story's to listen to when trying to sleep
My only prob with the SCP universe wish they over explain stuff often, a big appeal to me was the mystery, the shit u can't even comprehend like the whole "there is no site 15" I loved that then they wrote a huge article that just ruined the mystery
Same, he doesn't just "read" out the scp article like TheVolgun (no disrespect). Love it!
I’m with you on that! I always wonder what he comes out with next and get excited for it
SCP foundation: we contain anomalies
also SCP foundation: everybody in charge is an anomaly
There is something nice of how this SCP humanizes the O5. Usually they feel more like all powerful shadowy entities sitting on their ivory towers, but this one actually shows them bickering, stressed and geniunely at a lost of how to proceed with an investigation. And that's the point! These new blood O5 are fresh, innocent (as one might be in the Foundation) and still hold strong ideals, while the older ones were antimemetic covered anomalous ageless sorcerers.
He is.... the most average man in the world.
“I don’t always watch SCP audio videos, but when I do, I prefer Dos Exploring Series.”

A great 001 proposal, I like the ones that are more an aspect of the foundation that can’t be changed, or a part of its history
My personal face is one that describes a building that's said to be home to a government organisation that by all accounts doesn't actually exist, has a nebulous an unexplainable history and is apparently tasked with capturing anomalies even without having direct proof of government approval of these actions.
The twist is this organisation is the Foundation itself.

He wouldn't do it justice. There's so much in *how* the antimemetics division is written that would be lost if translated into one of his videos.

One of my favorite aspect to this article is that the council is displayed in a surprisingly human light.
Even when most of the time the council has been shown to not be so humane when it comes to the foundations operations and procedures
@@undeadprinceofchaos3731 The thing is, in order to remain completely without bias, they have had to become inhuman
@@undeadprinceofchaos3731the foundation is cold not cruel, they may sacrifice a thousand lives but against a billion and more lives being taken its a must, I like to headcannon that the SCP foundation wishes for a world where they arnt needed, one where the anonymous doesn't exist or it's just a everyday thing, one where they arnt needed but this isn't that world, this isn't that ideal area, so the foundation does what it must so that humanity can live, their life's are expandable, the Innocents on the out side, their worth (in my headcannon atleast) are measured in planets
I've always liked 05-13 in particular. no matter what document I find him in, he's always seen as the "normal" one, or has slight future reading abilities, or only shows up for tie breaker votes. they keep him simple and sweet. unlike the rest as depicted here

I found good boy to feel quite contrived and lazily written
Archangel Azrael born as a Human, who is also a Gate Guardian. Google pictures of Archangel Azrael.
Wait, isn't O5-8 the O5 in charge of the antimemetics division? Considering the one time he -forgot- was forced to forget to take his mnestics, he forgot the department that he was in charge of existed, it would make sense they would need mnestics to remember him
I love the idea of one of the 05 being a completely normal dude who doesn't even know he's so important, and foundation doctors just occassionally discreetly ask him questions under the disguise of being therapists or doctors, and unknowingly he ends up making decisions integral to the foundation
I’m sorry, but whenever I here the term “The Caesar Incident” I immediately think of a horrifying salad-based catastrophe.
I think this is my favorite 001 proposal. An “SCP” that’s just a normal guy.
I love this cannon, but i dont think it should be an SCP
Well the thing about the SCP foundation is that designations are to classify and catalogue suspected anomalies. Anything or person could be classified and catalogued if the foundation had reason to suspect. Like items at a crime scene that could be related to the crime will be catalogued but not always are those objects relevant to the actual crime. It’s rare but it happens.
Feels more like an -ex
I think the reason behind the coverup is simple:
We saw what happened when the last O5 council openly questioned normality, especially in regards to themselves and each other, resulting in one of them killing everyone in order to 'contain the anomlies'. So the knowledge that they themselves aren't considered normal may result in another knowledge. After all, if O5-13 is the ONLY normal person in the council, what does that mean about the REST of the council?
If O5-13 is the only member of the council, if not the whole foundation, who ISN'T anomolous in some factor...then what are they gonna do about the anomolous members?
It doesn't matter, normalcy(one of the 001) is defined by human and the council members decide what is normal
@@Noname-67 ahhh but how do they define normalcy and agree on it? that's what lead to the incident, they had differing opinions due to being individuals. The coverup needs to happen to stop infighting and ensure the foundation continues to function as is, otherwise everyone will spend time fighting each other and ruining everything.
@@sarafontanini7051 you don't know why the incident happened and they also did pretty good at defining normalcy since nothing terrible happened about that
Funnily, something that just occurred to me upon repeated revisiting of this, is that this article proves the need to have 05-13. The other foundation members look a completely normal man, and assume he may be a god on the basis that he is normal. To this point, having that normal set of eyes, someone to say "It's just a normal guy," makes complete sense.
SCP 001 - Normal People.
No, not those "normal people", the actual normal people.
I quite literally just finished reading this article.
All that buildup over the mystery of O5-13, and it turns out the previous council was killed by O5-1 throwing a suicidal temper tantrum. I love it. I genuinely love it.
Wait, the Foundation's leaders are evil?
Yeah, I was more surprised when Bruce Wayne's parents got shot in Joker
Evil - depends on point of view and canon. I guess they are more of "extreme utilitarian" - so they see something more in terms of "it's good for foundation and it's goals" than "it's morally good".
They're lawful evil
mehhh not really, just paranoid, prone to infighting and tend to approve some of the sketchier things the Foundation does
I kinda liked the Ouroboros cycle's Administrator. He wasnt just an SCP, he was THE Foundation SCP.
Evil? Hardly. When you are put in a situation like these guys, and holding insane occult and reality breaking things back to keep your very race, existence, universe and afterlife intact, NOTHING is off the table morally.
Nobody is Mann. 05-1 is Mann's successor. Amazing how they tied that in to another story

