I really don't understand why this guy doesn't have a huge subscriber base. His videos consistently have one massive advantage over alot of other tip videos, and that is clarity.
I would say that the games he plays are still a bit niche. And people who play them are a bit introvert. But yeah rozalin is an incredible RUclipsr and deserves only the best

What a fantastic game. Im 10hours in and really looking forward to finding out why we got sucked into the netherworld and how we get back. So much to do. Really enjoying meeting all the demons via side quests. This game is a gem
Awesome sauce to see Sega paying you some well deserved attention! Do you recommend people who played SMTV to replay creation first or vengeance?
I don't see an issue with playing either first outside of if you are going for trophies and/or Godborn mode, in which case you would absolutely want to ~100% the True Neutral Ending of original story first to save yourself a lot of time.

7:40 I made the same mistake on confusing Magatsuhi Wellspring ( recover MP and HP if the Gauge is full at the start of a turn) for Magatsuhi Spring ( recover MP and HP if the Gauge becomes full in battle.)
So Magatsuhi Spring actually has a slight mistranslation and is supposed to be, "Slight MP recovery for all allies in the active party while the Magatsuhi Gauge is full in battle." Either that or the Japanese text is wrong which is certainly possible.

As always thanks for the tips. One question I have. When I played vanilla SMTV I used your builds for Cleo, Alice, Idun, etc. Are they still viable in Vengeance or are there better demon builds I should be considering? Thanks!

I had always planned to pick up this version on PS5 so I didn't really put any thought into which demons I would choose to bring over on Switch.

First action when going to the demon fusing screen is to update your compendium. I do that all the time so everything is up to date
For the most part this is definitely true, especially since you can always pull out the base version as well in this game. There are some niche scenarios though where you may not want to overwrite you saved demon -- a key one I can think of is if you have a demon saved right before they gain their last skill so you can save scum multiple essences off of them.
Do you have any idea whether the fusion chains for your previous builds will work on Vengeance or not? Also do you plan on making build guides foe this version of the game?
I haven't test the builds yet so I'm not 100% sure, but I was able to recreate both Idun and Artemis without complex chains using essences. As for build guides, I will probably put some out.

Note: Hello man how you doing, oh and iis the fusion calculator for this already got datamined, and is SMT V’s difficulty still retained after the changes?
Datamine isn't fully out yet but is being updated. New story is slightly more difficult than original but not by much. The real challenge is Godborn mode, but that requires specific unlock steps. Basically, you need to do the original story's True Neutral Ending, then NG+ into the new storyline which will unlock a new super boss; beat that super boss and that will unlock the new Godborn NG+ mode.

When you respec do you get your glory refunded? I started with a mag build but want to switch to phys. Sadly I’ve already invested glory into elemental affinities tho

Is physical still the best or did they buff magic build for main character?
Among the new essences for the MC, one of them has the potential to make an extremely good magic build, but I haven't personally tested it yet. There are also some interesting buff spells for him too, so alongside Kannabi Veil, a support MC is probably very viable too.

Yeah when you mentioned pay attention to innate skills reminded me of my only game over so far and it wasn’t even a boss well I guess it was kind of a mini boss but it was an abscess muu shuwuu I hit them with a piercing skill but u fortunately muu shuwuu innate skill basically deals the exact amt of damage dealt to them by an opponent who uses a piercing skill… it one shot my nahobino
also for essences another method is to fight the Magatsu enemies they from what I’ve seen drop their essence 100% of the time also again idk but maybe save scum the demon haunt they also give essences there
Does idun still the best healer? I really like your demon build from the og smt v, does it still apply in smt v vengeance?
So even in the original game Idun does eventually got outclassed by Demeter but she is still just as strong in this version. That being said, if you pick up the new DLC, Konohana Sakuya is basically a straight upgrade to her.

@@k.ir.a9968 I mean that's really up to you; while she is stronger than Idun, it's not by that much. It really just comes down to whether or not you feel the price is worth two new demons or not.

