These embellishments are gorgeous. Pressed flowers are lovely and are so much fun to work with; it is great to get new ideas and these are fabulous. TFS. I did. 🙏
Thanks Dawn, aren’t they pretty. I’ve also dried more larger than smaller ones too, and it was whilst I was doing the puzzle pieces last week that I had the light bulb moment for using the smaller ones. I love these 💕
Oh wow Nina these are beautiful. These would make such pretty, personal gifts too. I think, for me personally, I prefer the tissue covered ones. But that's just my personal taste as I love matte finishes. I also love the extra dimension of the white wax in the creases. They are all beautiful though. Stunning use of game pieces. When this lockdown is over I'll be hitting the charity shops for game pieces now! Stunning x
Love the dried flower projects. You once again brought these beauties on, shy and plain. Then dressed them for a ball. Each one is a gorgeous trinket for a journal, or a unique piece of jewellery. Pressed flowers are like sleeping beauty, which you made even more lovely. Great video a joy and pleasure to watch and try ideas. Thank you so much. 👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤
Good.morning nina, watching you make these dangles it shows that you made jewelery , you are good at it.I loved the coloured ones that were finished with the wax. I would put them all together and make a mobile for the garden in summer, so lovely. Thank you for all the inspiration, now I am going to have breakfast in the garden, it is a nice day, not so very hot anymore. Have a good week nina, love lena xxx
Good morning Lena. I love making these kinds of projects. I love your idea of putting them together to make a mobile, that would look lovely. That’s also given me another idea as they’d look lovely hanging from one of those white wire trees too. The weather is miserable here today, so enjoy your sunny day. Have a wonderful week 💕 xxx
I love these! Thanks for the tip to use the Japanese screw punch. I bought one recently and knew it could be used for more than what I was doing. Fabulous ideas!
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia thank u!! 😁 I gave some pressed flowers in my craft (not a lot… I used a flower press old school way) & wasn’t sure what to do with them.
Thank you, Nina, for your inspiring videos, so full of terrific ideas. We're excited to be in the process of making our own press. Regarding your stuck glue top, here's a tip that we hope will help... try running hot water over it, or soaking it in nail polish remover for a few minutes. These work for us every time.
Thanks for the tip Judith. I did eventually get it off by running hot water over it. All by lids now have a layer of Vaseline on them to stop it happening again 💕
Beautiful, so sweet little flowers. I've recently gotten a microwave flower dryer and you've given me new ideas. Never heard of chalk wax or the dimensional glue. Getting an education while enjoying your accent! Thank you.
Thank you so much Nina, that’s really really awesome 👏 I really really love 💕 all those pieces too. Just shows you what you can do with everyday objects, that you have around. As always I’ve really really enjoyed watching you create these items. Stay safe and well too xxx Mags
These are gorgeous and really creative. I marvel at the crafts you have come up with, Nina. Your garden must be breath-taking with all of its lovely spring flowers (and later the Autumn explosion of what I think of as THE most cozy colors of the year.) I am an Autumn girl all the way though I am hard pressed to pick favorites. But because of the connections so many of us have made between the Fall season and a cozy fire, a good cup of tea, and the coming season's holidays and get togethers, I tend to favor it. Let's face it, all of the flowers, leaves, and plants bring such beauty to our lives, so using the dried, pressed foliage in various projects is a wonderful way of paying homage to our Earth and extending its beauty in small ways we can enjoy all year. Thank you. XOXOJane
Hello Jane. Our garden really is at is at its best and most colourful during the Spring. I have shared some wonderful photo’s on Facebook if you would like to see. Like you, I also love autumn, and that first log fire is always the best. Glad you enjoyed this video ❤️