Man, O5-8 is on some goood shit. Like, damn dude, entire coctail of drugs just to remember he exists? Thats some high class stuff.
05-13: *breaths*
The rest of 05: scp-001!
I love how this keeps you guessing what is his anomaly
When I first read this a long time ago it lead to my head canon of what SCP-001 is.
There is no permanent 001. The designation is given to whatever anomaly the 05 Council or the Foundation at large is currently focused on.
Explains how multiple 001s can exist that have appeared within the same canon.
For instance in the Ouroboros Cycle: The Children were considered 001 until the rebellion and the whole thing buried. Later the “Broken God” was given the designation when the Foundation at large began mobilizing to combat it. The Administrator became 001 later either when Segal returned or Calvin took over making it the priority of the Council.
In this case 05-13 became SCP-001 when the other members became dedicated to investigating him for his supposed anomalous nature.
I’ve listened to the majority of your SCP series and I just want to say that I am very much in your debt. Your videos are what truly sparked my interest in the SCP universe. Your other content is just as great but I must admit I need to explore more of it beyond your SCP content. Thank you for your great work.
Just imagine being in the Overseer Council. I'd want to be the O5 in charge of the Internal Security Department or something.
I can. I reckon I'd rock at that kind of job. Doublespeak to everyone, constantly be aloof and enigmatic, failing situations of severity in which I would become surprisingly focused and intense while taking immediate control of the situation. Flying around the world deneuralizing people that saw too much...
Id be like G man but with less fragmented vocal tones. Tall, imposing and cryptic, you would never be sure if I was teleporting, changing your reality around you or just a really quiet, fast walking guy that generally leaves if you turn away for more than a second or two.
My tie would shift patterns every so often, giving the impression that there were multiple versions of me active at any given time, and I think I should have at least one other feature but I haven't decided what that should be, yet.
The background sounds effects add such a sense of dread, I love them!
Oh yes, in my mind that sound is always playing in the SCP universe.

Okay, this is hilarious and underrated.
There is nothing boring about being in The Foundation, let alone being on the 05 Council.
Personally, I find it rather insulting that anyone would try to draw an analog between the collaborative efforts of some of the most creative independent writers I have seen and a Mangaka who created a story of fantasy with an admittedly ingenious premise, only to effectively cock it all up by failing to implement a 'flying-by-the-seat-of-your-pants' approach to narrative, blatant disregard to a discerning readers' suspension of disbelief, an unconscionable number of plot holes, half-assed world building left entirely unfinished, gross contradictions of overarching morals and still somehow made a financial killing.
