Beautiful course, nice round. Don’t get the wrong idea, many of us in the states love winter and rainy day golf, keeps the crowds out and makes for a good pace.
Cheers Mr Moke, I had to rush at the start but it was worth it. I read a review about how good the greens were and they didn't disappoint! Just a couple of showers rolled through but nothing too heavy thankfully!
I love your content, really enjoyed watching you chip away at your handicap. Your striking is so much better than your earlier videos. Thanks for the weekly content!
Nice chip out of that bunker hole 2. i agree rain affects my putting as well...I've been told to practice putting in the rain...Anyway as always a pleasure to watch and keep at it mate!
Cheers Manny, that was one of the best bunker shots I've ever played. Tough to putt when it's rainy or heavy conditions as the speed of the greens can change quickly. Thanks for watching :-)
I watch all of your videos. Our handicap is around the same. Love to see your improvement. Your short game is on point. Keep up the good attitude and work.
Warkworth and Alnmouth Village (the oldest 9 holer in England )both in Northumberland ,are fabulous 9 hole courses. Knutsford in Cheshire is also well worth a visit.
On the 8th hole, you said the fairway bunker is 202, you used your driver which was going around that distance, why did you not hit a 3 wood? Enjoyed your round as always 👍
Hi James I really enjoy following you on your travels and I would like to offer my one and only piece of advice which is quite simply, Xmas is around the corner and your game would greatly benefit getting a full custom fit set of clubs... you don't need to go and pay silly money for a branded new set but if you get your specs you will be able to get a decent set of clubs that are more suitable for you, please don't take this as a criticism as one is not intended... I would like to see you improve over time, anyway what do I know lol🥳🌟🎊🎉💫
Well played. Unlucky with some shots. Maybe a 8 or 9 iron instead of sw. Par 5 8th hole. Or you need a even more loftier club. But impressed that you managed the 6 over. 👍🏻👍🏻⛳️
@@notaperfectgolfer3489 yeah. Just enjoy your golf. I’m enjoying watching. Next year I’ll Be playing again. Had my operation.. so far ( fingers crossed 🤞🏻) it’s ok so far. 👍🏻👍🏻
Great playing. You Brits don't seem to mind a bit of rain. I don't even think about playing with rain in the forecast nor with temps below 52f\11C. Yes, that is a very nice 9 hole course. Would like to learn more about that sign though. EDIT: Went to their website and balls going into a residential area are the reason. They redesigned the tee boxes to minimize balls into the homes.
Re the rain; we literally have no choice, if we want to play regularly. Particularly in Wales - James' neck of the woods. I haven't played sub 5C for a while, but then again just bought some golf cart mittens, which I'm waiting to arrive. Very pleasant sunny 8c on Tuesday.
Cracking course. Must have been soul destroying to wait 20 minutes in the rain lining up a putt then stick it 2 inches left! Nice round though - p.s. i cam 3rd in my division with 2 clubs and a putter with 33 points, winner had 36 so pretty pleased! Happy December.
The traffic sounds aren't that bad in the flesh. The iphone mic picks up too much background noise and sounds 5 times louder than normal on the 7:33 tee shot. Genevieve Ling has a golf channel I watch and the iphone sound is weird on every tee shot.
Loved this James, well played mate :) get yourself further up north, there’s some beautiful courses, one local to me is Carus green, check the website out it’s brilliant, have a good day 👍
I did a solid hour after in the short game area too. Definitely got my £15 worth on this day! I don't usually film in the rain but might do another one soon as it gives an extra dimension. The Silent Golfer channel: ruclips.net/video/ZAg36NtkXm0/видео.html did an excellent vlog in the rain in this vid. Thanks for watching :-)
Beautiful gold course awesome!!! I love playing in the rain!!!!

Thanks as always James. Have a good weekend.
Well played James. Really enjoy the variety of different courses you play 👍🏼 keep them coming please
I love your content, really enjoyed watching you chip away at your handicap. Your striking is so much better than your earlier videos. Thanks for the weekly content!
Warm up! Very good advice. Particularly in this colder weather.
Don't want to pull muscle and miss a week or two.
Well done James good round special in this weather

