Arsenio Hall in my opinion doesn’t get the credit he deserves. His show was everything. Literally had the biggest names during that time appear. Arsenio deserves his flowers. Can’t forget his controversial episodes too.
He set the standard for sure!
@@JR-wu8dc 💯Agree
I was literally either not born or just born and knew how impactful that show was for America’s/90s culture. And was heavily referenced
It was well put together to have a talk show. But looking back it should have premiered 3 years earlier
I remember he was so racist and treated Vanilla Ice very bad. He was very rude and argumentative towards people in the audience.
Never forget on Full House when Michelle snuck out of her bedroom and went to the living room to watch The Arsenio Hall Show
Season 4 Episode 2 Michelle's Crimes & Misdemeanors
I remember that episode. Being the same age as Michelle at that time, I too would do the same. I would sneak out of my room and hope that our squeaky stairs wouldn’t snitch on me and wake my parents up. Lol 😂 I miss those days. 😢😂
@@itoro22I did the same thing lol
Arsenio was so much better than all the other late night hosts, all of them.
Nope
👎👎👎👎👎👎
Carson was king.
Arsenio introduced the mainstream to a lot of alternative rock and Hip-Hop artists. The type of artists that the other shows avoided.
What do you mean by that ?
@@lexkanyima2195 the other late night shows wasn't booking young cutting edge artists. Arsenio was..
@@blackdragon6 is that a issue ?
The Arsenio Hall show brought people together. White, black ,rich poor, fat, skinny...we were barkin' like dogs in the 2nd grade😂. Also, seeing Arsenio on Celebrity Apprentice was everything because him, Lil Jon and Clay Aiken were in the top 3. Let that sink in🤌🏿.
It was a legit talk show
The Arsenio Hall Show was everything back in the 90s. He remembered watching his show when I was a kid. He brought out the biggest names in the showbiz to his show. The audiences loved him and they wanted more of him. Arsenio Hall was the man who gave us hope for the fact that anybody can do a talk show now.
Arsenio doesnt get the credit he deserves; not only for his show but playing Rev Brown in Coming To America 🙏🏾 just iconic ❤
He helped Gilligaaaan get off the island! 🏝️😂
"The Hugh Hefner on HIGH!" 😂😂
I remember getting in trouble in school for doing the “whoop whoop whoop whoop” in school. The teachers hated when we did that lol
Let's not forget the night when Michael Jackson made a surprise guest appearance on The Arsenio Hall Show in November 1989 and also with Arsenio Hall co-starring on Sammo Hung's Martial Law
Y'all give it up for Juicy Pop for keeping these videos coming and taking us a stroll down memory lane with a real one in Mr. Arsenio Hall.....WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF
LMAO I DID MY FIST AND WAS LOUD AF IN THIS HOUSE 🤣🤣
The Arsenio Hall Show:Late 80s-Mid 90s Late Night Classic…..music artists through the years were introduced to the world and Arsenio should make a shirt with his trademark saying:Let’s Get Busy……still missed to this day……
THIS is the one! He is such an icon who def doesnt get his flowers
Right! 💯 He was a staple in the 90's❤ definitely a child hood memory
I always give credit to arsenio hall & his show for my dream of being a late night talk show host. We didnt have many, if any, blacks who were doing it let alone successful. Much respect!
?????????
The show created an outlet for black artists and people who couldn’t get on other late night shows. It was groundbreaking. And he was funny and entertaining . Things that makes you go Hummm. Love that segment!
Still use that today!
He also brought on his performers without signal processing to let the general public see who was talented and who wasn't!
@@MitchMitch77-77Arsenio had the charisma
The good ol' days 😅🥰 when you stay up to watch Arsenio, SNL, Showtime at the Apollo, and never disappointed that you lose a bit of sleep. Arsenio Hall always delivered excitement, laughs, fun. Thank you for the hi-lights, Juicy Pop. 🥰
The Arsenio Hall was off the hook back in the day. He had guests like WWE Hall of Famers like Hulk Hogan and the late Ultimate Warrior. Also, I think he was undercover Hard Rock Heavy Metal fan. Because he had musical acts like KISS, Winger, and Megadeth on the show too.
