I am curious about the supposed legalities of selling something with a stamped image on it. Just because they say it's their policy it doesn't necessarily make it the law. They are selling you the means to use a stamped image, not the stamped image itself. It's not up to them how you use it. If they want you to keep the resulting image a secret that is invasive. Another great share Nina . To unstick a punch I use a light hammer tap on the proud areas until it releases and then puch through tin foil to sharpen and clean the cutting edges . It only takes a little something to cause the jamb. great idea to cover the stamped areas on your Art Journal ... perhaps stamp and cut the stamped images several times and then stick over your printed image. ?? Metal expands when heated and retracts when cooled...perhaps put it in the freezer for a few minutes and try knocking it on a concrete or hard surface (carefully, of course)?
Years ago we took a craft class and we had punches that would not move. Machine oil, for sewing machines wouldn't work, screw drivers were used to pry them and then finally I said drop it on the floor, it's broken any ways. She dropped it and it worked! Never had trouble again.

Morning Lena. Basically, don’t stamp and scan. Hi Nina to unstick a punch this is what I do..push the metal part of the heart with a screwdriver or give it a good tap on the table. It usually works for me. Good luck!
Lovely buttons Nina. Sorry you had some anxiety about your beautiful work due to Angel Policies, it’s a minefield of headaches! Looking forward to February and what you have planned. 💕💫
Thanks Debbie. I had no idea I’d done anything wrong as I don’t sell my work so everything is for my own personal use. I know now and won’t do it again 💕
Nina, don’t worry about it. No one will sue you. Costs to sue far outweigh any potential benefits, and would be impossible for the stamp maker to prove any damages they incurred by your use. They create angel policies in “hopes” of scaring people out of using them in their own sales, but they are unenforceable and ridiculous and useless intimidation if u just ignore them. Artymase doesn’t want anyone to use even a part of her work in something you sell. Ridiculous. How in the world could she possibly police that around the world, much less sue someone far away or prove she was damaged in any way? The only people who get sued are people with known big pockets who are mass producing, not little indies like us. It takes huge money to sue someone and there is no guarantee you would win much less collect even if you did win. They need to stop with the scare tactics and just be happy people buy their goods.
I contacted the stamp companies I purchased stamps from and all of them so far have said the artwork is your own and we appreciate your shout out or mention. No limitations so long as it is in your own work. I imagine there probably are those companies who claim ownership, but I do not purchase from them.
I meant of course that i contacted them regarding my work :) I mean a stamp is meant for art work so the companies who place restrictions on them are defeating their purpose. That is my opinion.
Hi Nina! Oh I thank u for this video! I haven’t made homemade buttons in years but thank u for reminding me about them🥰💕 I’m in the middle of making a gnome for a friend & couldnt think of how to embellish it as I’m unemployed so I couldn’t run out & buy something. Now I know what to do. I’ll print the pic I want & make a button out of it. U truly made my day already!! I love ur master boards & ur artist trading cards & coins & ur journal. All r beautiful & I truly love that bird. It’s beautiful. Hugs, Donna
I somehow missed this video. As you know, I sent you some that I had learned about somewhere. The place I watched, the person added Glossy Accents onto the topper for a glazed look like some real buttons. Sometimes I add the shine, sometimes not. Great instruction on the subject..I need to make more, as I used the last one decorating the vintage junk journal,I gave to my younger daughter Jenn. They are so handy for a number of projects. Love your button examples, especially the one with the red postage stamp. Take care of yourself, and I’ll see you soon. Oh yes, did the suggestion of getting a punch working again work? I have one that needs attention.