That decision really comes down to whether or not you care about unlocking the Godborn NG+ mode and/or the platinum trophy, or not. If you want either of those things, then I would highly suggest doing Creation first and aiming for the True Neutral Ending; otherwise you can really play them in any order.
Is pumping all stat boosts into strength still the best strat or is magic better now?
Depends on what you are doing and what difficulty you are playing on; there is a viable magic build, as well as a pure support build now too.
@@RozalinGaming for a hard mode playthrough, sounds like all strength is still the way to go?
@@rrahma114 I'm currently running a magic build on hard mode. Full strength is only really necessary if you are going for cheesy 1-shots on bosses; other than that as long as your build is focused, anything should work. There is an item that lets you reallocate your stats too just in case you want to experiment.
Is there a spoiler free summary on how to actually approach the remake if you've played the original? I've heard completing one route unlocks things in another and vice versa but not entirely sure. Ig the main question is would doing the creation route first again be optimal even if you've played it already for the purposes unlocking secret bosses etc?
Route specific unlocks from the original story are still unlocked that (ex. Chaos Ending letting you choose any skill when fusing a new demon). One new super boss is only available in the original story -- the best spoiler-free advice I can give to unlock it is fuse every demon and do their side quests. There is another super boss that requires you to first get the True Neutral Ending on original story path, and then you can get a quest for it on NG+ on Vengeance story path -- this is how you unlock Godborn mode.
Final thing, Vengeance story path also has multiple endings but unlike the original story path where the main things that mattered were the questions near the end, Vengeance works more like past SMT titles, so be careful with that.
@@RozalinGaming I have a question, can you infinitely keep doing NG+ while switching around difficulties and story paths? Like for example if I beat the Vengeance story on Hard on my first playthrough can I then do NG+ (where I assume I keep most of the stuff I earned as well as levels, etc) while playing either on Hard again or increasing the difficulty further? Or it doesn't work that way?
@@Dwesk Whenever you choose to do NG+, it will ask if you want to do Newborn (minimal carry over), Reborn (carry almost everything over) or if you've unlocked it, Godborn (a special NG+ with Reborn carry-overs, enemies scaled to level 150, new demons, new essences, etc.). After that you get to choose which difficulty you want to play on again, and then once the game starts, you get the route choice again as well. For the platinum trophy you need to do a minimum of 6 runs on one save file.
@@RozalinGaming Wait so if you do Godborn is it like some Extra-Hard difficulty or can you somehow do the Godborn thing on casual? :D
@@Dwesk Godborn can be done on any difficulty, but it requires you to beat a new super boss to unlock and all enemies will be scaled up to level 150; in general though, it is supposed to be a harder mode, so even if you are playing on Normal for example, Godborn Normal will be more challenging than a standard Normal run.
So, since we have two separate stories, we will need to gather full compendium 2 times? (If I want to go on NG+ with 100% compendium)

You don't have to. When you choose to do NG+ you get to select which story you want to do while keeping everything you want like normal.

I thought I would need to go through both stories on NG and two more times for both stories on NG+. But maybe it will be more efficient to play through the original story on NG and through new story on NG+?!
@@kiranis2174 the way it works is when beginning a game, you choose which story to play through, but the file is still one file so regardless of if you choose the old or the new, everything that transfers will transfer regardless.

Nice video but with all the reviewers out no one has mentioned about what happens when starting the Vengeance story-line after beating the original game. Does any thing get carried over?
Are you referring to if you had the original game on Switch and then got SMT5V on Switch as well?

@@nyn2k259 I can't say for certain since I was only provided a PS5 copy, but from what I've heard you get some bonuses based on which endings you got in the original game. As for what those bonuses are, that I'm not sure of either.

