That mage drew all the pieces of cthun right at the start of the game, had everything go for it with deck of lunacy and the yogg, and STILL almost lost to a redirect priest. I think Trump was 100% right to call cthun 3 stars. It is abysmally slow against aggro
I'm pretty sure that's why he said that it's best as an anti-control card. Just put it into a control deck with a ton of anti aggro tools to fight for the board and survive to grind those decks out, and the C'thun pieces put you behind in fatigue against other control decks. I think that it's a decent card, but it's going to suffer against midrange decks or things like Ramp that can put high powered cards out ahead of curve.

Had the perfect RNG at every point of the game. Ring Toss gave him the two best secrets he needed, drew all c'thun pieces early game AND deck of lunacy, perfect yogg. The list goes on. Trump's luckiest was drawing Plague and that was it lmao.

Well having a card that makes two others in deck powerful if you play a 5+ mana card once it's in your hand, hoping that your opponent doesn't have a board clear isn't a great way to make a deck stable to win often

10:00 Okay, now I'm convinced that HS (and other CCGs) have a hidden mechanic where the game flips a coin and whoever wins the coinflip will have close to perfect RNG while the other guy will have awful luck.
That and the opponent winning despite having several misplays when doing non-RNG plays shows why HS is a joke.

why not play the quest ? it's literally the reason resurrect priest is annoying, cuz they'll bring back karthut or Greeting feelow destroy a random enemy minion 20 times and buff them to 5/9 or 6/7
I really don't know... The quest is a great support card, and you don't need to build your deck around it to make it work. Quests can be bad in aggro decks where you need to create a board asap, but in control decks, the opening hand isn't that important.
Because it's 1 less asset in hand or at least that's what she said. But seriously... it's 1 card only being very strong inclusion in slow match-ups and not as terrible versus aggro as everybody speaks. Reason for that is aggro player still needs to pick right spot to start attacking face which is usually turn 3 but may be as late as turn 4 depending on who is on coin and on early board presence. Otherwise it's yolo and overall - ev. play with most of the decks. So basically you are trading 1 card in hand for most likely 3-6 armor in that spot which vs aggro decks isn't terrible deal but obviously is still somewhat worse. To sum things up - quest is not worth it only in extremelly aggressive envoirment which wasn't case for Trump hence not putting quest is straight-up mistake. Though I'm not suprised as 95% of players don't know when to start attacking priest face with not a control deck and Trump isn't any exception to that.
On the other hand in that particular match-up quest could be little value as Warlock is running 9 hard removals + potentially 2 Twistings + discovery options and some very high attack rushers on top once spell is off. That means buffing minions has to be considered carefully so around half of the time quest would only give +1 health which isn't great value. But since Trump didn't know what he will face it's just theoretical.

Honestly, as a longtime free to play player, I quit HS before the last expansipn feeling like I just couldn't keep up with the various new decks coming out each new expansion. This new expansion kinda teased me to come back, but after seeing this video I'm deciding to not go back. The insane amount of OP RNF cards released is something my F2P collection can't keep up, even though I'd spend around 40-60$ per year on various card packs on discount. Once I started working full time, I considered to buy one of the mega bundles for the new expansion, obly realizing that if I pay +80$ it won't get me the whole expansion.
This is isane....
