I would love Mysterious Challenger to be seen more in a positive light. I love his artwork and voice lines and his effect is inherently cool. It's just that the deck he ended up being best in was just dirty good and unfun.

+Corsair Joshua Well now when you play Mysterious Challenger having redemption hit the Noble Sacrifice kind of sucks because all you get is a 2/1. The only time its "Good" is if the MC is killed by a spell and even then you get a 6/1. All in all MC without avenge sucks because the secret combination really doesn't work.

+Håkon Karlsen Pretty much. There are so many okay/good deathrattle minions that can easily replace the old GvG/Naxx Secret paladin cards(Muster, Shielded Minibot, Shredder, Loatheb), then you just add N'zoth and you have a strong 10 drop if it gets to that stage.

Maybe, but this deck seems to be a bit faster. It's just a variant, with the "non-N'Zoth cards" being replaced with Secret Paladin cards.
+Håkon Karlsen Ye if you just want to rank up, but that's not the point of these videos. Anyone can just net deck off hearthpwn, but we have to remember even those decks came from somewhere. You can also argue why should I play Nzoth pally when I can play aggro shaman.
+hfasoihdi1ha4 The argument for why you should play Nzoth pally or some such is because those decks are actually interesting to play. Aggro decks are painfully boring to play against and painfully boring to play with. The only aggro deck I enjoyed playing was the murloc one kripp came up with, and that's because there are a lot more interesting interactions than most other aggro decks. Even then, I still don't play it much, because I would rather play longer, more interesting matches.

seanmikael nothing really, it's just that N'zoth paladin is already an established powerful deck. Usually his decks are a bit more creative that's all

Achat sure, but control paladin doesn't have to include N'Zoth. It's just popular at the moment. Also... the deck is called N'Zoth Pally... I know it's a control deck, thats just what it's called.

loved mid range pally before standard, never liked playing a Dr 6 deck though. might try this one ought!
Thanks Krip. You've been one of the few people to innovate deck archetypes. Everyone else seems to be playing decks primarily focused on the old gods. Would like to see more of this!

Right now the cheapest good deck to play is probably midrange shaman, with thing from below and flame wreathed. It's pretty good and I think it only costs like 1600 dust
just play any zoo you can come up with. just put as many 1-drops as you can, if you don't have that many cards, and its gonna be fine
+Captain_Nerdrage It's a pitty these are almost always aggro decks cause most midrange or controll decks often require one or more expensive cards like legendaries.

I made the deck when the expansion just came out, but I didn't think of the redemption value. I only cared about the tempo, strong 1, 2, 3, etc, and it worked fairly well. The problem is that the secrets aren't that strong to play them. Though it is always fun to try new things out :)
I remember that tourney. I love how he also said he had never played it but someone he knew said it was amazing so he just went for it. Also i think it was a team league.
i didn't do the league of explorers so I had to substitute the keepers for a secret eater and another infested tauren but it works fine for me and the secret eater has great utility
What was the actual deck list? The one in the preview differed greatly from the one in the matches.
What about adding some way of healing at early?

Is Rallying blade chosen simply to have greater early game removal rather for it's divine shield synergy? I see the deck used to run more divine shield minions but it seems to have retained it's place with a dearth in the final version.

Why is everyone worried about secret paladin coming back? If it comes back just play Eater of secrets. BOOM! Problem solved.
because having to make a deck that includes 1 tech card that would "counter" only 3 classes in the game is just ridiculous. on top of that, the dependence of drawing 1 card out of 30 or making your deck worse by including 2 of. You want an answer for secret pally: flare. SP is beatable but it's just one of the most tedious deck to deal with; not to mention running a strictly anti-secret pally deck in ladder is stupid. So why just not bring back secret pally, and go back to enjoying playing against every type of c'thun deck, zoolock or aggro 7-7 I mean shaman
+AF ARaider Well I wasn't suggesting teching in a card if your not facing enough of them so ya playing an anti secret deck in ladder would be stupid right now. Flare is a class card so if you don't play hunter and you want to remove secrets than your going to need something else and Eater of secrets fills that perfectly. Plus like any tech card your always going to have the problem of not drawing your outs and it would be the same for flare. That's why you need to hard Mulligan for them if the match up is a problem for you. You would only run two of them if every deck you were facing is secret heavy. One of is fine if they're heavily prevalent but not all the decks. This being said even when secret paladin was in its prime you could get by just fine by just properly playing around their secrets. I'm merely stating that this rampant fear of the deck returning is unfounded when it's lost most of its best cards and now every class has access to a good hard counter to them.

But that's what makes secret so annoying in general. SP isn't in the meta right now, and yeah I don't see it coming back any time soon, but it's understandable to see people react angrily towards this video; sp was almost traumatic lol

This deck "Secretino Kripperino" as I called it actually works. And It's fun! It's my first Secret Paladin I did not follow the meta before. Of course control decks will absolutely destroy you if they get all the answers when they need them.... Other people get properly confused at your "outdated" plays :)

You must have gotten pretty lucky those games. I played this exact deck in casual pretty well and I'm currently 0 3 with it. I usually just draw my secrets so mysterious challenger just gets 1 or even none.
Redemption + Infested Tauren is actually really good! O_O
The pecking order is:
Zoo decks > Combo decks > Midrange decks > Basic decks > Maggots > The dirt where the maggots are > Rubbish > Nuclear waste > Recruits > Control decks > Fatigue decks

I feel like a big strength of the deck is being able to utilize wild pyromancer way better.
Usually when you'd play a control pally the card would be kind of awkward. You pretty much have to include it because of how good it is with equality but if you wouldn't get the combo you'd have such a bad time making use of the card since you hardly run spells, especially no cheap ones.
+Krunschy It's true. The 1 Mana spells will really help against the aggro warlock matchup as we have seen. I will try to make a deck... Oh god what have I become

Your wrong, if he p,ayed leeroy first it fills the entire board for kripp, so nobal sac wont trigger

There should be a two mana embrace the face Hunter card which gives the enemy hero taunt this turn only.

And thats is how you made yourself look like a fool in the internet, if he played leeroy first it would summon 2 1-1 for kripp, which means his board is full, and nobal sac wont proc if the board is full

first game basically just shows that you can be brainless af and still get with zoo to rank 5

+Atlas I agree with that statement... the real challange starts from rank 5 and below. All games at this point will be against these few well established decks with people playing them acordingly.. you actually have to work to have a 50/50 win rate, and to have either a F2P account that you played on for a while... or to put some money to get these key legendary cards.... I know so many people stopping to rank up at 5 just to get that chest... Boy - I am actually part of them on some occasions.
