Hands down this is the Greatest live act in the history of any format of music !.. I'm not talking one 20 minute performance ( Queen Live AID.. and absolutely no disrespect to them.. They were fantastic !) But,Bruce never walked on stage with intent on giving less than EVERYTHING! .. I also believe the same to be true of the late great purple guitar slaying Prince but, Bruce edges him out by catalog and The mighty E Street Band.. That's just my opinion, but Prince or Springsteen = Fact !.. There is no other contenders.. This video is only one thirtieth of that night !!

I was at the Philadelphia show for this tour, Amnesty International. JFK Stadium, held 102,000 people. It was a perfect night. From Tracy Chapman to Sting to Peter Gabriel (w/Youssou N'Dour) then Bruce. Each was so powerful. He also did an amazing performance of Jungleland that night.

The audience is great too!
The best version I've ever seen 😮
Bruce Springsteen is an amazing musician!!!! Born in the USA is my favorite Springsteen record.
Me too !
@@platocheforever579 except that it's impossible for any person to be born in the usa, because the usa is like the only country that declared that all people are born free of government and countries.
so, saying you are "born in the usa" is a complete lie for everybody, including the singer.
Agreed
Then you never heard of Jimi Hendrix, or Joe Cocker, Eric Clapton and many others.
@@kristashelby4260 I'm not saying those men weren't great performers because they were !.. but, there's only one spot for the very best , if it's not Springsteen, which I think is , then who ?.. it can only be one... There are and have been many great live performers but, Bruce is in a class with no others , not because he's a great singer because he isn't but, he's far from bad ... His voice services his message... What makes him the greatest is obvious if you're ever watched him performer , he simply gives everything and beyond , he plays for 3 to 4 hours , and it's everything on the line the whole time.. I am a huge fan of music , I believe it's one of the most important things on earth.. it's a soundtrack of our life.. .and again those are greats that you mentioned but , if aliens wanted to see our best showman .. I personally say E.T meet BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCE!
Agree
Have to agree I mean how he goes through a 3 hr set of not longer and his concerts were legendary as you didn’t know what songs he d play as he d vary night to night and the band had to be clued in , the raw poet and possession of the songs performed mind blowing in intensity and delivery ! Truly mesmerising every night different
I’m almost crying, it’s so damn good
I saw them live in 1985 in Lexington, KY and they opened with this. And totally entertained for three or so hours more.
I had seen him/them live in 1978 in Louisville, KY B4. Bruce is something else. Like noone else. He is really something...one of my heroes.
White Wolf I am crying... it’s that damn good! ❤️
Same here in 2021
@@JJJZANESVILLE2 I am about to play gta 5, and let's not forget about journey "don't stop believen"
Thanks to all the men who fought in Vietnam, you are the real heroes!
The most iconic and powerful concert ever! Thanks Boss!
My fav live version soooooo good 🎉🎉🎉🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Yestaerday, We saw him at live in Barcelona... Incredible!!!!!... He really is "THE BOSS"😎❤❤❤

No one can pump up a crowd like Bruce 🥰
Lord have mercy Bruce! You have been extremely blessed with talent and I am in love
Hearing international concerts from the 80's - 90's and the thousands of people singing in respect to America is really such a great feeling. America sure has taken a step down the ladder rung since then.
You know this song is far from patriotic right ? I recommend you read the lyrics more than just the title.
Freedom Star this song isn’t saying the us is great have you listened to the lyrics? It’s about how Vietnam veterans were treated awfully. Listen to the line had a friend at khe San fighting off the viet cong there still there but he’s all gone
Thank you for good music. Love
Look at that. Living in the moment enjoying every second of it. Unlike todays concerts where your there live but watching thru your phone recording
wow…. yo estuve ahí. Fue impresionante. tenia 17 años jajaja. Inolvidable recital
The fact that this is in Argentina is astounding to me.
look at the crowd at 5:02 !
Mindboggingly good.
I love this song. Been listening since i was in elementary school as late as 8. Probably earlier. But that's as far back as I remember. You always speak truth. You rock Bruce Springsteen!
This is my favorite version
Never been so proud to be from Jersey...everyone stand the BOSS has entered the room!
Magical, unforgettable and purely sublime!!!
Argentina, take a bow. That's how you make a concert go boom. What fucking energy! You guys are absolute badasses. 🇦🇷 🇺🇸

Best live performance of any song , any artist ever..
nothing more exciting on stage live, THAN BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN EVER, saw this concert live at Wembley.
Even if you think your government is crap, the great thing about being in a western country is you can release a song like this.
Yeah. But the government wasn't crap back then.
@@jshepard152 It was pretty bad.
@@jshepard152 this is literally a protest song lol

I didn't say otherwise.
@@jshepard152 if the government wasn’t crap why would they be writing protest songs?
Especially a man as patriotic as Bruce Springsteen.
Edit: Grammar
I've been to a lot of concerts but I would trade them all just to be here that night

@@elygiaAmerica is beautiful, but it was never that great. Life isn't that great, and the way our society works doesn't help much. This song was written about Vietnam, which as you know started in the 50s and went through the 70s. What America do you want to go back to? Segregation and women's suffrage? The industrial revolution? Dysentery and killing the Indians?