They make wonderful little embellishments don’t they. Unfortunately my punch had to be binned. I did manage to un jam it using WD40, as the usual thrown it on the floor or bash it with a hammer method didn’t work. Hope you manage to get yours working again 💕
Thank you so much Nina, all I can say is WOW 😮 WOW 😮 WOW 😮 those buttons are really really stunning and gorgeous and I really really love 💕 how you made them, and what a great 👍 idea 💡 making the template for the holes is. Genius xxxx Mags
I have just come across your video, and I must say I have seen several videos on how to make buttons, and I love yours. They are absolutely gorgeous and so easy to do. Thank you 💜
I love your buttons so much, TFS! I add Glossy Accents or Modge Podge Dimentional Magic to mine to give them a shinny bubbly top. I just shove a tooth pick or a wood skewer in the holes until dry so my holes don't close up.
I had a jammed circle punch! A male friend of mine was able to work it loose with a small mallet and screwdriver. He softly worked on it. The next time I used the punch, it stuck again, but I was able to dislodge it!
Thank you for reminding me of making buttons. Yours are so pretty❣ Yes, Angel Policies, Copyright laws, Trademark laws all are some things to watch out for.
You already have my solution for stuck punches in your comments but to add my 2 cents, I use a screwdriver to pry them apart. I love your buttons but I have about 5 shoe boxes full of old buttons from my grandmother (she took buttons off all old clothes from 9 children during the depression till the 90's) so I have plenty of them for embellishments. Thanks Nina, I hope you have an awesome week.
I have contacted companies before to ask what their angel policies are. If they aren't "angels" lol, then I use someone else that has an open angel policy. I find the UK has some wonderful companies with open angel policies! Love your work...
Thanks so much Sue. I hope you saw the pinned post in the comments, as Kylie and I have done a lot of research regarding this. Check it out if you haven’t seen it 💕

I still have a couple of Dee’s buttons she sent me 😁.Used a few as centres of mixed media flowers 😁x
Yes I did too. Nothing is every simple and straight forward is it 💕 x
Love the idea of making buttons. I made 2 master boards, one has purchased stamps on it , the other has my hand made stamps. I will cover up the stamps on the one before I copy it.
Thanks Darlene. Who knew hey 💕
So clever....thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it 💕
These are beautiful. Thank you for the info on the stamped images.
Thanks Christina, glad it was helpful 💕
Great idea thanks for sharing
Thanks Sherry 💕
Very cute buttons Nina xx.
Thanks Mel 💕
These are great! TFS! xo
Thank you 💕
love this video. TFS. After watching, I did scribe to your channel. Love all the information That you talked about. Linda
Thanks so much for subscribing Linda and welcome to my channel 💕
Hi Nina to unstick a punch this is what I do..push the metal part of the heart with a screwdriver or give it a good tap on the table. It usually works for me. Good luck!
Thanks Lorraine, glad to say all fixed 💕
I love making masterboards and can't wait to try these, they're so cute!
Beau!!!!!
Thank you 💕
Those buttons are gorgeous! Want to try all your projects. Thanks for sharing. 💫
Thanks so much Sharon 💕
I just subscribed, and I’m so glad I found you!
Thanks so much for subscribing and I hope you’ll enjoy my channel 💕
I contacted the stamp companies I purchased stamps from and all of them so far have said the artwork is your own and we appreciate your shout out or mention. No limitations so long as it is in your own work. I imagine there probably are those companies who claim ownership, but I do not purchase from them.
I honestly don’t think there is an issue here as long as the products are used respectfully 💕
Hugs, Donna
Thanks so much for your lovely comment Donna. I’m glad this has given you an idea for embellishing your gnome. Happy Creating 💕💕💕
Really like these Nina. TFS xx
Thanks Wendy 💕
Nina, it is great to know that we can make our own art, copy it, then add original inked stamps. We all want to honor the various Angel policies.
