Ever since Philippine Airlines was handled by Lucio Tan, it never went upward but rather on downward spiral, slowly degrading.
The once mighty airlines carrying our flag with pride and honour, has changed into something so mediocre that it looks like a budget airlines.
However, despite of all that, I still loved flying with Philippine Airlines. There’s a spirit of being at home flying with carrier flag, and the pilots were really great. Taking off and landing with Philippine Airlines pilot is a breeze, you know you’re in good hands with them.
The Sunriser livery will rise again and shine through. We have faith in you PAL
Admiring Philippine Airlines employees, you guys never really stopped and I’m so thankful and at the same time very proud as a foreign airline employee also who was force to early retirement, I do believe in our flagship and will continue flying Philippine Airlines ❤️❤️❤️😇😇😇🙏🙏🙏

It really is heartbreaking. This made me cry 😭. I cant imagine how many amazing crew/employee lost their jobs. PAL has always been and will always be my 1st choice when flying. Thank you PAL for your excellent service. We will always support you. Godbless!

Yes please! We’ve seen how PAL improved all throughout the years and decades, remounting ceased routes and acquiring newer fleet with more modern cabins (remember when it almost became a budget airline?). Now, it is a 4-star airline and it really shows. PAL is our pride!

Why? It's not even government owned. The country has several all-private-owned carriers.
@@kimarnina PAL is not even owned by the Gov't. It is the only flag carrier airline I know that is not owned by the government. Also, PAL has the most outrageous attitude toward their passengers. Especially, handling after-flight issues. As a Filipino, it is heartbreaking. I hope the government starts seeing this, and do something about it! take back the ownership of PAL! and stop the oligarchy in the Philippines.
They are an embarrassment to the wonderful Pilipino people. I've never been treated as poorly as PAL treats customers after losing their baggage. Heaven forbid you have a customer issue. 3 weeks of terrible service for zero compensation@@marymontero2670

I raised seeing the airline above in our home (as the airport is nearby) and since then, I had always dreaming of one day I will be getting a chance to fly to one of its flights. So, dream fulfilled. We could tell the filing was coming on the flights we took feb and June as items were broken and needed repair (tv monitors, etc) but the workers were as good as ever working with what they had!! Thanks for hanging in there!

Philippine Airlines is the Best Airline to fly with. The Cabin Crews are polite, gracious, well groomed, neat and friendly. As an aspiring flight attendant, seeing these predicaments that the aviation industry is facing right now can be truly devastating, in fact many lost their jobs, most particularly the cabin crews and the commercial employees in-flight or on ground. But after seeing this video it made me realize that the airline industry is making every possible ways and stratagems to recover its losses from the pandemic, and it somewhat gave me a glimpse of hope and assurance to be more perseverant and determined to reach the horizons of my dreams, I salute all the people who are working in the airline industry; the pilots, cabin crews, and all the commercial employees, I pray for your continued support and guidance to overcome the challenges we are facing right now... From my personal experience, the flight attendants on Philippine Airlines are some of the nicest people in the business. Much more friendlier than when I got to the United States and got on a Delta Airlines flight, what a world of difference in kindness and professionalism. Looking forward to flying back to the Philippines this June on PAL

Much respect to PAL for being honest about this. Not all companies, especially big ones like airlines would be willing to publicize this sort of thing. I really do feel bad for PAL because it is evident that they tried their absolute best to keep things afloat, it’s just that unfortunately, government rules and restrictions prevented them from fully doing so. As someone who is longing to visit my family and friends in the Philippines, there is that desire but the way that things are going in Philippines at the moment, it simply is best to stay put. I know for a fact that that is one of the many reasons why airlines like PAL are suffering; because a lot of folks feel reluctant to fly home.
Anyway, idk what needs to be done from a business standpoint, but what I do know is that the government needs to reassess their rules and restrictions, particularly in regards to quarantine. I’m not saying that they need to remove quarantines, just that they make it reasonable and rational. I feel like that will at the very least increase the desire to travel to the Philippines and thus help airlines gain revenue again. Anyway, best of luck to PAL and I hope to fly with you again soon. 🙏🏼
