You can do it! Notice how he doesn't hit a long way, but goes for accuracy first. Learn to pitch, chip, and putt and you'll be shooting mid 80s before you know it. Good luck.

Well James, I finally broke down and played some actual golf 3 days ago. First time in about 4-5 years. I've mentioned before how terrible I am. My goal was to shoot triple bogey or better on each of the 9 holes I played. I didn't come anywhere close to that goal, shooting several quadruple and quintuple bogies. But, somehow I did manage to actually get a par on the very last hole, which was insane. I even got on the green in 2 and had a birdie putt (albeit VERY long). Anyway, as expected I did terrible, but it was an experience nonetheless. Looking forward to watching you do much better in this video. FYI, my score was 60 on 9 holes, and par was 36, so I was 24 over par on 9 holes. Yeah, I REALLY suck at golf.
@@rangerofthenorth2850 Normally I would agree with you, but I used to play a LOT more golf when I was younger, and I've actually gotten worse at golf as time has gone on, not better. I used to be able to shoot in the 80's (on 18 holes, par 72 course), now I couldn't shoot under 100. So, while I'm not trying to be argumentative, at least in golf I have found myself progressively getting worse as time has gone on. In all other sports, yes I have improved over time, but golf is in a different category (or as James would say, "Golf is a funny old game"). Thanks for the comment.

Nice round, very well played around Prestatyn. I’ve been lucky enough to play there a few times on golf trips and know how difficult it can be - not an easy track. Good to see they have tidied up the rough as it’s quite tight especially on the home run down the railway line. I’m there again May 2023 and I’m hoping I can channel your round. Great to watch a relatable golfer play a course I know. Will definitely keep an eye out for your videos 👍🏻
You're playing So Well! The 7iron on the 5th was great, as was the up & downs on 10 and 13. When I started watching your channel, I felt my scores were lower, but you've for sure improved your game to the point where I'd fall behind you on any day.
Great round and your Driver was spot on. When you said easy pw on number 18 I thought to myself don’t hit it fat. That’s my specialty to decelerate on those type of shots😡! Thanks for the wonderful videos.
Hi, after getting back into Golf after 5 years off, I have joined Caernarvon GC and had a few lessons and and after 6 practice rounds the best score so far is 97!Not exactly Ryder cup Scoring but im on the way! Keep up the great golf & Videos.

Great round James. Playing well and with great consistency. I usually tail off to the end as the tiredness takes hold. A bit more work on the putting and you'll be under 80 no problems. Well done.
I love seeing you handicap go down every other week, You have very good course management and it shows you don’t need a prestige swing to card good scores(no offence, my swing is much worse tbh as I have screws in my right arm) keep up the good work lad! the single digit handicap isn’t far away =)
Who’s saying you don’t play difficult courses? If memory serves me correctly you’ve played Prestatyn, North Wales GC & Conwy all at least twice, all absolute beasts on their day!
So good with your irons. Also no idea how you manage to drive 230 yds with a driver with a three quarter backswing... but it works nice and straight, i'd give up 30 yards to be as straight as that. Keep it up.
I think he plays from yellow tees - which in the UK is usually between the forward and back tees. And playing off 13 is a little cheeky to still be playing from those tees. IMHO, the lower your hdcp, the further back you should be playing otherwise you're not really playing the course designed for your ability.
So James one thing I’m confused about is you said the yardage that we see includes the roll out but on hole 5 you had 174 and hit it 160 but you were only like 3 feet short so you only include rollout on drives?
Great round James, I do think you put extra pressure on yourself on the last hole by trying too hard to break 80, maybe you just got ahead of yourself a little, most of us have been there before, I know I have !! Cheers.
Great round. Common thinking is you either count all the way round or only at the 19th. Never, ever stand on 18th and do what you did. Lady Karma will call you out. Great video 👍
I have watched your game improve. I would recommend that you take the flag out on putts under 15 feet to improve your chances of holing out. Also find a practice putting green and work on your distance control ask I feel this is an area where you are struggling. Keep up the good work.

Nice vid mate, course looks very forgiving…bit to open plan for me, not very challenging but nice shots none the less.
It's a links course so without the wind it doesn't have much teeth. When it blows any hole could be a card wrecker! Thanks for watching :-)

Closest I’ve came to breaking 100 is 102, I’ve been golfing for a little over a year now. I’m getting extremely close!

It’s the best 8 rounds from your last 20 so you can have 12 shocking rounds and it may not effect your handicap
