Honestly finally anyone gets screen time. As much as I love the franchise the first version of SMTV was clearly a project that was cut before being finished the gameplay was there but the story barely existed. Hopefully this version is a good redemption for it.
Gameplay was actually fun tho. Interractions between demons and the atmosphere was really great but story only in last 2 hours or so and it was nothing crazy sadly

“Your Knowledge will serve-its destruction is at hand,” is such an odd and specific splice that it must be important. (Wild speculation incoming) I still think Yoko is Lilith’s Knowledge, but Lilith doesn’t seem like she’s interested in fusing with her. The Ideal World trailer’s video description called for wiping out *humans* and demons. I think that Lilith wants to free Knowledge from humanity.

My first SMT game im excited, im coming straight off of finishing persona 3 reload.
have fun, smt v is tied as my favourite smt game and game of all time (with SMT4) . Vengeance looks like V but even better, so Im sure you will enjoy it

I've been waiting for this since SMT4 as i didn't play the switch release. The wait was worth it.
Aside from great gameplay and a few interesting side quests, you didn't miss anything. This looks way better than the original SMT5.
@@LadyIno I was willing to deal with OG SMT5's shortcomings, but the bad performance on Switch wasn't one of them.

SMTV is one of the few times I went Law (the other options were ass tho and I don't like perfect neutral endings), alongside DeSu1 and SMT 1. Interested where I will go for Vengeance.

I mean look at persona 3 reloads DLC the absolute last day of may with literally no news no nothing and a quick trailer randomly on I think just Twitter. So it’s not just Nintendo atlus put this way of doing things in motion
It comes out a week before Elden Ring's dlc, it is the wrong time. By the time i'm done with that this will probably be free on gamepass anyway so i don't mind.

It's not an extremely long game to be honest. I did it just before the original smt5 and I got through it.
SMTV is a lot longer so you may get burned out.

It's Garulu from SMT Devil Summoner (Sega Saturn, 1995). His first design in 3D was in SMT III Nocturne.
i dont know if youre talking about the demon attacking or being attacked, if youre talking about the demon being attacked, then the person above me is right, that is Garulu, but if youre talking about the demon attacking, im pretty sure that was one of the dlc demons in the original smtV

As the OG SMTV gamer, is it worth replaying the Canon of Creation or can I jump straight into Canon of Vengance mode? Is there new things added to the OG story that is worth replaying?
Vengeance builds on top of Creation, so unless you're nostalgic for it (for some reason), Vengeance should be the definitive experience.

from what the directors told on their stream, canon of creation receives the QoL on gameplay aspects. the story and everything else stays the same.

I'm a huge fan of Persona but never played SMT. This will be my first, and I'm looking forward to it!
It was the first SMT game I completed, in May to be precise. It's very addictive and accessible, and I suggest that you try it on Casual difficulty.
@@gotinogaden no, not casual difficulty. @ColecioNandoPixels Play it on Normal, if you struggle then turn it down, but I recommend playing with the challenge.
Hype. Even though everyone gave SMT5 mixed and poor reviews, I adored it. Criminally underrated, misunderstood and overlooked game. The world, art direction, atmosphere and sound track made this my favorite SMT and I even like it better than any personas. If that's how I felt about the original, I can't imagine how amazing this edition will be.
It was supposed to be a good game it was just clearly released before they would have wanted it and ended up with barely any story and being held back by the switch.
But the vision they had was clearly very cool and combat wise it's probably the best out of the smt and persona main line games.

can someone pls enlighten me what the saved game bonus means? do you get to pick 3 demons in your old compendium and can u have them at the beginning of the game at no cost whatsoever???
It's important to first note that the feature pertains only to the Switch version of Vengeance. It's 3 demons from the Compendium (from the corresponding save file) but the option is more inline with the demons having to be summoned again once you reach the level allowing for that. Think of the Newborn NG+ mode in the vanilla version, wherein Compendium info and stats transfer, but you still have to level up in order to take advantage of it.
@@gotinogaden Thank you so much for the clarification. Now I know, I shall skip the game until a sale comes out. I would have wanted to have the choice to go thru the game with the demons from my old save file without restricitons. I finished the game already and have unlocked multiple ending thru many playthrus and now with vengeance, I have to go thru them again. I dont really want to have to play thru them again from scratch. I wished they would have given us the freedom to go thru the game as we see fit.
@@mrr_pchMore power to you, wait for a sale, but you don't have to go through them again, with vengeance there is now a new alternative path, where you see the nahobino in that updated edgier form, with the scythe fingers instead of sword fingers.

You can go into each title separately so you can play this one without having played the others. Each games story doesn't really relate to the previous entries