The WWF's era was really short lived for Arsenio. He could atleast have Bret Hart
I loved the interviews with Macho Man Randy Savage and Arsenio
The Arsenio Hall show is Iconic, so many memories, awesome video!! 👏🏾🔥⭐️
Thanks for watching.🥰
@@JuicyPopEntertainment5:01 me too.
In 1989 I moved out of my mom's home and got my first apt. and watching "The Arsenio Hall Show" in my OWN place was soooooooooooooo FREAKN' AWESIOME! Man, I miss those days.
Bill Clinton playing the sax on AH was mentioned in the opening credits of the Animaniacs!
I wrote this before it was mentioned circa @10:17
I knew the Queer Nation situation would be brought up 😂😂
The interviews and the musical performances were the best on the Arsenio Hall Show
My Mom watched him EVERY night! I was only 10 in 89. A few years later I was up watching the Arsenio Hall show😂.
'Lets Get Busy!' I stayed up plenty of nights looking at this show. The best late night show ever.
@justmarguax9207
Couldn't agree more!! My mom would beat my ass each time she caught me watching Arsenio on a school night😂 Good, and painful, memories!!
BEST indeed! Never another one like it! ❤
Yes. Can you do a story on the Ricki Lake Show, The Jenny Jones Show!!!!
Stay tuned!
That theme song forever lives in my head rent-free.
"Go Ricki! Go Ricki!"
Loved both of those talk shows !!
@@JuicyPopEntertainment4:02 wow 😣😳.
Nostalgic as it's best!
Dog pound
Luv the channel!!
Thanks for your support.🥰
@@JuicyPopEntertainment4:40 you're welcome 🤗😁.
The barking from the audience was ICONIC! You HAVE to do that right after you say his name! 🤣🙌🏾 The crowd participation on that show is unmatched!
I was too young to stay up late for his show, but i would put my volume really low and try to watch. Idk how many times my gramma(shes raised me) caught me watching. 😂
Arsenio’s a legend!
The Arsenio Hall show was must see tv back when it debutted, everyone who was anyone were on this show.I also liked the Party Machine even if it didn't last long, had a-HUGE-crush on Nia Peoples too. LOL.The 90s were lit !!!! Films,tv shows and music were top notch and we didn't have as much mess in america as we do now. Thanks for the nostalgic ride down memory lane.
Nia is not black
@@lexkanyima2195 I know, but, she was so-GORGEOUS-back then and I was crushing on her. LOL.
"Let's get busy!"
I wish I was born in the 80’s so I could experience how great this show was. I was too young when it went off the air 😕
That In Living Color sketch is ICONIC 😂😂😂🤣😂🤣🤣 the high/big rump & super long fingers I was like wth😂😂 Tommy Davidson wrote in his book that Keenan Ivory Wayans was friends with Arsenio & he called Keenan out for making fun of someone that was supposed to be his “friend”.
I love this channel! If it’s not too much trouble, could you analyze the following shows:
The Parent ‘Hood
The Wayans Bros.
Cousin Skeeter
My Brother and Me
Tyler Perry’s House of Payne
George Lopez
Taina
Home Improvement
The Nanny
Everybody Loves Raymond
Everybody Hates Chris
The King of Queens
The Game
Boy Meets World
Seinfeld
Are We There Yet?
Soul Train
Why isn't the Arsenio hall show in reruns somewhere. The Arsenio hall show, Martin, and def comedy jam meant so much to us in the 90s❤
He was the spark that late night tv REALLY NEEDED! Makes you wonder 🤔 what he's up to these days? Hope all is well with him! One of the 🐐s!
Damn as older millennial myself, the arsenio hall show was the ishhh! They don't make em like this anymore but if I had to pick the most memorable guest on his show was the late macho man randy savage which he made 3x appearances rip. The second would be when Eddie Murphy and Michael jackson rip all appeared all together. Good times and arsenio doesn't get his flowers.
Juicy pop has to cover Living Dolls featuring my girl Halle Berry 🥹
Arsenio is such a GIFTED comic and talk show host! Late nights are not the same without him! Watched him as a kid decades ago and later as an adult when he had the reboot. I wish the reboot of his ICONIC show had lasted longer. The band was EVERYTHING! Arsenio DESERVES his flowers and then some! 💐💐💐💐💐💐
I used to nap to watch Arsenio Hall. He had the best late night show.
Nobody did it like Arsenio!!!!!!!
