@@matheusazevedo3138 not a video, more a season of f2p runs where Trump got Brann and Faelin in arena and thought it was so good that he built an entire warlock deck around the win-con of playing brann, playing Faelin, copying Faelin with Zola and playing the copied two faelins later. Needless to say, with the tempo of that combo, every tortoise overtook Trump the moment he played that deck

There were so many points in which I thought the first game had become unwinnable, it's amazing how he still managed to pull a W.
The first game may have single-handedly shown how a 40 card deck can make you lose.
It shows exactly why Quest Priest in particular does not want 40 cards. You do not want the game to drag on that long after you've put the shard in your deck.

Drew Gill It was a insane game until the priest player threw the game by not trading into the 8/8 with the divine shield mech. Why would he push damage with a deck that auto wins with one spell makes no sense.
@@RazerXPYugioh Probably because he hadn't drawn his win-button in over 8 turns despite drawing an average of 2.5 cards per turn. Impatience and doubt are swift and insidious killers.

The game against the Priest is exactly why midrange Pally is my favorite archetype in HS. The way that a solid midrange Pally can transition from playing a tempo game into longer game value is, in my opinion, the purest type of Hearthstone, especially with how fair and board-centric the decks are. I really hope it's viable in the coming expansion, though I have low expectations because of the way Druid seems to be shaping up.

Also nerf scale so they actually have to respect aggro/tempo more instead of brain dead spam ramp, recover board with welp, do your 10+ mana shit and win.
Usually Paladin is good against Druid, because they have no way of dealing with big divine shield minions in the midgame.
Tha game vs Priest would have always lost if the opponent had been a player close to decent
@@riccardodellorto4267 midrange hunter* was good for that reason. DK rexxar was the classic infinite value hero card that just gave the deck basically a +5% winrate by itself just because it lets you steal a win against proper control decks even after you get rekt by 4 board clears.

I think it was that if it was 1 hp minion it would always do 5dmg even if it had divine shield so i think it does the dmg based on the minion health but i might be wrong

Priest proving time and again to still be the ultimate No Fun Allowed class. God watching that first match made my blood boil.
Yeah, that game was good to watch, but I wouldn't have wanted to play it. That many turns of just waiting while your opponent removes or neuters your board, all while hoping to draw the auto win card.

Honestly that priest deck running the 40 card deck with quest didn’t make much sense. It was just going to take longer to actually pull shard from the deck.
i don't think quest priest really cares about shard in most cases, they just want the 2 discover effects

@@fallendeus5641 This is faulty reasoning, the 10 extra cards are always worse than the first 30. Because if they were better, you would just put them in over one of the original 30 in the first place.
Why isn't the countess five mana? Did they really print a war golem with a value battlecry AND a deck restriction?
Her effect is stronger than you think. If she was 5 mana you could cheat out two massive minions on turn 6z

I disagree, discovering legendaries is a lot weaker than you think.
It'd still be pretty inconsistent and lackluster. 5 mana 5/5 and another 6 mana the next turn to discover 2 legendaries. Can whiff very hard. On top of that, there's a deck restriction.
As is, any fast deck is killing you before you get this card to do anything and any slower deck has plenty of removal at 7-9 mana to deal with pretty much all outcomes without breaking a sweat.
Also, paladin (and most classes tbh) have AWFUL options at the 5-6 mana slots. Really wish they would've pushed this card more as it's the only pure paladin card in standard currently (I think). I don't believe it justifies the deck restriction.
@@_skud I didn’t say she’s exceptional, but making her too cheap can add too high of variance. They need to reduce mana cheat not increase it. Plus this is a fun card, Not every deck has to be tier 0
@Skullhawk13 this is pretty tame variance for hearthstone. Making countess playable wouldn't make pure paladin strong. This isn't very strong mana cheat, even at five, spending 14 mana total over multiple turns. Double digit mana is rediculously expensive in hearthstone. Warlock has a 1 mana 8/6.
This card becomes fun if you can play her, play the invitations, and then have those actually affect the game. Maybe not every single time, but enough to justify neutering your deck and spending 10+ mana. Currently, you are asking to die by playing this card unless you are facing a slow deck which will just clear them off the board with a card or two most of the time or be busy doing something much more powerful and game ending.

btw i dunno if peopls reads the rules of the testing servers for this extension but it was clearly said as a french streamer says " to not show futures skins " or something like that witch every did no do, like patron employee did not cared as well it seems,how the streamers did not get strike like no one by doing that the past 2 years again cause if it's really the case im wondering if theyr will noticed i don't want to be a jerk but as a french,ive heard that from another french streamer who said it ... so probably nothing but happen but yeah...

I love seeing quest priest losing. My God, that deck is unbelievably toxic and obnoxious to play against. Reason number one of why I don't throw Celestial Alignment Druids down a cliff.

They should play these decks like how most people will be. With weak substitutions because they don't have all the legendaries needed to make them even remotely functional.

this was recorded during a theorycraft stream where streamers had early access from the new cards in the next expansion wich releases in a week. the accounts they were using had everything in the game so everyone just made golden decks
The priest quest is so stupid. You can have all this insane stuff happening with both characters at full HP and the priest is basically guaranteed to win the game after all the craziness that goes on because of a stupid instawin button.
Edit: Obvs it didn't happen in this game before anybody says it i'm just saying in general that priest would've won 9/10 times.

I mean, given how many various buffs, etc. that deck runs, if they drop the Starfish early to negate your Stewart buff rather than saving it for something like the Mooncatchers or whatever that's more a win for you, I feel like.

the average persons attention span is short so its best to have the most interesting games 1st to keep people watching the video
