Hi everyone. Honestly, I feel pretty guilty and not too great about my wife being brought into this. And I really appreciate everyone's support. But she also makes content, streaming soulslikes and other games on Twitch, and posting videos to RUclips. UPDATE: The original video has been taken down through a copyright takedown. The basis was showing a screenshot of MrBadim's son's Roblox game. In fact, the copyright takedown was sent using the name of Artem Starygin, presumably his son. I am in the process of finding legal representation to fight this.

It makes perfect sense and isn't hypocritical if you don't view women as real people who should have full rights, and instead view them as sexual objects.
A man making fake sexy women for other men to wank to is find because it's a man doing it in a way that other men consent to.
A (married) woman dressing in a way a man finds attractive is wrong because she's inflicting her beauty on him, and effectively sexually harassing him by not being sexy in a way or time he consents to. It's effectively the same as someone watching porn at work, they're bringing an inherently sexual thing into a non sexual situation.
A normal person who views women as people and not sex objects sees that it's ridiculous, and that women's bodies aren't fucking sex toys for men.

I'm actually glad you clarified your stance on adult games in general, while I didn't think you were coming down on it in general you calling it degenerate did make me do a little double take. But yeah, I wouldn't even care about the money laundering thing if it's the only way someone can make money off of adult content in the country, but the fact that the games are full of stolen work, exploiting kids, involved in scams, not to mention his own creepy behaviour and the fact that his adult games are just. Actually fireb0rn does maintain his stance on Vadim's games in particular being degenerate not just for the fact they steal work from others (but not necessarily adult games in general). He makes a little joke that when he said "degenerate" he was referring to atomic fabric. "Degenerate" is a term used in chemistry to describe atomic structure and makes no sense in that context.

Nothing specific happened between them before Fire's first video as far as I know. Fire has made some videos calling out different companies/people for sleazy business practices and he made an almost 2-hour long video about Vadim/the individual called VadimGod who Fire theorizes is also Vadim. Vadim got defensive, lashed out and here we are.

The Streisand effect specifically refers to how attempts to hide information result in its propagation. This is different. Badim responded to the video, increasing awareness of the video, and prompting a response which further increased awareness. It was a miscalculation, but not Streisand.

One thing that has always interested me is how people argue. The use of evidence, the use of logic, the use of emotion, all of it. Looking at Badim, he has a very consistent strategy for how he approaches criticism and arguments.
Starting from the beginning, he LOVES his use of vacuous truths (statements that are truthful and accurate, but otherwise irrelevant; "the sky is blue" is always right but rarely helpful) and ad hominem attacks, with the intent of spreading misinformation. Of course, these are mixed in with outright lies, but the use of truthful statements is designed to make things difficult to analyze properly. This is his goal with stating fireborn 'stalking him and his daughter' and 'believing Mr. Badim and BadimGod are the same because they share the same name.' Both statements could be considered a version of the truth but are definitely stripping context out of the situation. Most people who are already willing to overlook or ignore evidence of Mr. Badim's misdeeds will not be convinced by the video, so they will simply use these points to attack fireborn. Most people who are convinced by the argument or willing to support fireborn regardless of the evidence will ignore any legitimacy to the claim in order to defend him.
(As a side note, fireborn does do a little bit of ad hominem attacks and vacuous truths as well. All evidence pointing towards BadimGod and Mr. Badim being the same is purely circumstantial, and attacking the quality of the games for being derivative is not very healthy, especially if these were produced by Studio Orange/Mr. Badim's students, as develops starting out for the first time will often emulate their favorite games in order to get a feel for what to do and how to do it. Of course, Mr. Badim goes far overboard to the point of outright plagiarism and demonstrates exactly why such copying isn't healthy for game development overall, but the point still stands. It's important to note that, even if fireborn is using these types of fallacies in his arguments, there isn't anything wrong with that. He cites most of his sources, and these things happen with emotionally charged topics. Just felt the need to point them out.)
All of this pales, however, to his favorite element. Red herring and strawman arguments. These are two sides of the same coin when it comes to debating. Strawmen create fictional boogeyman that the debater is fighting, such as the supposed Steam card key scammers, and red herring are supposed benefits that support your position, such as the prizes the students at Studio Orange are receiving. If you were working a job, and the boss offered a 'prize' in exchange for a successful job completion instead of pay, it would be likely you would soon be searching and in need of a new job. It's his 'Elite Games' company, with more than just him except not really. It's fireborn being a crazy stalker.
As a side note, while it may not seem to be a threat now, I would get with your lawyer and get something taken care of ASAP. It's likely Mr. Badim has criminal connections, and it doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility that he wants to manufacture and frame you for harassment to get your video down and blacklist you (hence why he wants to talk to you in person). You probably know that already, but I figured I should mention it (hey look at me I'm so smart).
Hm, that’s not how I use the phrase “vacuous truth”. I use it for things like, conditional statements where the hypothesis is false, or universal quantification over an empty collection.
For example, (as it isn’t snowing near me right now) it is a vacuous truth that “If it is snowing near me right now, then I have already had breakfast today”. Or, another example, “All of the ears growing out of my feet are green and shoot sparks”. These are both vacuous truths, in the sense of “vacuous truth” that I’m familiar with.

You are right in pointing out that Fireb0rn does use ad hominem partially in his arguments as well but I do not think that is malicious but more likely rather just a consequence of writing an hour long script and getting sidetracked/emotionally charged while in the flow.

If accused of something you 100% did and left evidence all over the place that makes it undeniable it was you, start harassing your accuser and everyone connected to said person. It will never back fire on you ever.
On the bright side of all this, I’m super happy to see that this random community of bug game enthusiasts I became involved with over a year ago is lead by awesome people and has awesome and supportive community members. Everything and everyone seems super evidence focused and logical thinkers… and that (In my opinion) Fire is doing absolutely everything 100% correctly in this situation. Including calling out this scumbag in the first place.

i was on newgrounds during that era and remember seeing a couple of this guy's posts, and even saw a handful of comments trying to call it out as theft, so it was incredibly wild to click on a video in 2024 and go "oh, shit i recognize that screen name"
outside of tumblr stuff i rarely know the "lore" of internet slapfights or infamous users so i'm still reeling a bit lmao

You know a man is innocent when his response to allegations is harassing the accuser's wife (and getting his mom to join in) and creating reddit posts that don't even include a link to the alleged claims.
I discovered you thanks to your Hollow Knight videos, so when I saw you published an investigation video I was quite surprised. I checked it and I was quite amazed by its high-quality which I actually didn’t expect from a gamer (a damn good one but not a journalist/researcher afaik), you deserve the praise for your work: your video is well written, the arguments are logical, and the sourcing is impressively massive.

This is just wow. Some people can not take criticism. I am Disappointed in MrBrain and his mom, like she is a grown adult, she should have known better.
To be entirely fair, it wasn't criticism since the purpose of the video is not to point out Badim's mistakes so he may improve upon it in the future. It was just a justified attack to point out how terrible he is (even clearly shown in this video).
Could someone fill me in why this began since the OG vid is down? Like I get that he’s horrible and shady and being bad, but how did a god gamer like fireborn get dragged into this guy’s life?
Pretty sure he knew stuff about it because he was somewhatly into the flash game scene a decade or so ago. And more recently he decided to look more into it and get into some investigative journalism.
As a viewer, hearing moments when fire's voice almost shakes with disbelief and anger really get to me. I'm quaking too. I'm so sorry this guy is being such a horrible, petty, spineless garbage dump.
