I did a review of my stats and my scrambling was very poor for the most part. So I did some practice on changing techniques and something clicked instantly :-)
Brilliant short game play and scrambling with your sand wedge mate, don't replace that club anytime soon! Great round, thanks for sharing, a pleasure to watch. :)

Well done James. I have watched your progress. Your short game has come along in leaps and bounds. And you ate starting to get some good distance with all the other clubs. Now the hard work begins. 1 simple tip with putting. Deloft your putter by simply having your shaft leaning slightly forward of centre. You will get a better roll.

Enjoyed the short game clinic, very well done. Good work crafting that aspect. As for those bunkers, they were in bad shape, and i couldn't have done much with them either. A 60 degree chip is all you can do there. And as for my guess on your travel location.....S.A?
Great round of golf James and some awesome play there - your pitching and chipping especially was superb. I noticed your change of technique, standing more open and almost cutting across the ball, and it has definitely helped you flop the ball up and land it so it stops near the hole - some very good scrambling. Excellent putting as well, holing a number of 5 and 6 footers. I played Northop a few weeks after you when it had been quite wet and there were some holes on temp tees etc so wasn't as good as when you played it. Struggled a bit but will defo go back to play it again. I look forward to some course vlogs from abroad - have a great winter and Christmas in the sun!!⛳🏌♂☀

Definitely make a video about your chipping around the greens! Great round of golf played. You had an amazing score with the short play game being on point. Your score is just going to get even lower on a day you’re are hitting your usual consistency with the hybrid. Although your hybrid did come through especially on hole 7, what a terrific shot. So many close approaches

Always look forward to your videos, keep them coming on your travels! I have learned a lot from watching your videos as you have progressed, especially course management and not letting one bad shot at the beginning of a hole turn into a avalanche of errors!
Tip for hard bunkers, play it like a hard pan fairway, most lofted club, don't open face just play it like a normal short pitch shot trying to get ball then ground.

I know you came up a little bit short today but these kinds of scares make it easier to deal with the pressure when you get there again. You’ll get it soon enough, bud! That 6 iron to save or from 140 was INSANE! In my opinion the best shot you’ve ever hit on the channel.