@@nyn2k259 did you do NG+ runs to get those endings on one save file, or use separate save files for each ending? Because to get the bonuses the endings needed to be on one save file.
I'm about to play SMT5:V for the first time on PC, having no previous SMT experience. Should I choose Creation or Vengeance first?
Either one is fine from a story perspective, but CoV is slightly more challenging due to the bosses so if that is a concern then maybe start with CoC.
Almighty strength based attacks + physical and almighty pleromas + critical boosts. I just make Nahobino’s strength super high. There’s also the proficiency miracles for almighty and physical attacks. You can make an absolute tank. I also got an ability that heals my MP when there’s a critical hit.
The other demons can do the elemental stuff. Loki is good to have the 4 main elements, then it’s good to have one or two demons that specialize in light and dark. Vishnu is top tier late game for this. Lakshmi makes a great white mage. Siegfried for an additional physical damage demon. Otherwise, just fuse Metatron and Sandalphon asap. The final boss was a joke for me lol I’m on my 2nd playthrough, and I wanna crush Shiva and Demi-fiend just the same
Is there a way to reallocate your statpoints for protagonist ?
Yes, there is an item that lets you do this, though it is fairly rare.
The fights aren't too tough but much more difficult than persona, single level different or certain enemy debuff and you're done in.
Anyways is the essence a limited resource that's why you save scum it?
Essences aren't limited in that you can get them multiple times, but you can only hold one of any given essence at a time. The reason to save scum for them is if you want multiples of a demon's essence for passing around certain skills. You'll find many essences through the world, and Gustav will sell more and more as you progress, but for any that aren't sold, once you use one you get as an item from treasure orbs, the only way to get another is for a demon to give it to you.
Can I new game plus on different canons? Because I haven't played smt 5 yet so I want to play the first path.
Yep. The path select happens after you start NG+, so you can make that choice each time.
Should I buy the dlc bundle? I see some people say it will ruin the game and make it too easy?
The DLC is entirely optional even if you buy it since it becomes a togglable setting in the menu (for the money, EXP, glory DLC).

can someone recommend to me a must have miracles for early game even late game miracles
Prioritize miracles that increase the number of skills you and your demons can have, how many skills can be passed down through Essence Fusion, and finally anything that increases how quickly the Magatsuhi gauge fills. After that it really doesn't matter, though I would avoid the mastery miracles (fourth page of miracles) until you've solidified what build you want and have gotten everything in the categories I mentioned first (skills, essence fusion, magatsuhi).

Hoping someone who has played can answer, are you able to freely choose ALL skills a demon inherits on Fusion now? Or are you still restricted so they have to have certain skills and therefore have less choice and less skills you can bring over? I always hated that because it made fusions nearly worthless when you lose half of a demon's value. And the only fix was locked behind NG+ after a Chaos ending.
It works just like the original game for that ability -- you unfortunately need to do CoC Chaos.

@@dietrichrache1975 It's really not that bad. If you're actively grabbing all items spheres on the map you can make most demons entirely with essence fusion.

Hello! Does this take 20+ hrs before the story really gets going like persona 3s story?
While persona 3 is a great game I still feel like it did not have to be mentioned for mainline smt re release. Especially since most additions and minor Easter eggs are based off SMT 4. Dagda dlc btw.

Probably about 7-ish in vengeance-after you get back from the netherworld and get ambushed in the train station. It’s probably shorter if you rush to bosses rather than trying to 100% it like I did
May I ask how you stop the planet earth in order to reach 50 hours when the game just came out less than a half a week ago
As stated at the very beginning of the video, Sega sponsored me and thus provided me with a key to the game early. Even though it released yesterday, I've had access to it for much longer than that.

@@RozalinGaming I personally getting the free DLC Safety difficulty for some of the repeat playthroughs (at least for the endings you didn't pick in your first Canon of Creation run).
Is magic build still sucks?
Lots of the new exclusive nahobino skills are magic so I really hope not
I'm currently testing a few different non-Nahobino builds using new and old skills; one is a ice/dark magic build that also has a poison them, one is an ice/almighty magic build, and one is pure support. So far they all are working well for end-game content but each still have flaws I'm working out.
I thought the magic build was better in smtV?
@@Delmworks magic build is good in early/mid game, strengh build shines in late game. Both builds are balanced well in SMT V.

@@kiranis2174 with planning 6 is the minimum number of runs for the platinum; it's long :(
I’m worried that all the additions of gameplay in vengeance will make the game easier. I hope they rebalanced the original enemies.
Vengeance is a slightly more difficult fresh playthrough do to the bosses; however, if you unlock Godborn, that is specifically designed to be extremely hard and tuned for level 150.
They didn’t, but that’s ok, because the new bosses are happy to wreck your shit

My biggest crutch in STM/Persona games, even tho I only played Q/Q2/Royal/Strikers/Tactica and now Vengeance, is that I exclusively only use Persona/Demon waifus and female characters. I just can't be bother with monsters and dudes. Only exceptions are those that look like femboys, like Dionysius, who is pretty sexy.

The decision on which story path to take is technically made after starting the game and so either can be done in NG+ -- it's setup this way because it's necessary for both trophy purposes but also superboss/godborn unlocking.
