Embarrassingly I have been crocheting over a year and have made quite intricate arimigumi projects but I can’t for the life of me make a simple granny square 😭 Edit for anyone curious: I DID learn how to make granny squares from this video!!! Best tutorial! I’ve been crocheting for 2 years and never successfully made a granny square, but this video changed that! Gonna go buy the yarn made for granny squares and make a whole bunch now! Thank you!

I taught myself crocheting from a book. I’ve never been able to understand a pattern before but you have finally made it simple enough for me! The you!
Easiest granny square tutorial I've come across! Thank you for making this so easy to follow and for slowly explaining each step AND for clearly showing the yarn + where exactly your hook is going! I've found that it makes all the difference in tutorials.
Okkkkk.. took me about two hours to make my first ever granny square! But I did it! Thanks a zillion. It took long because I re did it a thousand times and my fingers w the hook weren’t getting along, but I am so happy I was able to do my first one. ❤ Now I need to make about a million of these. lol 😝
I have never crocheted ever! I was close to giving up and took me multiple tries but I’ve now made two granny squares! No idea what I’ll do with them yet but I’m just happy I learned! Thank you!!! ❤️❤️ you made this clear and simple
Your first granny squares make great coasters if they don't sit flat (made them too tight) or if you made it too loose which happens to the best of us!
I’ve been crocheting for years, but your tutorial was the first time I was actually able to keep up with for granny squares ☺️ you’re the best teacher!!!
Fr i have been crocheting for about a year and a half and it took me 7 tries to finally say to myself "just watch the full tutorial" and i made one and i love it! thank you so much for making this video!

Thank you. I love your tutorial. i looked all over to try to learn a granny square, finally got a video that I can understand how it is done. Thank you. God bless you.
Thank you so much! This tutorial was super helpful and I completed the granny square! I haven't done much in crocheting beyond lines of stitches, so this was a huge accomplishment for me. I appreciate that you used one color of yarn for all the rounds and the hook size made it easier so I could follow the stitches and your movements.
BEST TUTORIAL THANK YOUUU im not an absolute beginner ive done some things like amigurumi, and all the other granny square tutorials are for the most beginner people with a long explanation for every basic step - this tutorial was nice and simple and short for someone like me who already knows the basic basic things
Hi :) actually great tutorial for a beginner, it was clear to me. I only know basic stitches and how to crochet them in rows. It helped to me that I first just learned those and practiced for several days (slip knot, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet). Those were not perfect, but now when I know these basics this tutorial is easy to understand :) also, tip for anyone if it's too fast for you, you can always slow down the video in settings :) that also helps for me to see where all the fingers or loops are in specific moment :D
You my dear are a wonderful teacher. I followed your instructions and it worked and I made my first Granny Square. I am going to make myself a shirt. I am so proud and tickled. Thank you.
I’m new to crocheting and I don’t know if it’s because of my lack of consistency in tightness (I tend to be a tight knitter) or that I just have trouble identifying amount of stitches or the circle in the center but I’m now in my seventh attempt at this haha. I will keep trying!
i got a crochet kit for christmas and i’ve only been doing it for four days. this tutorial was so easy to follow i ended up making three of these in one night thanks so much 🫶🏽🫶🏽
I have been crocheting for about 5 years now and granny squares have always intimidated me. I have always steered away from any pattern that would include this. Thanks to this tutorial, I will now feel confident to begin a throw for my great niece!

I found it super easy to follow along and I was making my own in no time!! Later I watched a few videos by other creators just to see how it may differ from one person to another, and while lthe other variations I saw were all the same in essence, this way of doing the first/last corner of the square is my favorite!! I’m using a yarn that gradually changes color, and the corners are so perfect because with many other methods there would be a random square “out of place” but here the one group of three that has the chains in the starting color and the two doubles in the color that will then jump up to the next row looks SO GOOD!!! I’m so excited to keep going and after seeing other methods, so glad I found this vid first!!🙌🙌 I do only chain 5 instead of 6 because I think it makes the corner a little tighter, with the color changing yarn it looks a little neater😄
I learned to crochet many many years ago and haven’t made a granny square in a few years. This was the best and quickest tutorial I could find on line. It all came back to me. this was a great video!!! very simple and easy to understand. Your an amazing teacher thank you so much for this tutorial
It took me two days but I got the hang of it and I think I’m gonna try and make a blanket it. I’m still new to crocheting and I only know how to do a single stitch and double stitch. But learning this is gonna open the door for so many projects I can do!! I really appreciate you and please don’t ever stop posting you’re really easy to learn from!! Thank you so much 🫶❤️
Also if you could and don’t already have a video on it break down how to read and do crochet patters or the lingo because I don’t really understand it and it’s just overwhelming.
That’s a good video idea 💡
Thank you so much!! 😊
