    Do you agree with me that Pimax could simply solve their housing problem by clearly tagging their new version housings that do not crack with little "v2 housing" stickers? Like this, they would give people peace of mind, in my opinion. What do you think?

    • @csgamer11
      @csgamer11 4 года назад +6

      They should not. Supposedly the cracking reappeared recently because they had to temporarily
      do some housings in a less efficient way(manual labour if i recall correctly). So adding a sticker would
      not be a good solution since it is not yet 100% solved as that incident showed.
      Adding a sticker would only cause more confusion as it would mean people without the sticker would believe
      they have the bad housing even if the actually has the good housing. The sticker must come when a major
      change happens. Not after.

      sorry but what mean inside-out?

    • @tinovfr
      @tinovfr 4 года назад +1

      qqm0are inside-out means that the headset itself tracks your head and controller position via integrated cameras (currently 2-6 cameras are possible) in the headset. The opposite is outside-in with lighthouse base stations you have to position around you in the right way. With inside-out you can get rid of these boxes (you need 2 for full 360 degree tracking) with less space and effort but with the cost of less precise tracking, but still very good. Also PSVR is outside-in with front camera who looks for the lighted balls. Good inside-out Headsets are Oculus Quest and Rift S, Samsung Odysee+ (old 2 camera WMR) and the upcoming superb HP Reverb G2 (new 4 camera WMR). Bad example for inside-out is Vive Cosmos with 6 cameras but bad implementation. Inside-out together with a VR notebook is very mobile and easy to use, the Quest is even a full VR system in itself wirelessly but also just with mobile graphics performance. Hope that helps a bit for explanation.

None of the Pimax do right now1 jolt to the left or right and you are seeing the edge, edge banners or the other side of 180fov video. I am sure it is great for gaming, but I can't see myself using watching 180fov video. It would just not be immersive at all. It's hard to sit without any movements at all!!!! It may be good, perhaps, for normal non VR video, like watching a regular movie. Maybe the industry should start evolving and bringing 220FOV+ video content. Any thoughts?

    • @CaseTheCorvetteMan
      @CaseTheCorvetteMan 4 года назад +2

      Youre not working on these for free at all mate, youre getting thousands of dollars in equipment for free... That is being paid.
      And no one is suggesting jealous intent here, simply that i am confused at what exactly your statement intends to imply, something which you have added no clarification to with your comment at all.
      If you working so hard these reviews was free, you would be paying for the items you review, but when a company sends you thousands of dollars worth of VR headsets, and you spend a few hours making reasonably good quality videos reviewing them, you are NOT working, youre playing games, you are not doing it free, the company PAID you to review their product when they sent it to you free.

    • @mixedrealityTV
      @mixedrealityTV  4 года назад

      Let me make it perfectly clear, getting these headsets "for free" is just really different for me than if the company would send those headset to a consumer like you. I am providing fair reviews that can be positive or negative. No matter if I get those "for free" or if I have to buy them. And you benefit from that, because you can make an educated purchasing decision. Being jealous of me having these products a bit earlier than you is just so incredibly short sighted and frankly speaking quite petty. Again, if you take offense in me getting access to these devices early and "for free" , why dont you first produce north of 600 videos on the matter and travel around the world to visit industry events on your own expenses to report from them. Then you might also get a headset "for free".

    • @CaseTheCorvetteMan
      @CaseTheCorvetteMan 4 года назад +1

      Youre not getting it really are you.
      Im not jealous at all. Not one bit, i work a real job and can easily afford to buy the headsets, i have two myself, mostly because Pimax is so piss poor with their customer service and take so long to sort out RMA that i bought a replacement rather than waiting.
      My comments regarding you getting these items free and early is to further highlight just how ordinary the Pimax customer service system really is, the paying customers such as myself, and more over, the backers, wait outrageous amounts of time for these people to get their act together. It is far from a dig at you, although since you decided to claim you do your reviews for free (which you dont, the companies pay you by giving you their products) and theyre such a benefit to me (somewhat subjective), its like you think youre the only one out there reviewing these things (there are quite a few)
      I dont watch the whole video, as i tend to find they go in circles quite a bit, where as others just give the specs, show the 'through the lens' videos and shots, give their opinion at the time, job done in half the time.
      When i do watch your videos i tend to skim trying to find what i want to know, rather than watch you look around a room for ages which tends to show little to nothing of any benefit, but it has been in a few of your videos rather than edited out.
      Why do i want to produce north of 600 videos, i have no interest in doing that at all. Quite happy doing the job i have, not complaining about it either.
      But again, you still have done nothing at all to indicate any form of clarity to the point that confused me in the first place...
      How it came across to me is you are pissed off with Pimax and their widely known terrible customer service, and you seem to be hinting at the fact you dont intend to support their products any more...
      Rather than explaining what you meant, you went on a tangent about people being jealous of you because you get the products free, and you complaining that you work so hard putting out these videos that you claim you dont get paid for...