nice insight into the course .... as justed the club yesterday
Enjoy, the greens were as good as it gets!
Great video. Love this course, playing in an hour and would snatch your hands off for your score haha
Superb golf by you again and enjoyed the par from the wrong tee!! Well done
Great post. I am a member here and love it. Very friendly club. Thought you played it really well. Thank you 😊
Cheers Steve, it's a great course and not as easy as it appears. I'd love to practice every week on your excellent chipping area!
I watch all of your videos. Our handicap is around the same. Love to see your improvement. Your short game is on point. Keep up the good attitude and work.
Cheers John, I'm going to do a video soon on my stats and it is interesting as to where the big weaknesses of my game are. Thanks for watching
Fridays mean a video by James. Always enjoyable. Nice round!
Another nice video James. Well played. 🏌️
Well played. Alnmouth village n/land great course
Was not aware of this course. Thank you as I'm not far away.
It's quieter midweek and has a great short game area
James, love your content! Your channel is one of my favorites on RUclips. Keep it up!
Cheers Red, thanks for watching mate
Nice 9 hole course, nicely played 👍
Lovely course. Your weather sure changes quickly over there. ⛳️
Hi James. 11.6 still heading down. I’m 12.3. You’ll be my target when I get back on the course in May! Take care. Have a happy Xmas season.
Cheers Dane, all the best! 👍
You should try Birchwood which is just up the road from here, lovely course.
I miss seeing those Brown socks of yours from your summer play. I guess I'm nostalgic.
My trusty brown merino wool socks. They've saved me from so many blisters! haha
Well played, love these different local courses you play. Gives us an incite of what the courses are like 👍
Cheers Andy, I'm not a member anywhere right now and that is definitely good for variety in these videos!
Little warm up on the 3rd approach did you well 👍
Yeah, that 3 minute wait gave me plenty of time to align properly! lol :-)
Warkworth and Alnmouth Village (the oldest 9 holer in England )both in Northumberland ,are fabulous 9 hole courses. Knutsford in Cheshire is also well worth a visit.
Northumberland is a bit far but I will check out the Knutsford course when I can. Cheers John 👍
Sunshine and showers, nice round on a good looking course.
Cheers David, I enjoyed the round. I read some reviews about the greens being good and they didn't disappoint! :-)
you need to try pytchley near northampton. great wee course
Thanks for the recommendation 👍👍👍
Great chip on 4 !!!!!!
Cheers man, I was really happy with that one!
There a nice 9 hole course in wigan called porters wood. Its 2 par 4’s rest par 3’s. £8 for 9 holes some really tight holes
I can’t remember the last time you had the dreaded ‘snowman’ which used to feature now and again. A good measure of progress.
Yeah, how times have changed! 👍
On the 8th hole, you said the fairway bunker is 202, you used your driver which was going around that distance, why did you not hit a 3 wood? Enjoyed your round as always 👍
Question _ did over dub the music on hole 8, (where you had a double bogie), to mask your swearing ?? great video as usual.
Yeah, that blow up hole came out of nowhere haha 👍👍
Bunker play is definitely improving James, keep it up. Lovely looking course..if you ever come to Spain I’ll get you onto my course at la Serena 🇪🇸
Cheers Terry, I'm not planning on visiting Spain any time soon. I just looked up La Serena and the bunkering look insane! haha :-)
@@notaperfectgolfer3489 it is James and there’s water on 16 holes…it’s in great condition 🏌️♂️☀️🇪🇸
I love 9 hole courses It'd be great to see a series on them.
Cheers Nicky, Thanks for the suggestion. I really like playing 9 hole courses. Sometimes it's great to whiz round in 90 mins!
Great round James, so many of the 10-12 footers only just missed.
Cheers Paul, the pros only make 40% of those putts so I can't feel too bad about it! :-)

Nicely played! Could easily have been just three over with a bit of luck. I’d like to see you play Delamere.
Nice vid
Alder Root is a great 9 hole course also in Warrington 👍🏻
Well played once again. Is your handicap still at 12? Enjoyable to watch
Cheers Dane, 11.6 now
Looks like a course that's suitable for us high handicappers 😊
We like to play golf, not torture ourselves! haha 👍
Well played. Unlucky with some shots. Maybe a 8 or 9 iron instead of sw. Par 5 8th hole. Or you need a even more loftier club.
But impressed that you managed the 6 over. 👍🏻👍🏻⛳️
Cheers Steven, I would have taken the +6 at the start of the day especially with the intermittent showers!
@@notaperfectgolfer3489 yeah. Just enjoy your golf. I’m enjoying watching. Next year I’ll
Be playing again. Had my operation.. so far ( fingers crossed 🤞🏻) it’s ok so far. 👍🏻👍🏻
Can you play year round in the UK? Here in Utah USA it's winter can't play
Pretty much, yes. There's generally a foul or freezing week or two, but not last winter. The greatest threat is a waterlogged course.
If your daft enough you can play everyday, unless of couse its closed.
On this course yes unless it's had a lot of rain. We are off mats from October till March roughly but still playing.
Great playing. You Brits don't seem to mind a bit of rain. I don't even think about playing with rain in the forecast nor with temps below 52f\11C.

Good stuff with your comp! A few putts didn't drop on this day but sometimes that's how it goes. Thanks for watching :-)
I wish I could hit my 4-iron 303 yards just to reach the green on 5 without looking like I’m trying to.
Best 9 hole course I’ve played is Knutsford golf club
Cheers mate, it's on the list now thanks for the recommendation 👍
It's an OK course but the background noise from the M6 spoils it.
The traffic sounds aren't that bad in the flesh. The iphone mic picks up too much background noise and sounds 5 times louder than normal on the 7:33 tee shot.
Genevieve Ling has a golf channel I watch and the iphone sound is weird on every tee shot.
Sandwiched between a housing estate and the M62 !!! There are far far better 9 holers, Knutsford, Old Colwyn, Rhyl etc
@@notaperfectgolfer3489 I have played it as I used to work at Birchwood so it's not just noise from listening to the video.
Nice course but I think Southport Old Links ( 9 hole ) is better.
Loved this James, well played mate :) get yourself further up north, there’s some beautiful courses, one local to me is Carus green, check the website out it’s brilliant, have a good day 👍
Looks like a nice course that one. I'll add it to the list cheers Daniel 👍
Lovely course, pity it is not 18 holes.
There's a better 9 hole course in Warrington called Alder Root. Definitely worth a visit.
Cheers, Ray Alder Root is added to the ever growing list!
I would say Alnmouth Village Golf Club is a better course and its the oldest 9 hole links course in England
Mostly you don't seem to play in the rain. £15 is a bargain.
I did a solid hour after in the short game area too. Definitely got my £15 worth on this day!

Hole 5, 2nd shot... 22 Hybrid... are you sure? Looked like an iron to me.
Yeah, my mistake Ian. It was a 7 iron which ended up pin high but not on target lol
Remember the days before you played & you would think, don't those people have enough sense to get out of the rain. 😂😂😂👍👴🏌🏾♂️⛳
