@@John49910110 naaaa, Cash’s version is good but it’s missing e hypnotic, mysterious and oddly intimate beat and synth of Springsteen’s version; not to mention Springsteen’s voice rlly drums home the intimacy and wistfulness of the song.
Bruce Springsteen is such a stud. Gorgeous. A real man, and an unbelievable singer/musician. His music is one of a kind, and in a class all its own. And I have to admit that I'm definitely on fire whenever I watch him. OMG, if I could ever meet him, my life would be complete. :)
Amazing how effectively seductive this song is, without a lot of lyrics. That’s one heck of a large crowd. Thank you, love that wordless part at the end.
It feels a bit weird seeing this song being performed during the daytime, as I've always associated it with a hot summer night, just like "Dancing in the dark". These two songs manage to capture that feeling of freedom and blooming nature so perfectly somehow.
Beautiful, haunting, peaceful, dramatic, all at the same time. Has other artist wrote so many classic songs? The sound the band got at a outdoor event was also brilliant. He ain’t called the Boss for no reason!
After all these years, I still get the chills when I hear this song. There is nothing like it, I imagine every bit of this song and replay the scenario in my head over and over. He is an incredibly sexy man, even at this age.
This was my first gig 😍 lucky enough to see Zac Brown, then Alabama Shakes, then the Black Crowes, and then Springsteen blazing through the entire Born in the USA album. Felt like the luckiest kid in the world that night.
This song has haunted me since I was a kid. Still does. So good! The most underrated song ever, should be longer. Classic. The best. Memories. Forever. This IS one his best songs... it hurts and pleases at the same time... I love it
I'm on fire watching him sing this song. ❤ Can’t stop watching these performances for the London show!!! So glad you shared this! This song has haunted me since I was a kid. Still does. So good!
Absolutely beautiful melody, we love you Bruce and your wonderful band. You light our soul, your music helps us find our way through pain and heart aches, thank you sir.
Good Lord, we need to listen to good music. Here is the proof of it. I want to tell the whole world that he is unique. Bruce, thank you for all the work you've done and making us happy with your music. You provide good times and bring us hope in these days so much in need of you. I hope to see soon on stage. Take care, Bruce. Be strong and may God keep you in good health. I could be listening to your music 24 hrs. a day non-stop. Thanks, you make everything a lot easier.❤❤❤
I have a heartwarming memory attached to this song. A few years back I went to my friends bachelor party for a weekend then family vacation then a personal vacation. I was on the move for 2 weeks and the day I finally got back home there was a beautiful thunderstorm for the whole day. It was that sweet late summer rain. So the girl I was kind of involved with hits me up and I wasn’t home for 2 weeks but I said screw it so we just talked and chilled watching the thunderstorm together while this song was playing in the background. We’re Not together but still a wholesome memory regardless
This IS one his best songs... it hurts and pleases at the same time... I love it This song has haunted me since I was a kid. Still does. So good! Respect for the palm-muted guitar 😃 its very hard to keep it going on and on for 3-4min 👍
The best music in town, The music of the 80' s with great artists such as The Boss, Madonna, Michael Jackson, etc. Great times to listen this magnificent music. Great singers with magnificent performances in concert. Thank you for the music of the 80's . We'll never forget these concerts and songs.
The Boss...he nailed it with this live rendition. He's definitely connected to the lyrics which I can tell by his moves with eyes closed...I'm on fire and I'm in heaven. Remember once on the highway, headed to LA, going through Arizona desert, the rising moon on the one side, the sun setting on the other side while listening to this jewel. Those were the days
No idea how many times I have watched this video. But having a possibility of writing 1000th comment, I thought I should go for it. A short song giving feeling of joy and sorrow at same time. Amazing camera work and wonderful singing.
Fantástica, Maravillosa, magnífica, preciosa, poner todos los adjetivos que queráis, THE BOSS, El Jefe. Amigo!!!!! TE AMO. Un gran abrazo desde España.
Imagine the exhilarating feeling of singing about the love of your life. I found the love of my life with this song. We have been sharing this exhilarating feeling together ever since. Thank you very much, Bruce 👏
What a god......wow...noone compares mate .. loved here in Australia by the country folk and the city slickers just as much ...mad never ending respect to U sir ❤
I have great memorys of that song when it came out and on the born in the usa tour. This is where i came in.The first show i ever saw in my life was,a show in Frankfurt Germany where Bruce and Band played the song. I remember the intro and the story that Bruce where tellin before he started singin.Still it sends shiver done my spine which happens to me always when a song touches my soul from way down inside.Later i saw the video and it is absolut realistic. You know this kind of feeling, when you don't know what to do and you full of expections, emotion, passion and fear to do the right thing. Like 》Should i call her up,...No i don't call her up,maybe shes bussy, maybe shes not alone.Should i wait or should i go.Should i listen to my heart or should i listen to my head..Thats exactly what this song means to me...
God, this whole concert that I'm dosing drop by drop is beautiful and America is so terribly far away, God, why was I born in the Czech Republic and the gate to America is so far away and closed....🙏🙏🙏
Oh my God, I was 12 years old when I bought this great album from pocket money myself, now I'm 53 years old, this album, this song I just can't get enough, it seizes me emotionally like the first time, thank you Bruce, for your great music, you've been accompanying me for 41 years now 🫵♥️♥️♥️✌️👍🤘🙏🇩🇪
I never saw him in concert however my little sister did back in the 1980s and she said he performed for four solid hours. Damn sure got your money's worth on seeing him. Pink Cadillac and this song or my favorite Bruce Springsteen songs for sure.

I think this was the transition to evening, he was just settling everyone down for the rest of the ride.
One of the best he does
You know he's one hell of a performer when a crowd of that size...grows silent.
This song is a masterpiece!

Really handsome man
I love this song, written and performed by Bruce Springsteen. It says a great deal in few words.
I love the fact that Bruce doesn't water his vocals down and hits every note just as he did on the studio cut.
lol what? his voice is nowhere near as good.
@@hotchowder I guess what I am saying is that he didn't shy away from attempting to hit the notes. Lol
actually i thought he made up for what age might've done to his voice with experience and little improvisations that elevate the whole thing.
