    I too use a lot of IKEA items in my studio. I love their version of the pegboard, the small ironing board, the Knagglig crates, the Moppe small storage box which is perfect for buttons, and small items, and the KLÄMMEMACKA, which is wonderful. Oh, and it was lovely to see that you too have a furred tailor's assistant. My black cat knows he must inspect every item on the sewing table. :)

    Another quilting notion from Ikea is the lint roller. About $2 and comes with several extra rolls. I have one at my cutting area and another at my ironing station, and one by my design wall. Can't do without them.

    Wow! Great ideas and so helpful to see how they are actually used! I have been looking at Ikea for months to get some Kallax cubbies to store the toys for the grandkids. They are always out of stock! I love how you used them for storage in the sewing room, and also the drawer units. Thanks for all this information. It has been really helpful for me. BTW, I have 4 Billy bookcases in my sewing room. Three hold fabric, the fourth one holds panels, kits, thread, CD’s,, some fabric collections, and sewing manuals. They are bolted to the walls since we live in earthquake country, and they hold a ton of fabric and supplies.

    Thanks for your videos. Chock full of info w/o a lot of filler conversation. I’m trying to make an ironing board just like yours and I’m wondering what are all the parts/layers you’ve used? Thank you for your time.

    Great stuff! I'm going to use Kallax under an old wood door I recently switched out from one of my closets - It will make a great cutting table in my sewing area (in my basement). Question - really outside the box - I really like the floor in your basement, can you tell me more about it. I'm asking because my sewing space is in my basement and I've been going back and forth about flooring in that room. Right now, it's just concrete.

    • @Chatterboxquilts
      @Chatterboxquilts  2 года назад

      It's cork flooring. Warm-ish (definitely better than concrete) and easy on the feet but it does scratch so if you have dogs - watch out!

    I spotted this video and loved it.Thank you. Very helpful. 2 questions. What do you use the egg carton for (it was in the drwa next to you machine)? And where can I get the black cat, or do you hire him to add spice to your video presentations. 😹

    • @Chatterboxquilts
      @Chatterboxquilts  Год назад +1

      I put my needle packets in the egg carton - 80/12 in one area, 90/14 in another, etc. As for Salem, well she is part of the company and costs lots of money to convince her to join my videos in the form of food, toys, and treats 😉🐈‍⬛

    Will 3 small trofast bins fit in one Kallax cubby?

      Yes, they will with some extra room to spare at the top.