The Arsenio Hall show was the BEST late night talk show ever!!!!!!
I stayed up every night to watch the show.
When someone calls Arsenio out on his blackness, they really need to look at his old show
Arsenio provided a platform for so many young black talents. Comedy, R&B, Hip-Hop, you name it- Arsenio put them front & center for the world to see. I have the utmost respect for him for that, and I wish I was old enough to have witnessed it in real time.
I was born in the early 90s so I didn’t get to “experience” the Arsenio Hall show, but as a student of broadcast entertainment, I realized how monumental Arsenal was at the time! Clips of his show aged well and are real interesting. Loved what he did for Black entertainment
???
@@lexkanyima2195 yes?
Arsenio is the 90's ! He doesn't receive enough credit and I honestly don't believe he was cut just because of Farrakhan, but he was Black man with a beyond popular late night talk show host that was receiving too much power and he refused to bow 🤷🏾.
I was disappointed when we didn't survive when he came back the 2nd time, I thought it was great. I would love to see him do a RUclips version of Arsenio Hall Show
I just LOVED the Arsenio Hall show, and Arsenio definitely deserves his flowers💐🙌🏽🙌🏽🫶🏼
Love Arsenio Hall. I remember he tried to doing show again in a funny way on the one episode of Real Husbands of Hollywood😂
I remember that too. It was hilarious.
I loved this show
I remember being in the audience for the revival of The Arsenio Hall Show premiere with Snoop Dogg. It was cool, but it wasn't the same. I think I went to another taping with Gary Clark Jr. too.
Thank you for this video. I would sneak out of bed on school nights to watch this show. Can we please get videos on the following talk shows:
Oprah
The Chris Rock Show
The Montell Williams Show
The Tyra Banks Show
Yes, yes, yes and yes!
@@JuicyPopEntertainment3:28 can't wait for that.
I Never Knew Arsenio Had An Issue With The Wayans Because Of A Early Episode of In Living Color (Season 1) Poking Fun Of Him. He Didn’t Allow None of Them On His Show. Great Video and Good Looks.
Shawn n Marlon was on there
Damon,Shawn, and Marlon were on his show.
@@jaylene.turner6524 oh 😮 Well Shut My Mouth Wife Open!
Great story on The Arsenio Hall Show
Nostalgic and so classic
Thank you for doing a video about 6:02 Arsenio Hall. I love The Arsenio Hall Show so much, and I really miss the show. One of the best shows ever. I hope that the show will come back. God bless Arsenio, and everyone!🙏💜
Thanks for these nuggets you provide us....😊. With doses of nostalgia put in as well ❤.
I had no idea this show was going through this 😮, I was a kid and I thought this show was everything. Goes to show no pun intended you never really know what Celebrities of African descent goes through... such a shame. this show deserves more credit than what it received
Another memorable moment from The Arsenio Hall Show was when Rob and Fab(formally Milli Vanilli) appeared and performed live for the first time since the infamous lip syncing scandal using thier actual singing voices. Though Rob still needed a little more polish, they proved that they could actually sing and didn't need to lip sync after all. Rob and Fab were trying to redeem themselves and make a comeback, but the scandal was still too fresh in people's minds, and the comeback never happened.
Arsênio Hall needs a Podcast. He'd do better on his own
OMG Juicy Pop I've been waiting on this episode. The Arsenio Hall Show was my favorite talk show ever. As a true and fellow Aquarian, he stood up for what he believed in. I love the episode where he put Vanilla Ice on blast for lying about his background, I always knew that him and the Wayans Family had beef that's why he never had them on his show, Arsenio Hall also has strong competition with David Letterman and Jay Leno. Their talk shows ratings were ski rocketing. But back in 1992 when "Martin" came out on FOX and his show took off with high ratings, the same with "Living Single" in 1993, The Arsenio Hall Show, ROC, and In Living Color all went off the air in May of 1994.
What do you mean ?
The farrakhan interview did him in
He said he did that on l purpose cause he was done
Great video!! Juicy Pop, this show was the BOMB! Thank you for highlighting him
"Arsenio Hall" was the man back in the 90's....His show was so iconic....Who's cooler than a big arse & a flat top....lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
5:07 In Living Color received the same criticism when Keenen Ivory Wayans was asked why there weren't more black writers on his show lmao
Great video!!! I remember getting sent the video of Arsenio defending himself, It's shame that his show ended. Oprah was mad at someone for spending false info on her, that is interesting?