Thanks Katie. Copyright and Angel Policies are a minefield and as you say we all want to play by the rules 💕
Great buttons Nina! I watched Dees vid quit awhile back and one never tires of buttons!! 🤗
No, we can never have too many buttons 💕😘
Thank you so much Nina, all I can say is WOW 😮 WOW 😮 WOW 😮 those buttons are really really stunning and gorgeous and I really really love 💕 how you made them, and what a great 👍 idea 💡 making the template for the holes is. Genius xxxx Mags
Thanks Mags, glad you like them 💕
Thank you for the button tutorial. I am making Valentine cards and thought it would be nice to add heart-shaped buttons. Perfect timing!
How fabulous. They will be perfect ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love the buttons. I will make some and post on the Facebook group.
Happy Creating 💕
They are so cute !!
Thanks so much Josie 🥰
Nina you are a genius! I love your hard diligence on keeping us all busy and inspired! I love your accent, too!
Thank you so much Amy 💕
What a lovely idea Nina!
Thanks Yvonne 💕
I have just come across your video, and I must say I have seen several videos on how to make buttons, and I love yours. They are absolutely gorgeous and so easy to do. Thank you 💜
Nina 3 months later I found this absolutely gorgeous tutorial, thank you and will give it a whirl for a future project! Be safe, be well!
Thanks Marci. Aren’t these fun 💕
I just throw mine on the floor! Seriously! They often “unjam” by doing this, then punch some aluminum foil rough them
Thank you 😂💕
I love your buttons so much, TFS! I add Glossy Accents or Modge Podge Dimentional Magic to mine to give them a shinny bubbly top. I just shove a tooth pick or a wood skewer in the holes until dry so my holes don't close up.
Thanks so much Celine. I will probably add glossy or even bees wax to mine too 💕
I had a jammed circle punch! A male friend of mine was able to work it loose with a small mallet and screwdriver. He softly worked on it. The next time I used the punch, it stuck again, but I was able to dislodge it!
I used WD40 in the end as I was having no joy with my usual method. Apparently silicone is better as there is no residue 💕
You can use a wooden spoon handle if you have one to nudge the metal piece back into position. I have one that always gets stuck also.
Thanks Betsy, I’ll try that if it gets stuck again 💕
Terrific use of your masterboards, Nina! Thank you
Thanks so much Lynn, glad you like what I made 💕
Thank you for reminding me of making buttons. Yours are so pretty❣ Yes, Angel Policies, Copyright laws, Trademark laws all are some things to watch out for.
Thanks Patricia 💕
You already have my solution for stuck punches in your comments but to add my 2 cents, I use a screwdriver to pry them apart. I love your buttons but I have about 5 shoe boxes full of old buttons from my grandmother (she took buttons off all old clothes from 9 children during the depression till the 90's) so I have plenty of them for embellishments. Thanks Nina, I hope you have an awesome week.
Thanks Debbie. I must admit I have a whole box full too. I have no self control 💕😂🥰
Wow that’s shocking about the stamps 😮 I love your buttons so cute! 🤗🧚♀️
Thank you 💕
I have contacted companies before to ask what their angel policies are. If they aren't "angels" lol, then I use someone else that has an open angel policy. I find the UK has some wonderful companies with open angel policies! Love your work...
Thanks so much Sue. I hope you saw the pinned post in the comments, as Kylie and I have done a lot of research regarding this. Check it out if you haven’t seen it 💕
Beautiful work!
Thank you 💕
Gorgeous! Great idea! Thank you. 👍💜
Thank you 💕
Thank you so much Nina, I’ve watched this again, because I really really love 💕 those buttons, and your master boards are really really stunning and gorgeous. I’m making some buttons at the moment and you give me so much inspiration Nina you really really do xxx Mags
Thanks so much dear Mags. I’m glad you are enjoying making buttons yourself too. Happy Creating 💕💕💕 xxx
Another lovely way to use your master boards. I’d never thought about the angel policy either, however when you have stamps etc that are years old and you can’t remember where they’re from what do you do? Probably be wary of using them. Thanks Nina x
I think if we follow the rule scan then stamp, we should be fine 💕 x
Hi there. Very awesome. Tfs
Thank you 💕
