Racks are something that are often quite expensive to buy, and also take up a fair amount of room. In this video I am building a rack for my studio that is in the living room of my flat where space is at a premium.
I am pretty hopeless at any form of carpentry as the saying goes, I can do it, anyone else can too. !
There is nothing more enjoyable than building an old vintage nineteen inch rack set up! I made one out of old Roland 19" racks from 78 to 85 . Im feeling your channel bro. Alot of the same stuff im into. Like your other videos with yamaha computers as well!
If you think 19" rack is vintage, then I feel very old :)
@MatthewNorthMusic lol no I'm just saying I like to build vintage racks with vintage gear. Check out my page sometime boss you'll see:)
Nice to see a TR-505
It's a great drum machine first one I ever used when I was at school
@@MatthewNorthMusic Cool, I have had a loan of one and loved it. They are expensive on the ‘Bay, but I will eventually get one. The MIDI implementation is great on it. I like your videos, you put a lot of effort in and the product is very watchable.
Thank you very much
Great wee video sir, thanks for the upload
Thank you
nice work!
Thank you I found 2 rack shelves in the loft at my mum's today so everything will be good :)
DR5 was my first ever bit of equipment. Bought it off a lad at art school.
This one is actually on permanent loan from my friend Leo. When I reformed @alllivingfear in 2017 I used it for all the drums when I re programmed everything perfect for 90s Gothic Rock and many other things.
Love it! Will definitely do something similar to yours, thanks a lot for sharing this 😊❤
Very nice m8 will do this looks like you only need castors rails screws and plywood
Wow great build , can you give a link for the racking posts please ?
I got it on eBay can't remember where now
Do you have the dimensions? The wood looks about 3/4 inch thick. You set thing up in the video to measure the distance of the top board but you didn’t mention how long it was.
You could always put rubber bumpers at each front corner, if worried about it falling over