I’ve never actually seen finishing wax being put into action, so this was inspiring to me for several reasons. Simply charming work, Nina! 😉 I like your editing, too - it lets me get on with my day instead of being held captive...but your work IS captivating!! 😃💕
Thanks so much for your lovely comment April. I really do try to edit out as much of the boring and unnecessary bits as I can as I don’t like being held captive either 💕
Oh yes, I thoroughly enjoyed your project for the week. You were so prolific with your time. They are awesome embellishments. I cannot pick a favorite. You will have a lot of choices now on what to use for future projects that need dangles. Thanks so much, this was fun. - Marsha from Texas
Here is a tip for glue bottles and tubes. Once you've opened them rub a thin coating of vaseline around the threads of the opening and you will not have to worry about the tops being glued shut. You may need to add more vaseline as the glue bottle/tube is used a lot. It works every time and saves having to go find a pair of pliers to open the bottle/tube.
Nina thank you for some awesome ideas and prompts for the coming week. The art in the group is really exquisite and with your and Kylie's inspiration I have no excuse. Take care!
These are so pretty Nina, it looks like you had a lot of fun making them. I am a few projects behind, as usual, but I have dominoes, scrabble tiles and glossy accents as well as the dried flowers so I will be giving this a go. I found a bunch of paper wasp nests, would you like some to play with? Have an awesome week.
Thanks Debbie, I had great fun making these and love how they turned out. I’d love to have some of the paper wasp nest as we don’t get those over here. I’ll swap you for some of my wasp nest and one of these danglies. Have a great week 💕
These are so cute!! I’ve been drying a lot of flowers and will try this! Quick tip.....add Vaseline to the threads of your E-6000 glue, then your lid won’t stick! 🙂 TYFS! ❤️🦋💜
Thanks for the Vaseline tip Cindy. I have managed to get the lid off by soaking it in acetone for a few minutes and have since applied Vaseline to stop it happening again 💕
This is a great tutorial. I love my Microfleur microwave flower press. Instead of having to wait weeks, the flowers dry in just minutes. Not all UV resins are the same. Have you tried Hand Crafter UV resin? It will dome and cure clear. It also won't get cloudy if the it gets wet. I have tried the water based dimensional glue, but my pendant got wet and forever turned soft and cloudy. It is easier to clean up because it's water based though. For a longer life and sturdier project, however, I use Hand Crafter UV resin.

The Eco prints turned out fantastic & so much easier than boiling. Can't remember if you have one of those machines, but just thought you'd like to know. Take care!
What an amazing result with both the dimensional adhesive & tissue. I'm in the process of making a nature themed journal, so these are perfect for adding to it. I saw someone put a very thin layer of lip balm or vaseline around the top of a glue bottle to help stop the lid from welding itself, it may be too late for your E6000 but might stop it happening to any others.
Love these, look so pretty. I use the Anita's glaze, i love it. Glossy accents I find the bottle hard to use, it clogs and dries and I waste so much. My glaze of choice is Windsor and Newton glazing medium. Can be mixed into paints too. I've got a dehydrator and I can do flowers in there i believe.

I LOVE Mod Podge Dimensional Magic. I never, ever squeeze the bottle, however. Generally, if you just tilt the bottle, the MPDM just gently starts pouring out. I move the tip around my piece, keeping the tip inside the puddle, until my piece is covered to the desired thickness. Consequently, there are very seldom any bubbles. Most of the time, I get none. Make sure to wipe the tip when finished, then give the bottle a light, quick squeeze to clear the tip.
Great concise video. Beautiful pieces. I love pressed flowers. Do you think ink spray would adhere to the domino if you wanted to add a background color?
Thanks Kathy. I think an acrylic spray would work, or even acrylic paint. I wouldn’t use something like Dylusions or Distress inks though as they will react I with the glue and bleed. I hope that helps 💕
I love your videos and this one is as great as others!!! Thank you the inspiration!!!! Can I just ask what tool did you use to drill a hole in a dominos? I am looking for a mini drill but not sure which one is good
UV resin isn't manufactured do be dimentional in the first place. It's made to be flat. You need to do several thin layers and dry/harden every single layer befor putting the next layer on. Could be possible that the glue you're using turns milky because of the UV light. Try to put a layer of UV resin on your project first put in your flower piece and harden with the uv lamp then put more thin layers of resin on top, maybe that gives you the result you like. 😊
When you put the cap on your E6000 take a tab of vaseline petroleum jelly and coat the screw top part with that and then you can open it up again. Essentially you are just cleaning off the screw top but also the vaseline coats it to help you open it up.