Arsenic hall came on so late when I was young...I used to sneak n watch..my mama often forgave me tho 😊 then when it came back I couldn't enjoy it often. Because it was my bedtime for work.
Madonna should have saved her hostility for the surgeon who did her BBL….
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤my mom had let me watch Arsenio Hall show ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤great show #1 at 10 pm
1 of my favorite late night shows of all time besides Johnny Carson & Dave Letterman. Also he also co starred with Sammo Hung in Martial Law. My other favorite show
I remember when this first came on, it aired on 11pm or 11:30pm and then as years went by, they changed the time slot to midnight. I never understood that.
OMG Good Times ❤️
Love this one ❤
Thank You
Arsenio's late night talk show was much better than Jay Leno/David Letterman shows combined. Arsenio was more hipper, cool show and he had a direct line to superstars like Eddie Murphy, Whitney Houston, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson and other big time talent who would just show up to his show just to hang out. His audience had stars in the seats. Lots of funny business went on behind the scenes especially from Jay Leno's team telling guests that they couldn't go on Arsenio if they wanted to be on Jay's show and more underhanded shady dealings. Arsenio's show should have been a hand over show just like Letterman and Leno's which they inherited from the hosts before them and had people succeed them- a continuation.
HIM AN EDDY WAS SUS
I LOVED this show!
I remember in college going to see his show back in 2013-2014. I’m glad I was able to see the show, it was pretty cool
Thank you, thank you, thank you and thank you agian for this video.
Watching Aresnio Hall was a HUGE part of my childhood. As a kid, I wanted be famous & always said I wanted to be on his show.
I remember watching the reboot and it just didn't have that same magic & energy the original one did.
Respek bro. Very insightful analysis. My own be say wizkid go soon enter rehab.
Arsenio Hall Show was our Johnny Carson he let controversial people and acts come on his show and I blame the networks that kept pushing his show time frame back in which it was hard for people to watch,I really do miss his show because these other late night shows just really sucks
Yasssss wooooooot wooooooot ❤❤❤❤❤❤
wassup with the dracula look at the end
6:31wow, the arsenio hall show.
7:09 I miss that show.
Do one about that's 70's show.
I think we all already know about what went on there 😢
We big homie had the bloods & crips on there it was the beginning of the end factz.🤘🏾👌🏾 🚩.
It a lot of OG'z frm back then that are gone now may god rest they soul.
Still going through all of your videos and they are all great! Have you ever considered doing a "What happened to" video featuring SWV or exscape?
Loved growing up in this time period when Arsenio was at his peak and all the kids in school would do the barking and hand gestures to go along with it.
"I'm watching, Arsenio..."
- Michelle Tanner
He was definitely an entertaining talk show host late night of course
*As a Black young gay child born in the 80’s Arsenio Hall homophobia truly broke my heart. I can remember very vividly watching his show with Magic Johnson on and afterwards staying up pondering if rather or not I should delete myself. His comments towards the LGBTQ community affected me tremendously* 😢
Pat Sajak is still doing Wheel of Fortune till this day is like the man is Immortal I swear
As a Steelers fan, I tried not to hold that Dawg Pound mess against him, but I did. It was still a great show and lots of my favorite emcees got shine on his platform.
The 🐐.
Aresno hall is a legend
The Arsenio Hall Show was argumentatively the best late night talk show ever. They debuted all those other shows in his time slot intentionally because they didn’t want a Black talk show host to be number one.
I think Arsenio Hall did and still getting his flowers for paving the way of Black, Male comedians for his work as an actor & late night talk show host. For those who say he hasn't or not recognized enough, must be young. This man is definitely known for his great work over a few decades 👏👏👏❤.
Arsenio didn't break barriers
I couldn't help but think about LeBron James when hearing that taking my talent line 😂
OAN: I had forgotten about this show.
The Arsenio Hall Show >
David Letterman & Jay Leno 🤷♀️
Neva knew He Hosted "The Late Shòw"
7:37 Lol
3:35 Now it makes sense about dat Expression.
He got Elizabeth Taylor on his show way before Johnny Carson did. She went on his show like 2 weeks later. All during the 60s, 70s and 80s. Nope! 😊
