Max is 70 years old and he still can hammer those drums for hours on stage. Impressive.
He isn't called Mighty Max for nothing..
70 years is nothing this day and age. Keep yourself in shape and you are good to go. This lot are simply brilliant.
Love that man!
but this was 2013...
He sure can! Go max
I saw him in Paris in 1985. He opened with this. Imagine, most artists would save this for their last song.
1957PLATO You mean the concert that’s on RUclips also?
@F Peterson This song criticizes the United States. Read the lyrics.
I saw him in Sydney march 1985 then was in Paris and just missed his show by a couple of days
He opened with this song and and i thought i was having a heart attack cause the bass drum was going right through my body
@F Leo GTA very true. I'm from the UK. I took history. The Americans and Russia definitely helped win WW2
My dad got me into this guy when i was like 8 years old. Im now 47 and have since lost my dad. You can imagine what this does for me now......the song....the performance......the man.....the myth........the LEGEND. And yes i do mean both The Boss and my late father
Only The Boss can get a bunch of English people screaming "Born in the USA!"
SIENDO ESTOS LAS MADRES....
@Christian Frerichs ImproMusik you obviously don't know any Vietnam veterans. The words mean a lot to those men.
@@millerjohn619 I always considered that chorus line to stating the "curse" of not being able to choose where you've been born and the misfortunes you can be thrown in.
@JJAMES I agree with Chris. You don't have to agree, right? :) Patriotism sucks. Period.
Its because he ain't saying too good things about the USA n the limeys are happy.😂😂
Probably one of the most powerful and emotional songs of all time.
I would have to agree:)
Damn, this man has given me chills for like 40 years..Rock on ,Bruce!
Rock on Bruce! See you next year in Belgium🙏
Theres not another one like him!
SAME
I swear to god Max Weinberg is such an underrated drummer
That man rules! Such passion.
You don't need a big drum kit,to be the best drummer the world has ever seen 👍👍👋
@@martincampbell1461 John bonham proved that
Fucking legend 🥁
what was Bruce screaming at Max
Off course back in the days this was a protestsong. I love how he is still so pasionate when he sings it. The war is long over, but he really stands by his lyrics till this day. Love the passion and anger he puts in the song.
It's because not much has changed since the song was written. The problems he was describing are all still there.
As Lane says, little has changed. The song is about workers being signed up to do terrible things for the wealthy and in the process losing their friends and coming home to realise they were just used and abused and there's nothing for them. That hasn't changed much. Workers are still getting exploited, they only want you while you're useful.
America is a shit place with the people on top as criminals since the beginning. Sad but true.
War never ended
After the Vietnam War you would have thought the USA would not have fought a long war again! 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤯🤯🤯🤯The WAR in Iraq ,then a horrific 20 year War in Afghanistan!!!! Too bad the USA didn't listen to REPUBLICAN President Dwight David Eisenhower, the Commander of the D- Day Invasion June 6,1941! He warned us to "Beware the MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX!" Should have listened to General IKE! And FYI, when Eisenhower was President the Rich also PAID their fair share of TAXES ! Unfortunately, the USA has gone steadily downhill. Both parties REICH WING REPUBLICANS and CORPORATE DEMOCRATS are bought and PAID for by CORPORATE AMERICA! Bernie Sanders is the ONLY PROGRESSIVE ! Unfortunately, PROGRESSIVE people are never listened to in the USA ! PROGRESSIVE Thomas Paine wanted to Free the slaves & give women the right to vote in 1776! He also wrote The Rights of Man & COMMON SENSE! When has the USA ever had COMMON SENSE?????Just an observation by a German - Swiss American! And FYI, my Great-Uncle died on a beach in Anzio, Italy FIGHTING AGAINST FASCISTS. He was a Staff Sgt in the US Army. He and many other WWII soldiers must be rolling in their graves right now! 🇩🇪🇨🇭🇺🇲💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Bruce is one of the best American Artists and I’m loving His music …. ❤❤❤❤
Max is pure fire & power on those drums🔥🤘long may you run - we love YOU
His son Jay is like this too.
Absolute FIRE
It's incredible how the most of the crowd is standing still, hypnotized by the performance rather than dancing and cheering like they are doing for the other songs.
One Export to be Proud of from the USA lately ......Bruce and E Street .
Thanks for the love and support . I decided to take out time today out of my busy schedule to get close to my fans and know their thoughts towards my career and I came across you through my official RUclips CHANNEL insight.
The drummer is totally amazing, would be hard to find one like that these days 👍🔥
You should see his son play in slipknot. Jay is a monster of a drummer.
Hello, how are you doing today? Thanks for your love and support.
There is not a artist on this planet thats get close to the Boss live on stage he is the best
freddie mercury was probably one of the greatest showman in the rock industry
@@TheJmerrell I love Queen and Freddie was special in many ways, but Springsteen live on stage with the E Street band is wicked and nothing come close to that. Bruce live on stage is the best and that's why people travel the world to see him play

Without a doubt, one of the most iconic and easily recognised songs ever made. Just a few opening bars, and it's obvious what it is....
...and one of the most often misunderstood ones!
@@claus-martincremer5984 I was just gonna post that! Most people hear the chorus and think it's merely a superficial patriotic anthem of some kind.
Fantastic tune
@@Dizzy1980 whats the message?
@@mickeskogen3184 It's a story about America's involvement in Vietnam from the soliders' perspective.
The BOSS and The Drummer ... USA in the heart of UK 👍👍👍

He is also quite funny when paired with Conan O'Brien.

This song gives me the chills and I'm not even an American.
According to your surname you are italian or you have got italian origins, right?
@@simonebertarini2359 Nah! I'm from India. 🇮🇳
it's an anti-america title. americans aren't "born in the usa," because the very defintion of the usa is that all people are created equal. people are not born into a nation or country. we don't support the bloodline/birthright mentality.
It's a fantastic protest song.
@@wworld00 no you don't understand. it's not a protest song: the repeatedly screamed title is a brainwashing technique to promote bloodline and birthright entitlement. it's not a protest. it's undermining the foundation of the united states:
according to the united states, nobody is born into countries. all of humanity is equal and free according to nature's god and we CHOOSE countries, nations, and citizenships.
Thanks Boss for this song! I am born in switzerland but for sure my heart is made in the states like a big old V8. There is nothing better in life than drive an old musclecar while listening to born in the usa.
Underrated comment
But an American at heart. From America welcome and we love our Swiss neighbors

Bruce is a living legend
Was 4 years old when the album came out. Was six years old when i listened to the song from my dad's cassette tape. Every sunday he would have just replayed those songs from the cassette tape and vinyl. So much good memories.
My mom was born on the same day and year of the Boss, she's not well, hope i can treat her on a concert near The Netherlands soon.
